Why would they be embarassed? It's not like he called a press conference specifically on that, he just said it during his speech today in Georgia (I think... not sure where he was). He was probably even asked a question about it. -
Hahaha, I saw that.

Thus is the current conundrum we have. It's what we've been trying to deal with for however many years now, and it's not likely to stop for a long time. I think the only way we can achieve neutrality is to put on some farcical face that we're playing "tough" on Israel, but that's just me. -

Okay. They're going to say the same "PALESTINE SHOULD DIE AND ISRAEL IS THE MIDDLE EAST'S HAVEN OF DEMOCRACY" tripe that you did. You linked to an Israeli propoganda site, of course they're going to have good things to say about their own side. In reality, both sides are wrong and neither side is going to budge before the other one does. Why? Because neither side believes that the other one will follow through. THIS is why we need a neutral country to go in and mediate the conflict; that's the ONLY hope we have of resolving it. -

If you don't wish to compromise with Palestine, then you obviously don't actually want peace in the Middle East. -

Gephardt comparing Dean to Gingrich is hilariously desperate; they even set up a website based around five quotes (I believe) that Dean said back in 1995 about Medicare reform. In other news, Dean raised 10 million dollars more than any other candidate this quarter. I'm so passionate about this subject that I double posted for emphasis. -

Please. Even if Palestine cuts all ties to state sponsored terrorism -- legitimately, even -- there will still be some nutcase who will suicide bomb some market in Israel and the Israelis will take back anything they were trying to do. There is such a thing as neutrality, and we haven't achieved it. Unless we do, there will be no peace. -
They knew, that's why they hired him. You don't think they hired him because they thought he'd be a good boy do you? They were probably just hoping he didn't go too far. Of course they knew. It was a ratings ploy from the start; it's not as if they could've given a blind eye to the entire thing and stick their fingers in their ears when groups like the NAACP and FAIR blasted ESPN for their hiring of Limbaugh. But, of course, Rush wasn't going to let the season go by without this sort of thign happening, and with their increased ratings due to Rush, people were actually watching when it happened. Good riddance.

Regardless of whatever propoganda you may see about the Israel-Palestine situation, one thing is clear: for there to be any semblance of peace, both sides need to give up their egos and compromise. Israel needs to stop with the settlements and oppression, and Palestine obviously needs to stop state supported terrorism and cut ties with Arafat. Unless those two things happen -- and unless we actually act completely neutral in any potential peace talks -- there will never be peace in the Middle East. -
In reality, ESPN should've known what they were getting into when they hired Limbaugh. If you think he's just randomly being scapegoated and called a racist unfairly, perhaps you should listen to his radio show once in a while. Hint: it's not just a label.

McNabb: Highly hyped Eagles #1 pick. Loads of talent. Brady: No hype 6th round pick. No hype because marginal talent. Which is the great story and which is "holy shit, we knew that guy was gonna be awesome!!" McNabb has carried the Philly offense on his back for years now, even IF they had a great defense. You can't win with one facet of the ball clicking and the other floundering, Baltimore Ravens aside (and they still had Jam Lewis). The race issue is asinine, case-in-point Kordell Stewart.
