I'm really hoping they can keep Escobar, but Lidle can take a long walk off a short pier for all I care. Bordick's likely retiring, though I would love if he came back for one more year. Well, I can't see Tatis coming back and Cordero's probably gone, too. I'd like to see Zeile come back, but he still has other teams to hit on his 'Major League World Tour'. Oh yeah, there's that Guerrero guy, too, I hear he's pretty good...

Austin/Shamrock was a good match from September '98. I believe it was from the first Raw back after the US Open and it was a great match up until the shitty ending (Undertaker, Kane, Rock, and Mankind all did run-ins and everyone just started brawling with each other).

That's about all I can drink, and even then it's not my first choice in 'iced beverages'. I can't stand coffee, I've tried drinking it a few times, but I can't choke it down. My dad doesn't drink it, either, so maybe it's genetics or something, I dunno. If I go to Tim Horton's and want something hot, it's hot chocolate. For caffeine in general, ice tea or coke, I guess.

Well, thank you for getting my hopes up.

Just a horrible show, probably one of the worst SNLs I've ever seen. I knew it would be bad coming in, but I wasn't prepared for this.

Chapter 73: Women LIKE being naked (unless, of course, someone else rips their clothes off, then it ain't cool)

I've always thought that the Olympics should be for the world's best athletes, regardless of whether they're being paid or not.

Where did you get all this news from?

Air Canada Centre: Only been there once for wrestling, so I haven't seen a Leafs or Raptors game there so it's hard to give it a fair rating, but it seemed nice enough. 7/10 Corel Centre: Nice location for someone like me, bad for most people in Ottawa. I've been there a bunch of times for wrestling and hockey games, and I like it, even though it's nothing special. 7/10 Olympic Stadium: Yeah, I don't mind it all that much. It get's dumped on a lot, and even though it isn't a great place to watch baseball (or football, either, really), it's not bad for what it is. 5/10 Molson Stadium: Where the Alouettes play in Montreal. It's all benches and stuff, and it's rather small, but man, that atmosphere at that place is awesome. Best sports experience I've probably ever had. 9/10 SkyDome: I don't know if I can give it a fair rating, since I haven't been there for a while. It's not bad, and I think I actually like the Big O a little more, but it's where the Jays play, so I'm biased. 5/10

I'm hoping the Jays make a pitch for him, seeing as how he's Canadian and all he might want to play at 'home' (not that BC's anywhere near Toronto).
-
Hmm, Canada could still make it. Maybe Clemens could move back to Toronto and become a Canadian citizen...

Didn't he just have Tommy John surgery?

Well, like I said, the 1977-1996 logo wasn't really all that different from the 1997-2002 one. It was the same basic design, just modernized a bit. I really don't know why they wore that cartoonish one in 2003 (or even really why they're changing it again for 2004), but it was only for 1 year, and it was pretty much known that they were going for a new look in '04 so I look(ed) at '03 as a 'transition' year. As for Arizona, I found this, which shows the logos they've used over their long, illustrious history, but I know they've worn many different style uniforms since 1998.
-
You can't seriously believe that when there's a team like the Diamondbacks running around, having worn about 30 different uniforms during their time in the league. As for the Jays, the logo/uniform change this year is the first drastic one in the team's history. The 1997 change was more of a modernizing of the old, 70s-ish logo and the one they wore last year (the red 'T' with a Blue Jay holding a bat and throwing a baseball in the air) they had introduced as an alternate/spring training logo a few years earlier (and it sucked).

I think they'd have to offer a LOT more than anyone else is willing to give them in order to entice them to play in Detroit.

Why should he be banned?
-
Well, there's no proof that he's not insane, that's good enough for Mike.
-
I doubt that.

I joined the EZBoard about 6 weeks or so before the switch.

There are tons of posters here who were banned in the old Smarks EZBoard days.

The One and Only A Minute with Stan Hooper thread

Overall, I wasn't very high on last week's episode, so I hope that it improves this week. I need something to watch. -
This is fun.

"Showgirl" Elizabeth Berkley Gets Hitched
treble replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in Television & Film
I think Showgirls is well known, but mostly because Jessie from SBTB was naked in it. It probably would be mostly forgotten today if it had been some unknown actress in the role. -
