I think the CN Tower is a big TV antenna, so you might knock out TV reception. I'd be pissed.

I got a porn email from my mom.

    I agree.

    SmartMarks Fantasy Hockey?

I'm in, I should be able to make the draft, too.

    Halladay pitches 10-inning shutout

Yeah, I think he went on 3 days rest 3 times and he was awesome. Something like 3-0 with a really stingy ERA.

    Halladay pitches 10-inning shutout

His ERA has dropped a lot in his last 3 games, plus, thanks to Loiza losing today and his ERA going up, he's probably got the inside track. Plus, he's got an easy schedule the rest of the way, with starts against Detroit, Tampa, and Cleveland, likely, while Loaiza's probably going to have to go up against Minnesota, KC, and the Yankees the rest of the way.

    Halladay pitches 10-inning shutout

And Halladay won his 20th today against Tampa, 3-1, in his 3rd consecutive complete game. The run was unearned (thanks to an error by Eric Hinkse, who's been playing horrible defence lately), and the game barely took 2 hours to play.

I just wanted to quote it before he went back and edited his post.

Twins Play off Tix on Sale

I've heard that some of the best seats in the Metrodome baseball-wise are in the upper deck in the outfield, right over where the football press boxes are.

I think this is the Pedro game you were talking about.

I'd rather the Yankees sweep through the playoffs undefeated than have the Marlins even so much as make it into the post-season.

Not really, there are fans that hate both teams. I'd bet more people around the States would tune in to see 2 teams that haven't won in forever rather than 2 teams they don't like.

People don't hate Chicago like they do New York, though (well, the Yankees in particular). Plus, you'd have all that excitement in Chicago that one of those teams is FINALLY going to win something. It would have an element that the Subway Series didn't have.

What I want the playoffs to look like, based on the situation right now: AL - Red Sox, White Sox, A's, Mariners NL - Braves, Cubs, Giants, Dodgers I don't really care who wins out of that pool, although I think a White Sox/Cubs World Series would be quite awesome.

Whoever they can. I'm not picky.

    NHL Free Agency 2003

I'm glad they picked Nieuwendyk up, I just hope his knees hold up. Hopefully now they'll trade one of either Green or Tucker for a defenceman, which is what they really need.

    Doug Gilmour retires

I kind of wish that his last game didn't end with him dragging himself off the ice, but at least he did get to go out as a Leaf. Too bad he couldn't come back for one last season, though.

ESPN says PNC Park is the best

Actually, I think I heard that they can't blow up the Vet since there are subways connected to it. They'll have to demolish it the old fashioned way.

ESPN says PNC Park is the best

Well, they want all the bells and whistles that SkyDome has, but they also want the charm of the 'old-time' ballparks, which SkyDome most definitely does not possess. Personally, I like Olympic Stadium more than SkyDome, it has more character.

ESPN says PNC Park is the best

I think the problem was Jim Caple had too many warm fuzzies about the Metrodome that he couldn't rate it objectively. Wow, so they had a Super Bowl there. What does that have to do with baseball? They had the freakin' Olympics in Montreal, not to mention 4 or 5 Grey Cup games (some of which drew the biggest crowds in CFL history) and he ignored that.

Yeah, I'm not going to say that the Jays are the more successful franchise over the past 10-15 years, I was just saying that they've provided me with 2 championships, while the Braves have only won 1, so I have no reason to envy Atlanta's fans. Oh, and my new goal for the Blue Jays the rest of the way is to finish better than whoever wins the Central. Only 5 back of Chicago with all their games left against Tampa, Baltimore, Detroit, and Cleveland. Halladay has a good shot at 23 wins, too.

ESPN says PNC Park is the best

I kind of disliked how he gave 'extra points' to the Metrodome for stuff like Super Bowls, concerts, Final Four games, etc., since it's supposed to be objectively telling you which ballpark is a better place to watch a game. The Big O got shafted, as per usual, too. I'm not saying it should have been higher up in the ratings, just that it should have received a few more points (if you're going to ignore the baseball-coloured roof in Minnesota, you can't dock points for the roof in Montreal, which at least isn't the same colour as a ball).

As a Jays fan, what reason would I have to be jealous of the Braves? Toronto beat them in the '92 Series, and have won 1 more championship than they have since their run started, despite not making the playoffs since '93.
