^ Loveless is certainly one of the best albums ever and if you like washes of sound, well, sink in and die happy. Dead Cities, Red Seas, & Lost Ghots is also wonderful in its own right and one of my favorite recent albums. I haven't listened to the new album, though I've got a burned copy of it sitting on top of my TV at the moment. M83 was two guys, but for this album is just one guy. Those French synthesizer duos just have a rough time not letting their egos clash, I guess.

The Boatman's Call is pretty cool, but has none of the cagey, psycho style of Let Love In or the 80s albums. Saying it's like a really good Leonard Cohen album is a safe statement, I think. I really like No More Shall We Part from his recent material, but the best thing on it is the first trackm "As I Sat Sadly By Her Side." Which is really great.

Easily the Reynolds/Bear/"Don't Stop Believing" Fedex ad, and the Diet Pepsi truck P. Diddy ad.

The new chicken enchilada burrito at Taco Bell

I rather like the spicy chicken burrito. No tomatoes, though. Fuck a tomato. -

General Patton in the house. -
It's a good thing you like sports so much, or this weekend would be hell!

I didn't know him at all, but it looks like no one has bothered to turn off his computer yet. Thus, his screen name is still signed on with an away message, which reads: "Rippin' it up...yeahhh!!!"

So this kid in my dorm died last night.

Guys, this thread was supposed to be about a dead kid. Let's not get too far away from the issues here. -
Way to give me a brief erection and then force it to subside with your fake-out title.

Holy shit, I forgot how young I look in that. Halloween 2002. I think the glasses appear large because of the way they're tilted, because I've got the same model frames now and they don't look nearly as retarded. I hope. Purple Rain the movie has a bunch of great musical performances and is a really goofy movie otherwise. Incredibly fun to watch. As for YPOV's questions about other albums, you can't go wrong with Dirty Mind, Prince's first really great album, or Sign o' the Times, his 2-disc opus. The Hits collections (there are 2 of 'em) are also good if you want all his big singles in one place. -

Actually, I said, "We should be the World Trade Center," and we were going to each be a tower. But I didn't have a gray t-shirt, and I didn't really want to be a tower anyway when I had all the makings of a good Prince costume. -

Since I only use 1024x768 and keep my AIM list docked, I like to keep things looking nice. Here's a non-obscured picture of my roommate: -

Hey, I took out his IM name. That stands for something. The desktop background, btw, is my roommate's 9/11 costume. -

I'm also considering the possibility that his roommate put it up today. Not sure which is better/worse. -
omg covert operationz Fun story: the most interestingly bizarre thing I ever saw happen with word limits was in my first ever world title shot, which happened in something ridiculous like my 5th or 6th SWF match...er, IGN match, since we were still on those boards. Stubby was the world champ and wrote a match that was something like 6200 words, I think, and I was just under the 6000 word limit with 5999. Stubby's match was clearly better, but the guy marking the match (Rane, the original shape-changing babyface) didn't think it was fair to give him the win when he broke the rules, so he *rewrote the end of Stubby's match* and made it a DQ finish instead of a pin, ensuring that I would get another shot in some big multi-person match the next week.

That's what fans of every team do every year when they lose a commit.

No, that's totally when criticism should be. Greatest height, biggest fall, most effectiveness.

I can't believe I missed this until now. I got all hard just thinking about that wanton display of power.

She's only home during certain hours of the day. Forget what they are, but you can look them up in the Girlfriends FAQ at gamefaqs.

I was thinking Chase at first, but if I recall Jack said in the first episode that he's in Rome or something like that with Kim. Tony I was not expecting at all, which pwnz0red my bonez0r.

Let's not talk about the previews. I haven't watched one since I was able to figure out that Reza was getting capped by Marie during season 2.

I jumped out of my seat. I'm so lame.

Is there really that much hype for it? I've almost universally seen it reviewed less favorably than the debut. But I love it. It was a slow grower, and then something clicked. The first few times I listened to it, the album sounded fairly pedestrian, and I was disappointed. Now I found myself listening to it about 2-3 times a week. The lyrics are worlds better than on Turn on the Bright Lights, and the group has really amped up their pop sensibility to include all sorts of sounds. It still might not be as good as the debut, but it sounds as if it were made by a much more experienced, improved band, if that makes sense.

What Black Lushus said. They've gotta be one of the most generic, uninteresting bands I've ever heard. Oh snap!
