    GNR Fans Pissed

Its a pretty ridiculous saying, but the fact its true. Almost every hair band had solid albums (Motley Crue; Shout At The Devil, Dr. Feelgood. Poison; Open Up And Say...Ahhh!. Bon Jovi; Slippery When Wet.) And yes, it came into a time, where Hair Metal was popping all over the place, and when GnR comes out, it was the anti hair band, that was still a hair band. (hence the Avril comparison) I'm not saying GnR was a second rate hair band, like Warrant, Winger, Cinderell, etc... GnR was better.

GNR fans need to realize, that they were just a hair band, that survived a bit longer than the rest.

When are GNR fans not pissed off? Besides GnR is like Avril Lavinge. Both pop bands, with that whole "anti" schtick.

    Paul Bostaph With Testament

Former SLAYER Drummer PAUL BOSTAPH Joins TESTAMENT - Feb. 15, 2004 Former SLAYER/SYSTEMATIC drummer Paul Bostaph has officially joined TESTAMENT, informed sources have told BLABBERMOUTH.NET. The band, whose most recent drummer, Jon Allen (SADUS), reportedly left the group over an "extremely fragile and urgent family situation" involving the health of his 11-year-old daughter, are currently rehearsing with Bostaph for their upcoming live shows in March, including scheduled appearances at Florida's Sun N' Steel Festival (March 6-7) and New Jersey's March Metal Meltdown VI (March 12-13). TESTAMENT are continuing work on the material for the follow-up to 1999's "The Gathering" and are reportedly planning on entering the studio in April/May to begin recording the album for a late 2004 release through Spitfire Records. The band will likely premier two brand-new songs during their festival appearances next month, the sources have told BLABBERMOUTH.NET. Bostaph is no stranger to the TESTAMENT camp, having played several live dates with the group in 1992 and appeared on the band's 1993 live EP, "Return To The Apocalyptic City" (Megaforce/Atlantic). He subsequently spent nearly a decade in SLAYER, with whom he recorded four full-length albums (1994's "Divine Intervention", 1996's "Undisputed Attitude", 1998's "Diabolus In Musica" and 2001's "God Hates Us All") before leaving the group (for the second and final time) in December 2001. An official press release issued by the SLAYER camp had listed a chronic elbow injury as the reason for Bostaph's departure — an account later disputed by Bostaph, who almost immediately went on to join San Francisco Bay Area metallers SYSTEMATIC. "I didn't leave SLAYER because of an arm problem, and I certainly didn't leave SLAYER to join SYSTEMATIC," Paul told the San Francisco-based Internet music magazine Perfect Pitch Online last year. "I was ready to go. It was nothing personal towards anybody in the band, it was just my time to leave. Musically, I wanted to do something else. And in terms of the problem I had with my arm, I re-aggravated an old softball injury by lifting up a laptop at the airport. That happened right at the beginning of the tour, and it never had time to heal. But even at that point, I was considering moving on from the band. "SLAYER's a great band, and I had a lot of fun playing with them, but I have to feel like I'm taking chances musically. "The first time I left SLAYER, I did [a project called] THE TRUTH ABOUT SEAFOOD. Sure, it never got signed, but I enjoyed it a lot. "SLAYER took my drumming to a new level, but there are also other levels of drumming that I haven't even touched yet. I want to become a more eclectic drummer." Bostaph officially left SYSTEMATIC last October, with the rest of the band attributing his departure in part to Paul's slower-than-anticipated progress following a knee surgery last fall. He has since been replaced in that band by his predecessor, Shaun Bannon.

    Is disk defrag bullshit?

Defragmentation only allows to move files, and gets rid of any files that are not neccesary. It does not make your computer any faster, just easier acess to get the files you need

    Oh Hell yeah

I'll take a prime example of this, and the metal heads of the likes of Corey, AoO, Thumbtack, and well others will again question my metalheadness Remember seeing Motorhead, Dio, and Maiden last year, I was pissed that Dio was not the opening act. After Motorhead left the stage with my ears hurting more than ever, Dio came to the stage, and it didn't help that he's 5' and a tall idiot infront of me, (which later passed out before Maiden hit the stage) I thought it was gonna suck. Truth be Told, Dio was fuckin amazing. Simply amazing, i' mean not to Iron Maiden extent, but I thought Dio was better than Motorhead *what Corey will say after reading this post (Corey: Thall shall give you King of Power Metal status and give to Metal Maniac )

MTV: JERRY CANTRELL To Jam With ALICE IN CHAINS Bandmates - Feb. 10, 2004 Since moving from Seattle to Los Angeles eight months ago, former ALICE IN CHAINS guitarist Jerry Cantrell has re-established lines of communication with former CHAINS bassist Mike Inez and drummer Sean Kinney, and plans to jam with them later this month, according to MTV.com. "We don't have any expectations," he stressed. "We're gonna get in a room, have a little fun and see what goes down. Anything's possible." Inez and Kinney performed on Cantrell's 1998 solo album, "Boggy Depot", but haven't played with him since ALICE disbanded. "I was kinda waiting to see if the ALICE thing would ever materialize again," Jerry said. "But I really miss playing with those guys." Cantrell told MTV.com that his top priority is writing new material and figuring out what to do with the tunes he wrote last year, which he said are unlike anything he's previously recorded. "It's really its own thing," he said. "I'm not sure which direction I'm gonna go with them, but the music's great. It's definitely a next chapter, which is satisfying." Cantrell also spoke about "Ashes to Ashes", a track he recorded last November with DAMAGEPLAN, the band consisting of former PANTERA guitarist Dimebag Darrell and drummer Vinnie Paul. The song, submitted for the "Punisher" film soundtrack, features Cantrell on vocals alongside DAMAGEPLAN singer Patrick Lachman (ex-HALFORD guitarist). "It happened around Thanksgiving," he recalled. "I went hunting with my dad and brother, and we bagged a deer and then headed down to Dallas. I always give Darrell some of my kill, and we ended up hanging out. He had a tune he wanted me to check out, and it was great. So he said, 'We don't have any vocals on this. Why don't you try to throw something down?' I was really tired 'cause it was like 6 a.m., but he was really persistent. So I threw something down and it became this great track that sounds like PANTERA crossed with ALICE IN CHAINS." In other news, Cantrell entered the studio two weeks ago with veteran rockers HEART to record a solo for "Fallen Ones", scheduled to appear on the group's upcoming album. He also recorded several guitar riffs for FILTER frontman Richard Patrick that may end up on the next FILTER album. Cantrell is currently without a record deal, having severed his ties with the Roadrunner label after the 2002 release of his sophomore solo effort, "Degradation Trip". SLAYER Set For OZZFEST 2004? - Feb. 10, 2004 SLAYER are strongly rumored to be close to landing a slot on the main stage at this year's Ozzfest, informed sources have told BLABBERMOUTH.NET. As previously reported, OZZY OSBOURNE will once again be headlining the annual traveling festival while SLIPKNOT and HATEBREED are said to be "all but confirmed" to co-headline the festival's second stage. Other bands rumored to be in the running for a slot at this year's Ozzfest include JUDAS PRIEST, DAMAGEPLAN and SUPERJOINT RITUAL. An official announcement regarding the exact lineup for the festival is expected to be made during the coming weeks. credit: Blabbermouth.net All I can say is this...

    Liberals falling in the polls.

What the hell? It was obviously sarcastic, since he's pretty liberal himself. He was making fun of an exaggerated stereotype, not being a bigot. When did you get so PC? So let me ask; was he "banned" for dropping the N-bomb, or for making fun of the stereotype that conservatives are racist? I don't think you have a case really for either one, but then again I'm not a mod. To whoever is complaining about social liberalism, I made a post in another thread about Conrad Black selling the only socially conservative paper we have in Canada to some hippie guy, which pissed off the few social conservatives we have left. Ontario was run under communism for awhile (a.k.a. the NDP). Indeed, and put in an 11 Billion defecit in one year.

    Liberals falling in the polls.

Until next election, we can vote. When the elections are finished, it can be a majority party (a party with 151 or more seats in the house of commons) or a minority party (a party less than 151 seats, but enough seats to be in control of the party) If the Liberals were under a minority government right now, the other parties can kick the party out of power (see Joe Clark in 1979 witht the PC Party) and I'm not quite sure of this but will the opposition be in power? Anyways, the federal party has the New Democratic Party (left wing) Liberals (more of a central party) Progressive Conservative (right wing) Canadian Alliance (really right wing) and Bloc de Quebecquos (separtists)
