And, in Hell Freezes Over news, the Penguins actually win a game, even though they had to go to OT to do it. Not a good start to the Rick Bowness era in Phoenix.

Maybe he just wants a challenge. He won his 4 World Series with the Yankees and, whether or not it's fair, those will always be seen as being bought by Steinbrenner. Winning it all with a 'lesser' team, and at home, to boot, could likely mean more to him once he's career's over and he looks back. Also, there's probably some fire inside of him hoping to stick it to the Yankees for not showing him the respect he thought he deserved (and I'm not talking about money here, but rather how he didn't feel like they cared about him after seeing the way they've pursued other free agents).

Why should he retire when he can make millions of dollars and spend most of his time at home?

My main problem with it is that he was told to go to Feedback to ask Tom what the deal was and he never got an answer to his liking. All his 'flaming' was limited to that one thread and in the end, he was banned by the same mod that told him to go to Feedback. That being said, he should have dropped it once it seemed like Tom wouldn't say what he wanted him to, but I think banning was a little extreme.

What's the time limit between picks? I realize that people have school and/or work during the day, but we can't be waiting for days or we'll never get this done.

How is saying 'n-word' or 'n*gger' or any other censored version of the word any less offensive than the actual word? There's a lot of grey area here, but I don't think someone should be banned for asking a black person, "How does it feel when someone calls you a 'nigger'?" if the discussion is about race or racism, while if someone starts calling someone a "stupid n*gger" is that ok since he didn't actually say the word?

I don't think Smith would want to play in Toronto because there's some bad blood or something from when he played there before. As for other defencemen, they could probably pick up a stay-at-home type of guy for cheap at the deadline from some team looking to drop payroll. Apparently Gonchar wants to play in Toronto, so hopefully that works in the Leafs favour as the Washington brass might let Gonchar have a say in where he goes because of what he's done for the team over the years. Oh, and on the Hotstove on HNIC on Saturday they said that the Bruins might pick up Ron Francis if him and Carolina decide on whether or not he wants to be traded. He'd be a good guy to have around.

Oh well, at least Boston lost tonight, too. Anyway, I've also heard that the Caps want some of the Leafs defence prospects in a trade for Gonchar and one name someone told me was Coliacovo. The Leafs have a lot of depth in their system in terms of defencemen, so giving up someone like a Coliacovo for Gonchar would be fine by me. Just don't trade Stajan.

So, judging from the promos for the finale where she goes on and on about how great Bryan (it it with a 'y' or an 'i') is and how Bryan says he's falling in love with her and all that other stuff and how she's seems really disinterested with the other dude (I honestly don't know his name as he's never done anything to make an impact on the show, that I remember, anyway) I'm going to guess that she picks the 'hunk' since he has a nice six-pack or some other bullshit. God, I need cable.

Didn't they have a Nitro there once that Master P claimed he would sell out since he was going to be rapping to continue the rap/country feud? I doubt that did good business. The Astrodome for X-Seven was awesome, especially during the early parts of the show where it was still light out so there was some natural light coming in through the glass parts of the roof. Not to mention the fact that the entrance area was awesome, too.

Ok, I guess these are slight spoilers, but the commercials are saying that the tribe that loses the challenge will be dissolved, which I assume means sent home. But, could they just be fucking with us and there will be a 'draft' of some sorts, with the 2 remaining tribes picking up the members of the tribes that lose?
