The food at the dining hall at my residence last year was decent. I always heard people complaining about it, but I don't know what the fuck they were expecting. There's a Mr. Sub, Pizza Pizza, and Tim Horton's on campus that accept meal plan dollars, so I blew most of the $300 (the plan my residence was on was that you get 16 meals a week, plus an extra $300 for the year) I was allotted on pizza. I've hardly bought anything on campus this year, though, maybe a slice of pizza and some stuff from vending machines, but I do most of my eating at home now. Speaking of the cafeteria, though, the cooks are on strike now, so the fucking bus drivers won't cross the picket line and take us all the way up to the bus stops on campus, they just drop us off at the entrances. It's a 10 minute walk that's not so bad now, but if they don't get this settled soon, it's going to be a bitch once the temperature drops.

Oh, and most of the time, I've noticed that ESPN doesn't have any ads behind home plate. Even in places that normally have a rotating ad screen back there, they just usually leave it blank.
-
At least you don't have Global digitally inserting ads in CBS' or FOX's broadcasts. Nothing more annoying than seeing an ad for Canadian Tire at a game in Miami.

What are your favorite death scenes of all-time?
treble replied to TheOriginalOrangeGoblin's topic in Television & Film
Yeah, that one, plus Seann William Scott's decapitation scene in the same movie. -
I think if Edmonton gets the Rumble, that would leave Ottawa as the only Canadian city with an NHL calibre arena that has not had a PPV. Fuck, even Winnipeg and Hamilton have had them. Oh well, if SummerSlam's at SkyDome next year, I'll try and go to that.

As the HUGE buyrates that WrestleMania and Judgment Day got show. Fact is, if Hogan was such a huge PPV and TV draw, Vince would have kept him around. There's no real appeal in seeing Hogan on TV anymore, since the matches suck. People want to see him in person, which is evident by the large pops he gets, but that doesn't translate into ratings and buyrates.

OK, gotcha. Thanks.

I was at this show. Uh, +1.

I think I'm going to lose this week. Question: I'm a bit of a n00b to this fantasy thing, but do the players on the bench not count towards your totals? Since Matt Stajan played yesterday, he didn't score at all (don't get me started on that), but he did get a few shots on goal.

I always thought 'fuckery' was spelled with an 'e'.

This thread reminds of this guy in one of my classes that looks like Rene Dupree. I think he's French, too.

Last season's NHL all-star game was awesome.

There was no hockey game last night, was there?

At first I thought it was Wells that charged Pedro, since all I saw was the bald head. As for Pedro dropping him, I don't blame him. It's just human nature when someone's charging at you to defend yourself, and it's not like he punched him in the face or anything, he just moved out of the way and shoved him. Blame the whole thing on Manny being a pussy.

I realize the Cubs have it all but locked up now, but, come on, it's the Cubs. I won't celebrate until they get the final out.

I hope this holds up.

I can actually watch tonight's game! *is stoked*

Yeah, I only had 1 guy play yesterday.

Harry Makmyday Portland Door keeper In a wheelchair, pushed down Yankee Stadium steps with body flipping up and landing on third base. Well, hopefully I crushed a few Yankee players on my way out.

Their defence isn't 'horrible'. Sure, it's not great, or even that good, but to label them horrible is not fair just because they don't have any all-stars on the blueline.

Well, obviously Ottawa's the better team and (barring a boat load of injuries) are going to win the Northeast and finish ahead of Toronto, again, but I do think the Leafs have a decent shot at winning it all, not clawing for a playoff spot like some people are saying.

Yeah, Karros hit that homer off of Acevedo, who was promptly released, showed up in Toronto and stunk up the joint as their closer before THEY released him, too.

He's been here for over a year and a half. You guys suck.
