Meh, it's not like they're like last year's Tigers. They have a lot of good players who are just not playing well.
-
I might try and get to a game there again this year, especially if they finally announce that they're leaving. I may actually be in town the weekend of that Astros series, too, so it may end up being a game then.
-
I just dont think I'll trade him. He's on the same kinda roll that Halladay was on last year, so it would have to be something that would really blow me away.
-
Well, at least the 92-93 Sens were on there.
-
Is there a list online anywhere?

I guess you could make the argument that they wouldn't have troops in Iraq if not for Bush. It's grasping at straws, obviously, but some will make that connection. I'm sure they just would have let the guy go, too, if they decided pull their troops...

walk-walk-dp-walk-walk, actually.
-
Story of the season so far, the Jays walk FOUR times in the 1st but don't score once.
-
I hope that he still finds enough time to be on Hollywood Squares.
-
Stocking shelves isn't THAT easy.
-
Yeah, I think it was either Rantsylvania or even Wrestleline, before that.
-
Since the D-Rays are in Toronto this week, I'm hoping their little streak ends ASAP.

I saw something on the news tonight I thought was funny. I think it's in Richmond Hill, there's a candidate running for the Progressive-Canadian party (obviously shortened to 'PC', which is what it says on the ballot, right above where the Conservative is listed), but their signs around town say 'Progressive-Conservative' and are very similar to the Conservative candidate's signs. Apparently the address listed on the website as the office is for some house and no one knows who the candidate is, since she's never been to any of the all-candidate meetings or debates.

I really have no clue who should go for the Jays. Halladay seems like the only choice at this point, even though he's been inconsistent most of the year (granted, he did have high expectations after last year). I would have chosen Wells, but he's hurt now and I'm not even sure he'd be back in time for the game, and if he is back, I don't want him getting re-injured in an exhibition game (even if 'it counts').

It's not exactly the same, though. Francophones aren't immigrating into a new country, they live in one where French is one of the official languages. They should definitely have a basic knowlege of English, but how many Anglophones can say they have anything past an elementary school knowlege of French (something they probably forget once they no longer have to take it in high school)?

I wish they had more cast commentaries on season 4, the only one I can think of is the Streetcar episode that has Hank Azaria and Jon Lovitz.
-
But they forgot how to catch the ball, apparently.
-
Things are fine the way they are. Nothing's stopping anyone from starting a thread for news items they think are big, anyway.

Shit, you didn't even have to hit her, you could have just left the room.

If the (last place) Blue Jays weren't fucked enough, Vernon Wells fucked up his achilles tendon last night and is on the DL. So they're 3-4 hitters now are the hard-hitting tandem of Frank Menechino (!) and Reed Johnson. At this point I just hope they stay around where the Orioles and Rays are right now and play well in the 2nd half so they can finish in 3rd for the 40th season in a row. Finishing at least .500 would be nice. And it's already 4-0 in the 1st for the Giants, in part thanks to not getting Bonds out in a rundown.
-
Yeah, I noticed that after I returned it. There was another problem with the box, too, though, so it needed to be returned, anyway.
-
Just got mine, but I'm going to have to return it tomorrow. The thing with the episodes on the back just fell off when I opened it up. I'll watch some tonight, though, since I've been waiting for almost a year for these to come out.

You guys can keep up the bitchslapping in HD.

Of course, since all the teams you listed (minus Philly and Toronto) had won every Cup from 1994 until last year. I don't get what you were going for here, Jesus himself could have come down and led a team to the Cup and it wouldn't have changed a thing with regards to the labour situation, I don't know why you seem to think that Tampa winning is the worst thing to ever happen to the sport.
