AFC Divisional: Pats and Colts
Dr. Tyler; Captain America replied to JangoFett4Hire's topic in Sports
Are you KIDDING? The Pats are gonna KILL the Steelers! Phil Simms and Shannon Sharpe said it! -
The Steelers suck! Predicted AFCC Score: Patriots 49 Steelers 3 AT HALFTIME.

GET IN THE CHAT!!!
-
ok!

NO YOU ARE. In all seriousness, it's going to be a pretty good game in all likelyhood. I'm curious to see if the Patriots will really commit to the run, or whether Pittsburgh will be able to stop it early and knock the running game out of the equation. Common wisdom says that if that's the case, Pittsburgh's gonna be hoisting a trophy at the end of the day and on a plane to Jacksonville.
-
And you're down by 10.
-
They get ahead pretty often, too. It isn't very encouraging when you're running for 2ish ypc.
-
Did you think about the reason why people don't carry the ball very often against the Steelers?
-
Wow. Jon Vilma had 8 tackles and 9 assists. Killer game.
-
No, he certainly doesn't. That's actually one of my favorite sites; he's had a history of writing about Cowher's playoff failures.

Great analysis of the game from a Steelers' fan's perspective

He's a Patsies fan.

It was a little more than a half. Bettis was in during the third quarter.

"In there for a bit" is a lot different than "healthy" Staley played for the first half and then went down. Granted, that was enough to blow out the Pats, but hurt his hamstring in that game and essentially for the rest of the year after Bruschi's cheap shots. He barely played for the last half of the season after that first half. Haggans was down (freak injury, I believe, but he didn't play against the Pats) and Bell was out. Bell's been gone basically the entire year, with the exception being some spot work filling in for Foote about midway through the season before he hurt his groin again. He's explosive when he gets a chance to play, however. They've got a lot of players that are now healthier than they've been all year. I'm gonna break this game down in a few hours, and honestly, I'm positive that teams will underestimate them like you guys are after that piss poor game.
-
No, they didn't. Haggans, Bell, and Staley were all hurt.
-
It's your bitterness, don't worry. They played an absolutely dogshit game and still eked it out. They'll be better off for it. Nobody was injured, luckily.
-
Which Pennington didn't do...
-
Thank you, Doug Brien!
-
You could say that about the Steelers too, though. Without a question, they were going to run up the middle every first down.
-
Oh, I know.

*SIGH OF RELIEF*
-
Jeff Reed, I will be on the first plane to Pittsburgh if you miss this. I'm warning you.
-
Thank God.
-
Thank God for Paul Hackett.

I think it's obvious what I think.
