The Thank GOD the election is over thread
Dr. Tyler; Captain America replied to a topic in Current Events
Uh, okay. You missed my point, but as you so often do, I'll leave it at that. -
But as you said, it won't happen. I don't see how this is anything more than an indifferent occasion.

The man is a terrible human being, but I don't see how his death will help the situation in the Middle East.

Bad week for the Edwards family. -
The Thank GOD the election is over thread

It's easy to get >50% when there is no 3rd party challenger to speak of. -
Ain't gonna happen. Dean's not getting any younger, and I doubt he wants to put his family through that again. His best place, as I said before, is DNC chief.

Increasingly worse, but you're completely blowing this victory out of proportion. Historically, it's a pathetic win for an incumbent to only get 51% -- 3% better than the challenger -- and 280 electoral votes. -
I can't take this anymore
Dr. Tyler; Captain America replied to kkktookmybabyaway's topic in Current Events
Bush not reaching 300 was no surprise to anyone. -
Sure seemed to work though, didn't it? Given that they, y'know, widened their lead in both houses and managed to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat in the Presidential one.
-
Well, this was fun.

Not too ironic that Kerry voters split their ticket and voted Specter in many cases. I wouldn't say that Toomey would've carried PA, the same way that Salazar didn't help the Dems carry CO. It might've been possible, but I doubt it.

I dunno.

I wish P. Diddy was serious with this "Vote or Die" shit. He seriously needed to run around the country on his sleigh (ala Santa Claus) and shove a Glock up every little nancy boy fucktard teenager who dares to bitch about college tuition or the prospect of the draft or whatever the fuck else these twits are complaining about and fails to vote.

It's not something you'd rely on, but when you look at this situation, you have to ask yourself what Terry McAwful could do that Dean couldn't. Which is precisely nothing. Dean brings far more to the table than McAwful, no matter what you think of the guy. If they can even raise the slobbering idiots' percentage by 10%, Kerry wins this election. Neither side gives a damn about the youth as of right now, and it shows; as Rob said earlier, why would they give enough of a damn to vote if they don't think their issues are even being discussed? They may be dead wrong by not voting and preparing to work at McDonalds for the rest of their lives, but perhaps you need to beat the fuck out of them for a few straight days and convince them that it's in their best interests to like, y'know, pretend they're an important voting block. They certainly have the numbers.

The OaO Election Day (Month?) Thread
Dr. Tyler; Captain America replied to a topic in Current Events
It was pretty significant and I'm still pretty surly as a result. -
It doesn't matter how electable a person is in terms of being a DNC chairperson. Dean would do well to try and get the slovenly, slobbering Jimmy idiot teenagers out to vote, which is something Kerry obviously failed miserably at.

Done and done. Although, I may add an exclaimation point or three. -

Speculation, as was my "yes" comment. At least Dean had a fucking spine. -

All Kerry had to do was have a spine. That's all he had to do. Discount that the young people could've swung the election if they had voted, because it would've been all over if Kerry could've convinced people that he wasn't a lily-livered twatrock. -

I deserve my username changed for not having criticized Kerry enough. Because he was an utterly horrible choice. -

Making me wait? You motherfuckers. -
Abortion's solution is simple. Treat the issue like a real issue and not a fucking birthright. Why are most Democrats not in favor of mandatory counseling and a 3 day wait period? It's fucking logical and it blunts the effect of having PRO CHOICE, BEWARE!!!! on your resume.

Naw, because I'm upholding my bet with KKK and he's gonna change it. Conservative mods, have fun with my account. I'm gonna keep posting, so don't worry about that, but I need about a month of hilarious humiliation to get over this abomination. My party is so fucking stupid and my generation is even worse.
