For Canadians, CTV is going to be broadcasting the 2010 Olympic games. Just wondering who would be the broadcasters for the game, since it wont be Bob Cole and Harry Neale and also Jim Hughston and Greg Millen.

Mullet. He's pretty good, probably take his opinion and Scott Brunside(sp?) opinion over most of the Canadian hockey writers exluding Bob McKenzie and Pierre McGuire

No but you could have bench Thorton for an entire game, and put Draper instead and could have better results in effort that is.

I don't know, but whatever it is, I think you need it too. Awesome, thanks, Kot909 ... I'm actually glad someone else threw this back in my face, because I was thinking after the CDN loss how I was going to have to mock myself if no one else did. At least I was right when I said that America was going to be a bust. And the think that makes me laugh about redbaron's Thornton = soft avatar & title ... it perfectly ignores the fact that about half the team did nothing for Canada. Did Thornton's softness prevent the other guys from scoring goals in 3 of the last 4 games? I'm not going to argue that he played well (in fact, I actually agree that he had among the worst Olympics for ANYONE on the team) ... but at least get an avatar like max's Bruins one, that rotates thorugh the various suck-tacular players (or decent players having piss-poor seasons). My inept ability of good computer skills alludes me from doing so.

Well I'm gonna eat my words as Canada P0WNED Norway instead winning 11-5.

Anyone else realize that the whistle for Canada's "No Goal" was a bit quick. Not that it mattered anyways, the way they were playing they didn't deserve the win in OT or shootout.

Offensive wise, pretty damn good. Defence is a question mark though. I'm surprised that Chelios played so well in this tourney thoough.

I'm just going to say that Canada's womens curling team is going to get P0WNED! by Norway in the bronze medal game.

Agreed. He got too mishy mashy and halfed assed out there. Kinda like he's been coaching with Toronto (meaning Quinn).

Add Brendan Morrow (underrated) and Daniel Brierre to the list I'd be happy. The problem with Quenville in St. Louis is that he never really had a strong goalie that was either consistant or healthy.

All of them are better than Quinn. Hitchhock does have the same style as Quinn, but can motivate his team. You can tell which team between Toronto and Phili that has more motivation on the ice and desire. Quennville has nothing to work with in Colorado, but if he gets in some players he likes (solid two way players) he can gel a team together. Martin can bring a team together through the rough times. Fear Florida next year in the NHL, IMO. No one would buy into Sutter style. You'd be worked into Sutter style (see Brent in the Juniors) I've always liked Crawford as a coach. Who'd you puit as GM for Canada? I mentioned those two because they were on the top of my head.

Probably Sutter or Crawford, but you have Mr. Martin and Hitchhock on the bench also Quennville and Babcock. Have either Gainey or Burke lead Canada for like a GM position.

I'm disappointed in Foote and Pronger, but I was surprised by Blake out there. This team had no motivation out there.

McCabe improved every day at least. Bob McKenzie made a good point today. Gange, Heatley, Iginla, Bertuzzi, Nash and Thorton were basically invisible out there.

Okay from watching the game. Canada never fucking played hockey. An embarrasement. JK. Shut the fuck up. Joe Sakic was great out there, but Iginla and Heatley never picked up their slack. Face it, if Sakic scored when he ringed the iron in the third period, you'd be sucking on his dick because of it. But the fact is, Sakic was on the team for a reason to lead Canada. Did he fail at that, yes, but don't blame it on him soley for Canada not to medal. Lots of people here did choke, except for Brodeur, Nash, Lecavlier, Bowmeister, Draper, Doan and Smyth. Joe Thorton has probably been the worst out there for Canada, and hopefully never gets picked again. Completly soft when there's pressure (this was evident in 2002). This team had too many individual problems here.

Or maybe a coach who knows how to play an agressive style of hockey, and learns how to shoot, block, hit and pass. As I stated not just this year, but way back in 2002, Quinn is not the best coach to lead Canada. Simple as that.

They have probably one of the best offence in the tourney, and probably the fastest team in the tourney. No surprise there.
