Well, I can always hope for a car accident, I guess.

I think the Raptors could maybe win 2 games against Orlando! At least the Magic don't have any red alternate uniforms they could wear to mess with Toronto's marketing plans.

The worst part of Fox games is the way that Tim McCarver just kind of pops in after Buck introduces him. I also like how Buck always mentions that McCarver will be joining him shortly, like everyone is going to be worried that he's not there, or something.

The Jays have 6 losses now, 5 of them by 1 run.

Comments which don't warrant a thread.

I picked him, but he didn't look too bad when they showed him singing 'Take Me Out to the Ballgame' during a Jays game last weekend.

Consider this thread my webiste: Bizarro HNIC pairing for the Colorado/Minnesota game: Dean Brown and Harry Neale.

Even though they probably shouldn't have a team, I have to admit, the playoff atmosphere in Nashville is pretty cool.

Mike Emrick and Ed Olczyk.

Is it just me, or is TSN picking up the US feed more than usual this year. I know they usually do when the game is on NBC, but it seems like we've been seeing a lot more VS this season. I think I've only seen Cuthbert and Healy do 2 games so far.

"Touch all of the bases, Joe Carter, if you want it to count" "A dominating performance by hydrogen"

I have to wonder if Keenan will put Kiprusoff back in if the score at least stays the same. I think they've only got one shot on CuJo so far, so it's not like he's the reason they're playing better.

Boston should be ahead 2-1. I don't like having to cheer for the Bruins, but I guess it's better than the alternative.

First Jays sweep in Texas since '85, I think. I'm tempted to think the series against Oakland was just some bad luck, and a case of a team having their number. They've had a chance to win every game so far this year, and with just a bit better luck, they could be sitting with only 1 or 2 losses right now.

I've made a lot of changes to my team. It usually doesn't make a difference.

BJ Ryan is off the DL.

Zezel looks like someone from the Sopranos. His head is massive.

I got 25, but it's completely inaccurate when talking about grocery and hardware stores. All the ones they have listed are in the States, which isn't too convenient.

Any of my relievers (Street, Gregg, Fuentes) are available for hitting help, if anyone needs saves or holds help.

From what I've seen it looks pretty bad. But it does have the Leafs winning the Cup, so I'm torn.

Sometimes I just stand here and watch TV for hours.

Bullshit. Toronto had media hype from 98-2004. Especially the two years they were at the Conference Finals, and its still like that on any show. Why isn't JFJ getting fired yet, should Sundin be traded? Who should they get rid of next? Maybe it is more negative side of the Leaf coverage, but they are still getting coverage. Besides Montreal wasn't the most covered team in the NHL this year in terms of analysists. The demise of the Ottawa Senators took a lot of talk from January to now, and at the beginning of the season, they were considered to be the greatest team ever assembled. You can't help to say that Kovalev was the catalyst of the Habs success. (1st in the PP, lead the team in scoring, helped Plekanec, Kostitsyns) but there were other factors. Carey Price emerging as a superstar, Andrei Markov having a Norris-like season. A huge improvement on the 5-5 with the addition of Roman Hamilrik. Mark Streit plays well both on offence and defence, and Mike Komisarek is playing like a beast this season. The Habs have one of the best balanced offence in the league. What I'm saying is that the Leafs have never gotten this kind of coverage. Obviously they get the most press, but never this 're-birth of a franchise' or whatever bs they've been pumping out when talking about the Habs the past few months. And I'm not disputing that Kovalev has been a big part of the Habs good season, just that I don't like that the media seem to be ignoring the fact that a lot of them were calling him a piece of shit for the last few years.

Ha, I don't know. Kurt Suzuki just got hit in the ass and Campbell said that he got it, 'in the kisser'.

There were a bunch of little things I liked (the small TV, the tour of the condo, stuff like that) enough that I liked the episode overall. They really need to spend more time in the actual office, though.

I'm convinced the Leafs would NEVER get this kind of coverage. Yeah, they get a lot of press, but even when they're going well, I can never remember it like this (maybe it was in '93, but I wasn't even 10 yet, so I don't remember much). Anyway, the Kovalev stuff is what gets me the most. They're basically ignoring the fact that the knock on him is that he only played well when he felt like it. Are we supposed to grovel at his feet because he decided to try hard this year? I can't deny that he can be a great player, but I don't like that they gloss over the part about him picking and choosing when it's time to go all out. Also, 90% of my family are Habs fans, so them going out early is best case scenario for me.
