Blood Brothers, "Burn Piano Island, Burn." You'd think it'd get old quickly, but it really doesn't.

I could list another 5. I won't, because I'd like to retain a smidgen of dignity. Greg Dulli edition: 1. Afghan Whigs, "Citi Soleil" 2. Twilight Singers, "Teenage Wristband" 3. Twilight Singers, "Verti-Marte" 4. Afghan Whigs, "Be Sweet" 5. Afghan Whigs, "Lost in the Supermarket"

VA Beach, seven cities, C-Dub, the remix! Seriously, that's great. Monster congrats.

I can't decide if that's sarcastic or not......... And Secret Agent. I go to OU. They are very easy for me to buy. And they only cost me 130 bucks. As opposed to the 300-600 it cost the general public. That's the nice thing about going to a school with a football program still on its way up: the games are free for students. And we win at home constantly anyway, so hey, fine by me.

Yeah, if you just want to up and buy one, go with Stankonia. It has the strongest start of any of their albums and definitely feels the most instantly accessible. It's great all-around, too.

With every day I get the impression that Clark is more and more of a flake with too make-up. I'm probably voting Democrat in November, but if he were to pull the upset and win the nomination, it'd be a really hard vote to cast.

Outkast is *the* crossover rap act of our time. I don't think anyone else has received such unanimous critical acclaim and sold so many albums to so many different types of music fans. For some non-rappy inroads into Outkast, if you're not a big hip-hop fan: "Hey Ya," "The Way You Move," "B.O.B.," "So Fresh, So Clean," "The Whole World," "Ms. Jackson," and "Spottieotiedopalicious." All except the last one were huge crossover pop hits, and I chose the last one because it's one of their most interesting pieces. Should appeal to you no matter what you like. If you like what you hear, buy, as suggested, any of the three latest albums, and you're sure to like what you hear. A few of their best straight up rap tracks (my favorites, really) off those are "Rosa Parks," "Skew it on the Bar-B," "Humble Mumble," and "The Rooster." Also good off the new album are "Take Off Your Cool" and "Reset," which are downtempo chill songs that I think anyone could love.

Pat Benatar edition: 5. "All Fired Up" 4. "Promises in the Dark" 3. "Love Is A Battlefield" 2. "Hit Me With Your Best Shot" 1. "Outlaw Blues" What?

Football games have always weirded me out, because you get stuff like this - the ability to throw 10 touchdown passes or 6 interceptions in a single game. The mechanics of the games always seem skewed towards the exceptionally silly.

She's the loveliest stock photo that ever was.

Really? Huh. I've had mine on its side since I bought it. Saves space so very well.

Just checking: no one actually thinks he's a reasonable human being, right? That's all. If you do, I'm interested to hear why, because I've never seen or heard him do much anything but blather, shout, and be the dopiest, most simple-minded political commentator to come down the pike in ages, from either side of the political spectrum.

Tribe, Tribe, Tribe! How'd we get to 20 posts and no mention of A Tribe Called Quest? If you like a smooth jazz feel with your hip-hop, it doesn't get much better than Tribe. Q-Tip flows like liquid, and The Low-End Theory should be mandatory listening. I've had a burn for year and a half and I actually feel a bit dirty. Actually, I'd better finally buy it tomorrow and get the dirt off.

It's a tough call, of course. He's consistently one of the best. Personal favorites are "Are You That Somebody," the only Aaliyah song I ever liked, "Cry Me A River," and "Gossip Folks," which does incredible things with that stutter-stop synthy brass toot. Also, his work on Cee-Lo's "I'll Be Around" is one of his fullest, most layered pieces.

I'll tempt fate. I got my PS2 around Christmas of 2000, right around launch, and I've never had a single problem with it. And this thing has taken its fair share of plane rides shoved into a duffle bag, too.

Jim Carrey Top Money-Making Star of 2003
Edwin MacPhisto replied to MrRant's topic in Television & Film
Very few people say or think "Man, I've GOT to go see the new Orlando Bloom movie!" These guys are both in franchises bigger than their names. Put someone else in Jim Carrey's role and a lot fewer people care about Bruce Almighty. -
I had a few friends who made a giant Rubbermaid bin full of Sangria for a party, except that they used $5 box wine for the base and then everclear instead of the typical brandy. People saw fruit clumped around in there and thought, hey, this'll be great. Never since have I been privy to so much violent hurling.

Bush Seeks New Rights for Foreign Workers
Edwin MacPhisto replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in Current Events
Actually, I don't think it'll cost him many conservative votes at all. It seems that the majority of people who are into George Bush will stick with him even if he makes a handful of decisions against what they want. This in particular feels like a small sort of pander that even the staunchest of Republicans will let slide for the greater good. -
More importantly: why not Charizard? My only guess is potential ejaculation jokes.

This should be a chip shot for Miles Davis. Fun sidenote: I've never actually met a serious Johnny Cash fan.

In its entirety. This is everything I've had starting at around 1996 and never unloading a single album. Looking over my CD collection, I'm surprised at how modestly it reflects my tastes. The Twilight Singers, Blackberry Belle. It's as if the Afghan Whigs never broke up and got a whole lot more interesting along the way. Time to revise the best-of-2003 lists. Any fan of Gentlemen or 1965 can safely buy this sight unseen.

U.S. Airports Now Fingerprint Foreigners
Edwin MacPhisto replied to MrRant's topic in Current Events
Not a bad idea at all, though I don't really get the exceptions thing. It seems like a pretty wide gap to leave if the country's going to go with this policy.
