it's from the edited version of that Missy Elliot song "Work It"..."If you have a big -edit- let me search ya"...the edit is an elephant noise. Actually, there's no edited version--the elephant noise and backward parts are how it's supposed to be. Great song, partly because of that.

I mean, they're not that crazy. Just terrible and hugely retarded, and yeah, probably something a pissed-off 15 year-old would write. I certainly wouldn't institutionalize a kid because he wrote a shitty faux-Albee play with Guns n' Roses lyrics. I would give him an F, though, and show copies of his shitty play to my friends. I think what's always been most fascinating to me about shooting sprees is that they don't happen more often. As long as a person has no regard for his or her own life, he/she can get down to some bad stuff really quickly and easily in any number of public spaces.

I'm such a better 23-year-old English major than he was.

It's only, what, a minute? I normally don't mind little blips on albums like that. Me, I actually like "Wild Honey Pie."

Maybe. I think it's really short-sighted to blame anyone but the murderer at this stage of things. Let the reports be filed, let the investigations continue, let all the information come in, and then determine blame and change policy if appropriate. The first responders thought the initial shooting was an isolated incident, and might have had good reason to believe as much and determine that this was the safest course of action. I mean, like MiB said, you never really expect an indiscriminate slaughter.

Are we ever going to find out what Bill and Curtis were talking about in the premiere when they said "we had to give up a lot to get Jack out"? I'm guessing that was just planted so the writers would have an out for some crazy situation they hadn't thought of yet, but that they were able to brush it off when Audrey's show on ABC got canceled and they could bring in this storyline instead.

Hahaha, I just read that stuff on The Pit. That dude is retarded, no two ways about it. Strangely enough, one of my roommates is a VT alum from 5 years ago and was pretty apathetic about all this. I don't think he enjoyed school that much.

I really need a screenshot of the velociraptor thing, if that was real.

Who goes to a tattoo parlor and says "I want some Nightmare Before Christmas looking cartoon prostitutes on my leg"? Is this a British thing?

Your friends have even dumber tattoos than you do.

The best coverage of this was actually on the techsideline.com message board for VT football and basketball--there were a couple kids posting from classrooms, locked in with the lights out. As a UVA guy who knows plenty of Tech kids, I add to the chorus of "mad fucked up."

Sometimes I rebel against my excessive education and shake things up a bit, pronoun-wise. In terms of the actual content, I was just really amused by the histrionics of people like the max, flipping out and digitally scowling at those opportunistic Rutgers devil-whores because "the I-Man" (you've got to be fucking kidding me) said a dumbass thing and eventually got fired for it, just like every other dumbass in the history of corporate-sponsored anything. You can be pissed about his telethon getting shut down prematurely without embarrassingly invoking "mob tactics!" and claiming that the criticisms levied at Imus on account of his dumbassery are invalid because "they don't do this to rappers."

White people are still really scared of black people, aren't they.

Don't worry, Marv, you don't have to beat her to death; the Comcast and Scientific Atlanta HD DVRs have a ton more space than the SD ones do, and many markets charge the same price for both of them. I have one on a regular old TV in my bedroom because it's $12/month regardless of which unit I rent. The HD models are also newer and faster, and run the channel guide and on-demand software much more effectively.

Fat chicks, video game tattoos, and drunken racial slurs, all with an accent. luke-o, I find you strange and mystifying.

I think "You Braveheart, man," was my favorite bit. Two great weeks for Daryl.

Locke's dad will probably be the real Sawyer, Jack's dad will probably be Jacob, and Ben's dad will probably be a cyborg. This is Terminator 4.
-
I think max's use of "uppity" was the best part to all that. And those sick kids were asking for it.

All covers albums are generally mistakes.

"Separate Ways"? "Separate Ways"!

I'm just astonished that the writers managed to come up with yet another way for the main cast to not get any answers from someone who ostensibly has answers. "She's under my protection"? No one actually making an effort to get an explanation? God, retarded. It was nice to see flashbacks that were mostly explaining island stuff, but the beach characters have been stretched even further beyond believability. The writers really must not know the answers at this point--either that, or they've been told to drag this thing out for 7 seasons.

I thought it was lame. Blah blah blah, let's all hug, guess what, you're all being fooled again, blah blah. Seeing the dude from Wishmaster again was pretty funny, though, especially in his little mega-TV fortress.

I totally thought he was dead already. Oh well. He was a favorite of mine in 8th grade or so, but I got tired of the formula after that.

Marvin fucked a dude.
