Take away a 3-run 9th inning comeback against Tampa on Thursday (which meant nothing, as they lost anyway), and the Jays have scored 1 run in the last 4 games. 1 run in the first 3 games against Cleveland.

Carbonneau makes some weird goalie choices. Remember last year when he started Huet over Halak in the last game of the season, even though Huet hadn't started in almost 2 months?

I think the offense is maybe middle of the pack in the AL. Fuck, they're FOURTH in the league in OBP, but 12th in runs. Fuck. I hate to be 'the season is over and it's not even May', but fuck. Did I mention fuck. Anyway, firing Gibbons would be pointless, but I can see it happening. This is almost all on Ricciardi, though, so he'll do whatever he can to keep his job, throw anything at the wall and hope that it sticks.

The Jays just fucking suck right now. Their hitting shouldn't be this bad, and even when something good does happen (Wells throwing out someone at home), something bad is just right around the corner. I almost wish the pitching was awful, then I wouldn't get my hopes up that they have any shot at winning any game right now.

I'm guessing it's just cheaper to keep paying to have their name on the buildings than it would be to get out of the contracts that they absorbed when they bought SBC (or whatever happened there).

Using position numbers is the last thing I'd get on Campbell's case about, he's just not very good overall. It's kind of hard to explain, I think it has to do with the tone of his voice or something, and the way he changes it. And sometimes he seems to put on this fake voice, it's weird. You'd have to listen to him call a few games to pick up on it, I think. But I do like watching him call games with Mulliniks, because you can tell Rance really doesn't like him. My favourite came a few weeks ago, when Marco Scutaro took a 3-2 pitch with the bases loaded that walked in a run. Campbell started talking about how brave it was to take that pitch in that situation, while Rance takes one look at the replay and shoots him down by going, 'that really wasn't that close'.

I really like coleslaw, but I can't stand when people try to get 'fancy' with it. Throwing raisins and nuts in there doesn't make it any better. My aunt is guilty of this, which is too bad, because her's might be the best coleslaw I've had.

It's nice that the Jays are getting their season killing losing streak out of the way even earlier this season. Nothing's going right for them, Gritty David Eckstein drops an easy double play ball that would have gotten them out of the inning after they FINALLY get the lead and the Royals have scored 6 runs (and counting) without there being another out. Completely wasted a great Burnett start, too.

Yeah, I've given up on Earl for now. The first season was really good, and so were parts of the 2nd, but they lost me when almost every episode was a flashback. I understand that they had to do it when Jamie Pressly was pregnant, but it seems like the writers got lazy over the last season or so.
