Eh. I'd have to agree with Mike for the most part; I have travelled to France, and most of the folks there are willing -- nay, begging -- to rip off any potential American. They seem to hold an irrational grudge, too. However, that doesn't characterize all of the citizens, and I've met quite a few very gracious and nice Frenchmen (and women). It's tasteless to laugh at their death counts because I'm sure there were also some very nice, gracious, and well bathed people who died in this heatwave. Stupidity, arrogance, and incorrigability are not values confined to France.

I have stated that it is unbelievably unlikely that it was random and, to me, seems borderline irrational to assume so. My view is this: It, to me, seems unfathomable that random acts could possibly lead to a world as orderly as ours. I'm just playing the ol' Devil's advocate here. It's the same reason why I hate arguing about religion; neither side can prove their sides with actual fact, so what's the point in arguing about it? A certain amount of faith is ALWAYS necessary, and therefore, there's no point in arguing.

I'm not defending their methods, haha. I'm simply stating that the above mentioned poster was incorrect in his assertation. I think they're all idiots.

Mike, I agree with you, and I believe in God. But, here's where you're flawed in that assesment: You absolutely cannot prove that it wasn't random, and you can't prove that it's not replicable.

And therefore, why even try to take the high ground, eh?

I agree, but why can't we help expedite that process by funneling some money into such programs? The sooner we make this technology economically feasible, the sooner we can start phasing gasoline engines off of our roads.

Why do you assume, Marney, that we *want* to rely on oil for two and a half more centuries? Why not put that vast R&D money into renewable resources to almost completely rid ourselves of the black crack and help get rid of pollution in the process? EDIT: Added "help" in front of "get rid of polution", because renewable energy isn't the only solution.

Kahran: Faulk was out. Thus, they passed a ton.

Zero getting the start is good. The guy is absolutely fucking RIPPED after the offseason, and he's looked incredible in camp. However, he hasn't gotten much game time due to a fluke injury (guy stepped on his foot and rolled it over two days in a row), but he should be back and healthy for the regular season. Zero also tends to rape the Ratbirds, so it will be fun to watch. Mark Breuner being benched is a great thing for the team. He provides absolutely nothing in the passing game. Deshea getting more time could be good, but he got whipped a few times last year. We'll see, but he's a better cover corner than Dewayne...

Why not shoot him somewhere like the leg, where it won't kill the guy? That will take him down and give him more time to investigate... as opposed to just flat out killing the guy.
