How about getting Modry to play hockey. That'll be a big step in the right direction.

Why is Stairway considered to be the best guitar solo ever? Its not even Page best solo in the band.

I was gonna say, all this talk of sex ed in grade school is outside my experience. The only time I ever had a sex ed class was in 8th grade. Apparently they felt like waiting until after puberty had struck to inform you about it. Also, you guys had foreign language classes before high school? Really? Man my schools sucked. In Canada, we learned French(Quebecois) in grade 4.

I am now changing my prediction. Pittsburgh in four and averaging 42 shots a game.

Dave Nonis is available. He'll draft some Swedes and fail miserably.

WTF? Only 24 plays. I must have been hurt or something, or else.

So about this Global Warming issue...

I knew it wasn't your post. I can tell by the typing.

I don't remember any sex-ed teachings in school at all. I learned via Playboy before I found the internet. Actually I do remember being one of the first students to have Internet, and also Cable Internet. I remember in Grade 1, during show and tell a girl in my class, Kim I believe said she had something so show and just pissed herself all over the carpet. She had a skirt on too, and it went straight down like a waterfall. Funny as hell. Also in French class my teacher decided to hook up the TV and during class we would watch hockey games in French. This usually happened on a Monday class for some reason.

Shame Ray Emery wont be there. That'll make some interesting TV. Maybe Ottawa should get Maurice and Maurice could make Ottawa into the playoffs again. I can just see the expression on Bob McCowen if this actually happen (and his reply also)

Philadelphia vs Pittsburgh. 2000 was the last time these two teams played in the playoffs, and I believe it is the first time these two face in the Conference Finals. I really hope this series goes all out. Scoring, hitting, making saves. Both teams have the talent and calibur to show off all the assets that I mentioned and with the right marketing help from NBC, Hockey can somewhat be meaningful in the USA. You have the good guys in Pittsburgh with Crosby, Malkin, Staal, Fleury, Letang and Hossa. The new version of the NHL packaged right here led by a great hockey ambassador in Mario Lemeiux against the bad guys of the Flyers. The Broad Street Bullies are back, but equipped with speed and skill. Daniel Briere leads the new version of the Flyers along with Mike Richards, R.J. Umberger, Kimmo Timmonen, Jason Smith and a rejuvenated Martin Biron. I didn't think these two teams would meet each other in the playoffs, but this could be the best series so far. How Phili will win. Their powerplay will carry them far as well as their strength. Biron is playing exceptionally well to carry the team and Phili has a pretty solid offence with Briere, Richards and . They will need some more production from the defence to make this series go the distance. Key players are Steve Downie and Martin Biron. How Pittsburgh will win. Roll all four lines. They have the talent and skill to get production off of every line and almost every player. The addition of Hossa made Pittsburgh that much deeper of a team. Phili has a weakness against speed which showed against Montreal, but unlike the Habs, Pittsburgh offence is ten times stronger than Montreal. Biron needs to be sharp, otherwise this could be a sweep. Key players are Jordan Staal and Ryan Malone. Phili in seven as Biron is going to keep this real close for Phili to win almost every game.

Are prices at the JLA expensive? Also how many Canadians are attending games in Detroit? I'm not looking for any actual statistics, but I know when I go to Buffalo, there are a good chunk of Canadians in the stands.

I'm surprised John Tortarella is not fired yet. Anyways since the Leafs are going into a time warp, maybe they should bring back Rick Vaive.
-
But you figure, Detroit is "HOCKEYTOWN USA!"
-
What is disturbing is that they fumbled the ball five times, and we only got it twice. I mean, my CB was involved in 90 plays.

My elementary school went from Kindergarten to grade eight, and a majority of years they were a split class. I remember in grade two all the classmates mocked at me for wearing a Montreal sweater. Low and behold, Montreal won the cup that year. I was on the Chess team, and won city tournaments, but always failing at either regional or province wide tournaments. I also cost my school the championship in soccer by not controlling the ball and letting the ball roll into the net. (Thankfully there is no youtube video...yet) Like Czech, I also was involved with Geography and maps. It wasn't just countries and cities, but I mean I could talk about certain seas, bays, forests, parks, monuments.

And out of that four, Detroit is having trouble with their fanbase.

More indepth review. Dallas vs Detroit. The Skinny: Lets face it, the winner of this series is going to win the cup. There are no two ways about it. Detroit came off a very, albiet sometimes shaky series against Colorado. This long rest between series might kill some momentum from Detroit, but I don't think so. This is the first test that Detroit has to deal with that has excellent goaltending and playoff calibur defence. Johan Franzen is going to continue his playoff tear and carry much of the offence shoulders. Dallas has been facing tough opponents so far in these playoff series. Knocking off Anaheim in five and San Jose in six sums up pretty much they are the real deal. Turco doesn't have to be stellar because of the defence infront of him, but needs to make two or three key saves. How does Dallas win the series: Their defence. Their defence is their offense. Zubov, Robidas and co. can make a difference in the series. They pass the puck well and forcheck efficiently. Steve Ott is going to be a pest for Franzen and Brendan Morrow is playing some of his best hockey right now. Player to watch for is Jere Leithenen. How does Detroit win the series: Not letting Osgood doing all the work. Detroit has the firepower to take a 2-0 lead after 20 minutes, but they seem to play ultra conservative and reel the opposition back in. Put some pressure on the Dallas players instead of having Osgood taking care of business. Player to watch: Pavel Datsyuk. Final thought: Dallas defence is the main difference, and is going to be the deciding factor for one of these games. Dallas in seven. I'll do Phili/Pittsburgh tomorrow.

Dallas in seven Phili in six.

I never noticed it, but is Nabokov fat or does his chest protector stick out way too much?

Iginla's facial hair in 2004 was pitiful.

Phil Hartman Stephen Root Rodney Dangerfield Eddie Izzard George Carlin

As long as Joe Thorton and Steve Downie doesn't win a cup, I'm happy.

On paper? Yes. In practise? Hell no. There was no reason for the Bruins to take it to 7, and they did. There was no reason for the Flyers to win this series, and they did. I think experience is the missing ingredient here. Then again, I said the same thing would prevent Washington from getting into the playoffs..... If Ryder had been dressed, it would have been a farewell skate, anyway. I can't find a picture of South Park's Mr. Slave, but: Jesus Christ! No way, after last season, Ryder is staying in Montreal, and for a bargin price too.
