    The 2007 Stanley Cup Finals

I think the size of the MTS Centre is probably just right, based on what the Jets drew during their time in Winnipeg. I talked about it about 2 1/2 years ago here. The one link is dead, but the Jets never really drew that well. Sure, there'd be high demand for a team in the first few seasons if they went back, but based on history, a 15,000 seat venue is probably just right for the market.

ESPN sucks, so do thread closers

There aren't any shows on the XM MLB channel that I can listen to besides Fantasy Focus. I guess the MLB Live shows are ok when there are games on, but I can't stand 90% of the hosts on that channel.

    The 2007 Stanley Cup Finals

I don't think he'd move to Kansas City just becaus they have an arena, it's just that the people who built the new arena really want a team to play in there and would probably give him (or anyone) a sweetheart deal if they moved the team there.

    The 2007 Stanley Cup Finals

I know he wanted to move the team, I just wasn't sure of the context of where he laughed off the notion of moving to KC. Was it at a press conference in Pittsburgh or just an off the cuff-type comment. Kitchener-Waterloo is his first choice, obviously, but I can't see the NHL making it easy for him to move there. I don't think they'd outright not allow it, but they'd probably make him pay off the Leafs and maybe the Sabres, too, kind of like the Nationals had to do with the Orioles. And where would they play for the first few seasons? Hamilton? The OHL arena in Kitchener? Hey, that's another thing, the Rangers owners probably don't want an NHL team coming into their area. Winnipeg and Kansas City probably make the most sense, and if he doesn't want to go to KC and is dead set on moving them to Canada, I'm thinking they would try and steer him towards putting the team in Winnipeg.

How much of that was not wanting to piss off the Pittsburgh fans, though?

    The 2007 Stanley Cup Finals

Yeah, Kitchener makes no sense. My guess is he takes them to Kansas City since he can get a good deal there, but I don't see them being any more relevant there then they are in Nashville.

    Jayson Stark's Overrated/Underrated

Delgado? I don't know, he's been an automatic 30 HR-100 RBI guy for the last 10 years or whatever and that's pretty much what everyone expects of him, I don't think he usually even comes up in HoF discussions. Wells is probably overrated, definitely overpaid, but the Jays really needed to keep him for PR reasons, mostly.

    LOST

The only problems I can see with having flashforwards for the rest of the series is that it takes away a lot of the drama on who lives and who dies. Like, we already know that Jack and Kate live, so anytime that a gun is pulled on them, or whatever, we know they're going to be ok (even if we were 99% sure they wouldn't be killed off before, there was still that 1% gnawing at us). I guess they could mix up flashbacks and flashforwards and not reveal which one it is until the end of the episode for the rest of the cast, though.

And one more thing, how come Rose is so gung ho about getting off the island now? And why was Bernard helping them when he told Rose they didn't have to leave if she didn't want to.

    LOST

I knew not putting one in Mikael's head would come back to bite them in the ass. Since those guys apparently aren't with Penny, I think the rest of the show will be told in flashbacks back to what happened after the 'rescue party' came and what they do to get away from them and get off the island.

2007 NHL STANLEY CUP PLAYOFFS - ROUND THREE

At least they aren't afternoon games, so the horse races shouldn't do anything to the hockey coverage.

    The Office, Season 3

Anyone catch, during Jim's interview, David Wallace ripping on the HR guy who works in New York? 'He's probably the only guy here that you're not going to like'. They're going to need to go an episode where him, Toby, and all the other HR guys get together.

    Al's Baseball Diary: 5/18/07

I remember when Chris Michalak was on the Jays (I think it was 2000 or 2001). He had this really good pick-off move and it seemed like every start he would pick-off at least one guy, then all of a sudden, the umpires started calling it a balk and that was pretty much the end of him.

They really like to draw these out, don't they? Are they walking from San Antonio to Utah?

    Most shocking award snubs?

Will Arnett probably should have been nominated for Best Supporting Actor before the 3rd season of Arrested Development. Would have been nice for him to win, too, when he finally did get a nod.

Oh, and Alfredsson touched the Wales trophy a little bit. Hopefully that was enough. And my 8000th post is about the Senators. Feelin' dirty.

Great stuff. I wish they had shown Angela making a dirty face, or something, when Dwight winked at Pam, though, and getting pissed at Dwight about it later.

Michael Kay just said that the 79-65 1995 Yankees probably would have beaten the 100-44 Indians had the Yankees got past the Mariners that year.
