And likewise, the right isn't being very forgiving, either. And the "pants and socks" bullshit was invented by Saxby Chambliss. Stop buying into sensationalism. -

The NCAA Football 2005 Dynasty Thread
Dr. Tyler; Captain America replied to MrRant's topic in Video Games
Eh, maybe, but it adds difficulty, too. I'd rather it be hard than easy, considering the ease of the game often makes me tire of it quicker. I really do have a tough time with this game (my current 27-0 trouncing of #1 Oklahoma notwithstanding) and I like that; it makes the games more tense and stuff when the balls get batted down and you have to pull a good throw out of your hat on 4th down. -

I actually kinda enjoy the difficulty of passing and the tipped balls. College players aren't supposed to be as good as pros. -

Actually, I couldn't care less about you. You're not even vaguely relevant to most topics on this board. I just find it cute that you seem to follow me around and post sarcastic remarks when you're not making cutesy, nancy boy references to posts I made about a year ago in threads I don't care enough to post in. You're like a poor, poor man's KKK; no one would confuse you two, though, because he actually happens to be funny some of the time. You're just sad and pathetic. But really, whatever floats your boat, bud. -

Look out, everybody! Vyce has a strangely homosexual obsession with me! -
This is continued from this thread. For those keeping track, "speak and talk about matters" means "post at TSM". No need to act all flowery, Popick; everyone already knows that you think you're worth a million bucks. Just look at your sig. And by the way, who, exactly, are those people? Name names. Don't be polite. Here's where you're completely off base; economics isn't a science, you moron. You'd think that an economist would be one of the first to admit that. For every theory that you use to back up your posts, there's another, opposing theory that "refutes" it (not saying every one of your theories is wrong, nor am I saying every one of the counter-theories are right). That's the nature of economics or any social science, for that matter; while there are many mathematical formulas and instances by which economics seems like a mathematical certainty, economics doesn't occur in a vaccum. There are millions and millions of variables that economics can't account for, and for all the Laffer curves you throw at us, it doesn't tell us a damned thing when two planes fly into our critical infrastructure. For Christ's sake, learn this and put on a fucking humble hat every once in a while. Pot, meet kettle. Obviously. Cite one example. I've never seen you deviate from a textbook. NEVER. Starting off every other post with "WELL, I'M AN ECONOMIST, AND..." doesn't exactly jive with that "I'm no expert..." rap. You act like a pompous jackass half the time because you happen to work for the Justice Department. This is my entire point. Your credentials mean dick. Stop stating them. We know you're an economist. We still don't care. You're posting on a wrestling messageboard and you expect people to fellate you because you happen to have a Bachelor's degree in economics. It's just not going to happen. Move the fuck on.

If it were up to me, I'd lock this thread and ban you all.

Hahaha, i'm playing my first game in which Home Field Advantage really matters (against Notre Dame, and I'm ranked #25 now after going 8-1), and I think it's awesome. -

My dynasty is the Pittsburgh Panthers (no surprise), which is a **** prestige school. So far... Game One: 35-3 win over SFU. Was getting used to the gameplay style and overall feeling out my team, and I discovered that while my QB sucks balls and my secondary is about as useful as a leaky garden hose, my RB is serviceable and my LDE is a stud. I started out ranked like, 48th and left in the mid 30's. Game Two: 56-0 win over Ohio University. This was a full out drubbing after my RB decided he wanted to wreck some shit and my WR had a ridiculous outing. I actually sent in the backups for the first time, and after it became about 21-0, my crowd ruined their shit and their option went to shreds. Game Three: I lost a heartbreaker to #10 Nebraska, 21-14. I drove down into the red zone with 11 seconds left and a chance to tie the game... the crowd had been rocking the whole game, and Lee Corso thought I had no chance to evenstay in the game. My QB goes back to pass, and on 4th down, gets the ball knocked away and we lose. My first loss in a long, long time in a football game. I love this game so far. Different feel from Madden, but in a good way. -

That's because he repeats the same tripe every time (quick, someone do a search on how many times he's said "Laffer Curve") and backs it up with the same "NO, TRUST ME, I'M AN ECONOMIST!!!!" Thanks, bud! We can read books just fine ourselves! It's the same as if I were a politician and I spouted off "NO, TRUST ME, I'M A POLITICIAN... I UNDERSTAND ELECTORAL POLITICS!!!" It's crass and self-important garbage. No one gives a shit if you're Milton Friedman or fucking Andy Kaufman; we're asking for your opinions here, not your insistance that you're an "expert".

Seriously, no one cares. You can spout off your credentials until the next full moon, and we still won't give a shit. Sorry for that aside.
