I was kinda hoping Herzog would win and that he would headbutt Maher. Or crush him with his massive balls.

It sucks that Michael Shannon finally gets some damn recognition and it has to be in a category that is a lock for someone else.

Ok, how is it that a movie where the thing that got it the makeup award was mostly CGI? CGI is not makeup.

In Bruges so should've won. Milk was decent, not great.

It's the best of the Best Picture nominees and I can understand people liking it as much as they seem to.

Wasn't "Shopgirl" supposed to be pretty good?

The Dark Knight hits $1 Billion worldwide

45 minutes is a bit long for a short film. I think that's the cut-off between a short and a feature.

From the stories I have heard, Aronofsky wrote the movie for Rourke, but he turned it down the first time. Cage got the part, but dropped out after being backstage at an ROH event. Aronofsky sent the script to Rourke again, even after hearing that he could not get financial backing for Rourke. Rourke re-read the script after Aronofsky told him he couldn't pay him, but could get him an Oscar. I read these from various media news sites over the production time. Rourke also mentioned on Leno, I believe, about not getting paid but getting the Oscar nod. Aronofsky didn't write the movie.

And the brick has a picture drawn on it of Stick Figure House with Stick Figure Cuddy bent over in front of him and little question marks all around.

Looks to be some decent shots, the one at the very end in particular. But I dunno if I like the high contrast black and white filter you put on it. I would agree with the abovementioned "hand cannon" issue, but without it being in the context of the movie as a whole I don't know how much of an issue that would really be. And the title being in red is a bit jarring with everything else being desaturated. How long is the movie?

I've watched Benoit matches without a problem, but I haven't tried putting in the Hard Knocks documentary again yet, so I dunno if I'd watch that without a problem or not.

Saw this trailer before The Wrestler today. I giggled a bit when they started talking about the donkey punch, but I couldn't stop laughing after the title came up.

I covered the change of command for this branch of the US Army Corps of Engineers. It was boring.
