Dean for DNC chair. Other than that, don't run a candidate in 2008 because we're going to fucking lose that one, too. Run Obama in '12 and hope America is ready to vote for blacky. And don't try to appeal to the young people, by any means!

I'm kinda drunk, but I think I just saw Kerry pullin gclolser in Ohio. So hopoefully that trend keeps up. Thisis pretty close, I think a lot of these statees were already called in 2000. -
The OAO TSM Election 2004 Thread

Already voted for the evil lurch via absentee ballot. -
Yeah, I came in really late after getting lost in the middle of DC. That wasn't too much fun. I think I did see you, although it was likely as you were leaving. Haha. Ah well. Perhaps next time.

I was the doofus wearing a suit with the blonde attached to my hip. I walked in around 10:15, so it doesn't surprise me that I didn't really talk to you, probably. The good discussion got started around 11:00, though, so it's a shame you left before it really got going. But yeah, Metro does suck. I found that out going to the 9:30 Club a few years ago.

When were you there? I probably talked to you and didn't even know it was you. We need a TSM secret handshake or something.

Who knows, though, if Dillon would've done any better? Pittsburgh has killed Dillon in the past when he played for Cincinatti. And let's not forget that Pittsburgh lost their top CB and the center of their defense last week; both teams have had their injuries.
-
I can already hear the whining. "TY LAW HURT HIMSELF! DILLON IS OUT!" STFU. We lost our best defender last week, the heart and soul of our defense, and we're down to a bunch of rooks in our secondary, too. It ain't over yet by any means, but don't be making excuses if Pittsburgh ends up on top of this one. And as I say that, the Pats score. Ugh.

Whoops! Iraqi explosives disappear under our guard
Dr. Tyler; Captain America replied to Rob E Dangerously's topic in Current Events
Funny, none of those were American casualties. -
I actually thought Andy kicked ass on this task.
-
Marney's like, always in political chats with random TSM political correspondents (haha).
-
Mike, the team has been imploded for years now. A year or two more of Paterno, allowing the man to go out with dignity, can't hurt them more than they've already been hurt.

Electoral Vote Predictor 2004.
Dr. Tyler; Captain America replied to CBright7831's topic in Current Events
I don't know if it was intentionally rigged, but they certainly missampled it. -
Oy. I don't know. I have all the respect in the world for the man, but the school has just been sucking as of late, and you can't help but think that it's at the very least partially his fault. You have to give the man the respect he deserves, though, and let him retire on his own terms and with dignity.

Electoral Vote Predictor 2004.
Dr. Tyler; Captain America replied to CBright7831's topic in Current Events
Indeed it is. A pollster with an agenda can easily manufacture a poll (*cough* Hawaii) that makes a state look far closer than it actually is by just altering the sampling. -
I've got it. But I don't know you.

Electoral Vote Predictor 2004.
Dr. Tyler; Captain America replied to CBright7831's topic in Current Events
Hahahaha, and CBS doesn't have a liberal bias, either. Regardless, averages are useless as well. So, call polling useless, but don't pretend that averages are somehow more accurate than everything else. -
Electoral Vote Predictor 2004.
Dr. Tyler; Captain America replied to CBright7831's topic in Current Events
It'd probably make me a little bit more comfortable about their averages if they stated their methodology. Maybe they do, but I haven't really searched through the site very thoroughly. I just pop in every once in a while and see how much they have Bush up by. -
Electoral Vote Predictor 2004.
Dr. Tyler; Captain America replied to CBright7831's topic in Current Events
Out of curiosity, does it say they don't use SV and other Republican commissioned polls on their site? If so, where? I know they used a Rocky Mountain/SV poll for Colorado at one point, but they might not use it for nationals; where does the site talk about that? -
Swing and a miss. Can't hit 'em all out of the park though.
