I hate the no-playing the puck behind the net for goalies rule, since I really think them going back there speeds up the game by creating breakouts. Instead of sitting in the net and waiting for the defenceman to come back and play it they can go out and pass it out before they come all the way back. I do think that they should be fair game if they leave the crease, too, but no one would hit them, anyway, because they'd have everyone on the other team after them.

I'll miss the NHL, but hopefully TSN and SportsNet load up on CHL and AHL games so I'll at least have some hockey to watch. There are a couple of OHL teams within an hour or so of here, plus a Jr. A and Jr. B team, so I can get my fix that way. That being said, I hope they sort their shit out, but I'm not confident.

Bullshit. I think I have more optimism going into the 2004 season as a Jays fan with their $50 million payroll than you do as a Yankee fan with their $180+ million payroll. If you can field a talented team for as cheap as possible, why spend more than you have to?

This will likely all blow over, anyway, and it will probably just mean that the election will be delayed, like the article said. It's funny, though, since Martin was in town here for some meeting with local mayors so all of the national media was at this building that's the headquarters for the counties that used to be the old school board building that's right next to the school I used to go to.

I'd be up for it, too.

The Triumph thing was funny, but there was too much 'You speak French, you suck' stuff in there. The fat separtist who got pissed and the old perv were the 2 best parts of the segment and they had little to do with language. Yeah, he'll have to apologize, but this whole thing will probably blow over. I knew some people were going to be pissed, but as usual the whole Quebec thing is blown out of proportion.

Now, I like to think that I'm pretty much devoid of a social life and spend entirely too much time here and on other message boards, so does anyone care to explain to me how some people have posted as much as 10,000 more times than I have? Now, I realize that a lot of these people's posts consist of 1-5 words and very little substance, but I do that, too, yet my post count doesn't match the population of a small city. This isn't a 'big post count' thing as much as it is a 'How the hell do you post so much?' thing.

Workers used better by WCW than by Vince McMahon..
treble replied to Use Your Illusion's topic in General Wrestling
I have to disagree with Mysterio. He was never really seriously booked outside of anything but a cruiserweight in WCW, yet could play with the big boys (well, sort of, anyway) when he came to WWE. Really, I don't have to remind anyone of Mysterio's time as the most fucking annoying person on the planet as a member of the Filthy Animals, do I? -

Well you thought wrong. It actually is why I reacted that way. -

Yeah, I don't think people bugging you about where you come from has anything to do with your reaction. -

Why so uppity? -
I had to laugh when I saw some news source call Bonk a 'standout'. A solid NHLer, sure, but he's not quite a standout.

He's annoying, regardless of the music he likes (or doesn't like). -

Stop whining. -
Well, I'm stating how I feel about the situation. I don't expect what I'm saying to have some impact on the sale of guns and that every nutjob who's armed to the teeth will suddenly see the light and give up their guns and join me in dancing around trees.

Ramon gave him those pills, but I think that was it.

No, I don't have a problem with people using their freedom of speech too much, but, I believe you should use constraint there. I mean, just because I have the right to go up to everyone I see and say whatever I want to them, but that doesn't mean that I would do that. It's common sense. So, even if you have the right to own 400 guns, I really don't see the need for it.

Penguins acquire D Jackman from Leafs for D Berehowsky I think I trust Berehowsky on the blue line more than I do Jackman, but I wonder if he's going to get more playing time than Jackman did.

I definitely think you should have the right to bear arms, but I've always questioned the need to have 10 guns (or more or whatever) in your house. Yeah, I know the Constitution says you can have them (and I hate it when people use that as their sole reason for keeping guns in their house), but does having a small army's worth of assault rifles in your home make you feel any safer than you would with a simple handgun?

Yeah, Tony doesn't even wince anymore. The fucker shouldn't even be awake.

You know, no one ever answered his question.

Ok, but say there's a nice play in some game, like a diving catch or something. Someone may want to bring it up, but it's kind of pointless starting a thread saying, 'Hey, did you see that catch?' when it can all be contained in a larger thread containing discussion of minor events. I understand what you're saying, though, but I don't really want to see the Sports folder littered with threads like, 'Back-up 3rd baseman sent to AAA' or 'That was a nice game'.
-
Yeah. There might be something you want to discuss that probably doesn't warrant it's own thread, so I see no real problem with 'Baseball Discussion' thread or something along those lines.

He was on Mad TV, too. And why was Wayne having an affair with someone who looks like she could be his sister?
