ASU goes 80 yards in 35 seconds. That was amazing.

Totally forgot the Sun Bowl was on. Whoops.

I think the Boise fans were chanting LSU earlier in the game. Ouch.

I hadn't heard anything off of this till now except "Pink Turns To Blue," which I loved. This album's pretty freaking great.

When my friends and I are done with the bottles we're going to go cut down IDRM.

Bored tagged you, again. You are the most fairweather weirdo in the world. Not you, Cabbageboy. I was out at the movies, but that makes the third game that all of us in Bored's contest were wrong on. Whoops. Sorta sorry I missed it. I've been really uninterested in this year's bowls.

Considering that they could have grossed $20 million for a few months work and still not make it onto this list, I'm sure they're doing just fine in their unwashed retirement.

I've never understood that mentality. Oh god no, someone keyed me onto an album I otherwise wouldn't have listened to. What a travesty.

I'll most likely be heading out onto the beach with 6 or 7 of my nearest and dearest friends, assorted bottled beers in tow. We plan to drink them all, put messages in the bottles, and either hurl them into the Gulf of Mexico or leave them all over town.

Vern's back in it. BC won, and Navy is pulling away in the 4th quarter. THE DRAMA!

No, this is exactly what I'm talking about. You've got this awful precondition going on. Your only justification for lowering yourself to help such a person is that they're about to experience physical harm. It's hypocritical dick-waving and five-year-old hero talk in regards to a person you think's going to burn in hell regardless. Helping a gay person in that situation is merely a means to show how noble a person you are, and that's it. Man, are you looking for something to twist around? Where did I say that I wouldn't step in for anyone else? Now, the types of bigoted Christians you guys want to make the standard for Christianity WOULDN'T step in if a homosexual were being harrassed by violent hatemongers. My point wasn't that they're weaker, my point was that I don't believe anyone should be beaten to death by other humans, especially not when the issue at hand is one that can only be worked out with God. You're not following what I'm saying. You're willing to step in and support a gay person only if they're in danger of physical harm. You won't support their rights as a group and you won't speak out against any sort of legislative injustice done to them, but you'll throw a punch if you see a gay guy getting ganged up on. You see the inconsistency here? It doesn't make you a better person to say "yeah, I'll throw down, I'll fight someone"; it just makes you someone who'll play tough guy but will go back to damning someone to a life of civil inequality after you've proven your goodness. The vast majority of the Christians I know have gotten over that outdated part of their faith and have no problem with gay people. What's yours?

Kotz, I hear there's another morgue down the street.

BC up 14-7 near the end of the fourth quarter in the Tire Bowl. I agree that it'd be nice to see Navy win a bowl game, but I don't think they're well-rounded enough. New Mexico's got a running game that goes beyond the option, and I think they'll pull it out.

Well, Texas Tech lost to New Mexico. Pretty much splitting hairs between them and Wyoming. Every conference has teams that lose a game they shouldn't.

I'm pretty familiar with Pulp, but only This Is Hardcore and Different Class, and I only own a copy of the latter. Needs more Jarvis. I actually just ordered a copy of the Wire box set for $35. It's the UK remasters of the first three albums, and I've had an awful time actually finding a copy of Chairs Missing anywhere, so it's on it's way.

Happy birthday, KingofOldSchool.

Applause here. -
Found one fine deal today: $7 used, pretty much perfect condition. I've wanted a copy of this for a while. Tomorrow I hopefully go and blow some Christmas cash, though I'm probably going to have to order most of what I want. The Wedding Present, Wire, Husker Du, and Pulp are all under consideration, with a little room left for ODB.

I don't think gay people would want you to back them up in a fight.

They also show that neither William Shakespeare nor William Golding can write worth shit. I was just skimming the thread. This poster's even dumber than the Hitler guy and it needed to be mentioned.

Why do you even care? They're your rival. I know you cheer for the conference and all, same way I root for the ACC, but c'mon. You can find joy in them winning or getting hammered. Quite a turnaround for Ohio State this season; they'll probably be ranked in the top 20 for the end of the season, which is astonishing considering how pitiful they looked during that run of Big Ten losses.

I'm still not really getting the "wet campus"/"dry campus" distinction. Are you saying that the student body isn't allowed to consume alcohol on a dry campus, regardless of where they live or what their age is? At my university, only about 40% of students live in dorms, and if you're underage, you're not allowed to drink in your room. If your RA finds out, they're required to report it or, if word gets back somehow that they didn't, they lose their free housing. If you are 21, you can drink in your room just fine. Is that dry? Is that wet? What is this world of lies?

Unbelievable. Fresno wins, 37-34. Tons of bad calls against UVA, but the guys just weren't up enough to overcome that and a good Fresno team. What a depressing end to the season.

Watch Rushmore again. You'll like it more. Or you will be a dumb box of hair.
