No, I'm watching on TV. I'd listen to the radio over the TV guys, though, but there's no station close enough that plays them and the XM doesn't synch up with the video.

Aaron Hill (#2) hits his 2nd homer, a 2 run shot, with 2 outs in the 2nd inning.

I'm happy with the trade, but I got screwed out of a roster spot this week since the trade was approved after I went to sleep. And I've got Kazmir on the bench this week, to boot.

I'm pretty sure the Leafs lost all confidence in Tellqvist after Montreal, especially after the display Aubin put on at the end of last season. I'm kinda surprised he wasn't flipped somewhere for a (late round) draft pick after the Raycroft trade. I think Raycroft is mostly supposed to be a stopgap until Pogge is (hopefully) ready, which I'm guessing is still a season away barring injuries or whatever. And I don't think they wanted to waste too much cap space in net since Belfour's buyout will still count against them, so it should be in the $2 million range with Raycroft/Aubin assuming Tellqvist is gone, plus I think over $2 million still for Belfour. Giguere and Nabokov both have pretty big contracts and the UFA goalies like Gerber and Legace would probably get somewhere near $3 million. I wanted them to sign Legace, but didn't think getting Raycroft was an option. Just gotta hope that Rask doesn't turn out to be better than Pogge.

Sportsnet was saying the Leafs were talking to Edmonton about Pronger, who wanted Kaberle and Alex Steen, but the Leafs offered up Matt Stajan instead. Kaberle has a no-trade clause, but that doesn't kick in until July 1, so this would have to happen quickly. I really hope they don't have to give up Steen.

In Triple Play '99, I had Rey Ordonez as my shortstop and had him hitting over .400 into August before I got bored of the game and stopped playing. It never worked when I tried to move him up in the order, though, he only played well when he was hitting 7th or 8th.

Yeah, I'm just hoping Pogge ends up being better than Rask. What's Raycroft's contract situation?
-
That's too confusing. People will just bitch about not knowing which game is on which channel which will just piss everyone off.

Is it strange that I live in the 'City of the Thousand Islands' but have never had Thousand Islands dressing?

Went to the Jays/Mets game tonight, it was alright. The Jays being out of it almost from the beginning kinda sucked, and I didn't get a Lastings Milledge hi-five like I wanted, but the ovation Delgado got at his first at-bat was nice. The only time I got excited was during Reed Johnson's triple and when these 2 morons ran onto the field.

The song scared the shit out of my cat.

Burnett's looking pretty good so far (knock on wood). 4 Ks through the first 2 innings with only 1 hit. The Jays logo they use on TBS is fucked up, though. The area around the eye that's white is all blue on there.

Better than Jamie Campbell. 'Overbay, over wall!'

Neyer didn't have Clemens first start back in Boston after signing with Toronto on his list. That game was awesome. And is it wrong that I'm a little overly excited that tonights Jays/Braves game is on TBS? I'm so sick of watching games on Sportsnet that it'll be nice to see the game from a different perspective.

So much for that. Halladay's starting Saturday now so it's Janssen/Glavine on Friday night.
-
Well, bit of a homer pick here, but I'm saying Sundin.
-
Yeah, he got rocked, IIRC.
-
Oh, and Weight could barely hold the Cup up there. At least he sorta got it over his head, though.
-
I'm not so sure I would have given the Smythe to Ward. I mean, he was awesome and all for stretches, but he did get pulled in the Conference finals and if they had left him in there for that game, it's possible they wouldn't have even won that round.
-
FYI, Lilly's not starting until Wednesday night's game, the Braves get lucky and get to face Josh Towers Tuesday. Going to the Mets/Jays game Friday night. Should be pretty good, Delgado's first game back in Toronto and an awesome pitching match-up in Glavine vs. Halladay.

I read somewhere that the Leafs want to sign Legace.

0-6 against the Rockies and Marlins. Damn that 1993 expansion.
-
At least there's some good news, as Burnett had another good rehab start in AA tonight. Plus Halladay is pitching tomorrow and they're going to Atlanta after this, so this slide shouldn't last too long.
-
I'll feel bad for Weight if the 'Canes win the Cup and he isn't be able to raise it because of his shoulder.
-
Yeah, can we put an end to this interleague stuff. Jays are 0-4 against NL teams, looking to go like 0-5 after Casey Janssen got rocked by the Marlins.
