No. If Vancouver couldn't get behind an NBA team, I don't think there is any other Canadian city that would want one. There is no way basketball would survive in Montreal and the rest of the major Canadian cities wont show much more interest as well. What would happen if Doug Flutie wasn't run out of town in Chicago during his first NFL stint? -

In ten years do you think the NHL will pass the NBA in terms of popularity and interest? -
I think I should change Montreal's offense to an A+

King I have to agree with you on the hockey analysist. If there is like an insider or intermission person to be added it would be Bob Mackenzie. But pretty much I agree with you, except maybe Chris Cuthbert instead of Jim Hughston. -
Is Cliff Fletcher going to be alive through the rest of the season?

Yes there should be, but I can't give a number because I'm out of the loop on team salaries. Maybe Al can give a better answer on this. What championship trophy has the most prestige behind it? -
Montreal Canadiens: Offense: A. I'm not expecting Montreal being one of the top teams in goals for (7th) but the team is getting scoring from a rejuvinated Alexi Kovalev, Tomas Plekanec, Chris Higgins as their top scorers while getting contribution from their defence from Markov, Streit and Hamrlik. The young guys like the Kostistyn brothers, Guillame Latendresse (best name in hockey) are also playing very well too. Oh, and when lots of reports saying Montreal wasn't going to score much without Sheldon Souray on the point and the powerplay was going to flounder...well so far they are wrong. 2nd in the league on the PP. Defence: B. This is a little skewed because Montreal defence sums up pretty easily. They let a lot of shots on net, not good quality shots, but shots in general. The defence is producing points, but the PK is horrible. Something that Montreal was good last year. And don't let the goals against fool anyone, lots of Montreals goals allowed this year were weak. Besides who'd thought bringing in Brisebois would help the defence? Goaltending: B-. At the beginning of the season Huet wasn't playing well and Price was. Huet couldn't get into a rhythm when he was playing two or three games straight then get shelved for two. His injury in the early part of the season saw Price action. He played well, but he could have played better. Price wasn't aggressive and stayed too far back into the net giving the opposition a bigger target to shoot at. Not to mention Montreal lost some key points by some questionable goaltending throughout the season, but after a sluggish game one night, they come back out with an all-star performance the next. Coaching: A. Guy doesn't have any cancers on the team and has pretty much everyone on the same page (except Ryder who is MIA). He has more confidence behind the bench and has more passion too. Just needs to work on the PK and Faceoffs and the team can fight Ottawa for first in the Northeast. Overall: B+. This team is on the verge of becoming one of the elite teams next year, but just needs some tinkering. Whether its adding a player or just improving some weak areas. Solid play throughout everyone certainly make everyone think twice about this team. (except for other Habs fans).

Oh c'mon. He was turning the team around. Three wins in four games! I wonder what the headline at the Sun would read.

Ya it would be when Roger Waters was one of your acts.

You completly missed the whole point of the question. -
Exactly. If you don't want your experience to be spoiled don't read the thread or certain areas that would contain spoilers.

I've always wondered about getting a basketball game, but I always found the controlls to be clunky compaired to most sport games. Like I have to do so much just to get a basket.

Eastern Promises is a solid f'n movie, but to be nominated I don't know. I wouldn't be surprised if it did make the list, but 07 had a shitload of good to excellent movies. Also I'm going to throw in and say Will Smith will get nominated for I Am Legend.

So who do you think on your team is going to be traded at the deadline, and who do you hope in return to help bolster your lineup. For Montreal, Ryder is definitly on the blocks. Only seven goals for a two time 30 goal scorer. What Montreal needs is a strong second line center that can win faceoffs. I know its a stretch to find one of these players, but that is what Montreal needs.

Usually I'd judge them in this order: 1.) Number of championships in a specific era. 2.) W/L Record. 3.) Point differential. 4.) Strength of Season There's nothing going to change my opinion which team had the best dynasty in any sport. The 1970's Montreal Canadiens were the best dynasty in any sporting era. Four Stanley Cups in four years and with a record of 229-46-45 (503 points) an .837 winning percentage and scoring 1420 goals and giving up 732 goals, this team was strong. It doesn't help that this team has a plethora of Hall of Famers on here too. The 1976-77 Montreal Canadiens are the best team in Hockey History dominating the league and capping that off with a Stanley Cup. Question: As we all know, Tiger Woods pretty much rose golf's popularity ten fold in the last decade, but is the market for golf been oversaturated? -
You can only be nominated once in the same category.

You should try listening to their entire catalogue before you dismiss it. Other than Appetite for Destruction which is a solid album through and through, the rest is pretty much forgetable except for November Rain. Use Your Illusion should have been one disc instead of two seperate CD's. Besides, Knocking On Heaven's Door is one of the worst covers ever to be released.
