Loved the bit about the reference no one got, and the Andy Richter stuff, of course.

    What should I watch tonight?

The Lewis Black thing is dissappointing. He spends too much time ripping on the weather. Ooh.
  4. My friend has this book, but I doubt he'd be willing to part with it. Sorry. It's quite the read.

I just had that same problem, so I had to download the newest version from nintendowifi.com and it seems to be working now. So, Tim 146091 276556 I think I've got everyone in here's friendcodes added to mine, too.

    Least Favourite

Yeah, I didn't get SportsNet back then, so I was spared, even though I read all about him and his misadventures with the English language. I guess SportsNet's never really had any good analysts, then, now that I think about it.

Now that Dan Schulman and Buck Martinez are in the States and Tom Cheek is dead, the Blue Jays have some bad people in the booth in both radio and TV. Rob Faulds was really bad as a PBP guy and Jamie Campbell isn't much better, but I'll give him a chance to develop since he's only had one season. It would help if he had a steady partner instead of the rotating colourmen he had last season (and none of them are really any good). Warren Sawkiw was really bad as a studio analyst and was just as bad in the booth at the '04 Olympics. I listened to maybe 2 or 3 games on the radio last season and he bad there, too. Jerry Howarth is alright, but he was better when he had someone who was good at their job like Cheek in the booth with him. It's pretty bad when Rob Black is the best of the bunch. I used to think Joe Bowen for the Leafs wasn't all that bad, but I was wrong. Him and Harry Neale just laugh at stupid jokes all game. Dennis Beyak's a lot better and I wish they'd give him a shot on TV instead of being the back-up radio guy. Peter Loubardias from SportsNet has any annoying 'He scores' call, but he mostly seems to do junior/AHL games, and I don't watch too many of those, so it's alright. I don't really like Gord Miller as TSN's lead hockey PBP guy, either. Chris Cuthbert's a lot better, I find, but they usually stick him with Glen Healy on the b-games.

I'm not worried too much about that. Aside from 03 and 04, his lowest games played total was 149 (last season). And, he played in more games than Hudson did last year, so it's hard to complain about trading for an injury prone player when the player he was traded for hasn't played more than 135 games in the past 2 seasons. His contract is kind of big, but they've got the money to spend and it only has 3 years left, so it's not likely to hurt them long term if Glaus falls off. I really like this trade.

I have to say, Canada's new uniforms are pretty ugly. The ones they had were so nice, why mess with a good thing?

That means Glaus is on his way. Yeah, that's what he said right before the Ryan signing.

    2005-06 MLB Offseason Thread

I don't have any numbers in front of me to prove this, and I'm not sure he had enough time at the position, but based on my memory from the few times he played there (towards the end of the season after Hudson hurt his ankle and didn't play for the last few weeks) Hill seemed pretty capable at 2nd. Not as good as Hudson, but he made some nice plays. I figured Hudson would be traded for some offensive help and his value is pretty high coming off of the Gold Glove and Glaus is a pretty good hitter. I'm guessing Hillenbrand will be shipped out now, since he can fetch more than Hinske and I've heard that Hinske will be used mostly in a DH platoon against righties, pretty expensive for that, though.

    What are your Keychains?

I've got a WrestleMania XX one that they were giving away when I saw the show at the movie theatre. Don't have any keys, though.

  19. I've only IM'd one person on this entire board, been in the baseball chats, and oh yeah, Piss invited me once to a chat that I just read and didn't say anything. That's my job.

Are there any finishers that are easier to reverse than others? I'm trying to pass that challenge and am looking for the easiest way possible. Thanks.

Anyone else seen the deleted scenes they have up on NBC.com? My favourite's the one with the IT guy: 'Is there a Johnny Carson in your land?' 'Pittsburgh?'

    2005-06 MLB Offseason Thread

I don't really like the Jays giving up on Bush, but I like this trade better than the Hillenbrand/Bush rumours there were earlier in this thread. And I'm kinda pissed at Wilkerson going to Texas since I heard the Jays were interested. I would have prefered him to Overbay and he could have played 1st or OF if needed.
