    LOST

What's wrong with some of you? I'm shocked that the line by "Yemi" saying that he wasn't Eko's brother, is actually confusing some of you, and not knowing what it meant. At least we now know how different people have been seeing images of dead people, and having it seem so real. Not to mention that it explains the visions of Walt as well.

I don't see how anyone who enjoys movies can't find something about Eternal Sunshine that they like. It's my favorite movie ever.

    Borat

Here is a cool look behind Sacha Baron Cohen's career. It has a lot of early footage of all three of his characters, and stuff from his career before he created Ali G, Borat, and Bruno: Ali G: Before He Was Massiv - Part I Ali G: Before He Was Massiv - Part II Ali G: Before He Was Massiv - Part III And also this: Borat on the Jonathan Ross Show - Part I Borat on the Jonathan Ross Show - Part II

South Park Season 10 starts tomorrow

This could be so great. This has been the best batch of new episodes in a long time.

    Stranger Than Fiction

Uh..Eternal Sunshine.. was the closest serious movie Jim Carrey has done that gave him any respect as a serious actor and he's blown that by doing Dick and Jane, Lemony Snicket and whatever else hes done thats been big piles of shit.. -The Truman Show (1998) -Man on the Moon (1999) -The Majestic (2001) -Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004) And while it might be a comedy, many people started to really take notice of Jim Carrey in Liar Liar (1997), realizing that he isn't just a straight up goof actor, and that he could be much more than he was being portrayed has back then. Will Ferrell is now at the point in his career where Jim Carrey was right before Liar Liar. Sure he's been in a few dramas, but nothing that really focused on him that most people have ever seen. Many may not believe it now, but Stranger Than Fiction is a huge moment in Will Ferrell's career. I, for one, think he'll be just fine. If you look down the list of great actors, even Oscar winners, you'll find quite a few who started off in straight up comedy. There is a reason for that also, since it takes a lot of talent to actually be a great comedic actor, and that often leads to much bigger things.

    Wii

It was a smart move by Nintendo having more TBGFX and Genesis games available at the start. No offense to them, but if they loaded up the VC with Nintendo games at the start, most casual gamers would flock to those games instead. It should do a lot to help make sure more and more of the non-Nintendo games are released for the VC.

    Stranger Than Fiction

Speaking of AD cast members in movies, I wonder if the GOB/Odenkirk flick (Let's Go to Prison) will be any good.
  9. I'm actually home to watch it as it airs this week, so what the hell. Are any of you watching it at all?

    Stranger Than Fiction

Yeah, from what I've been told by people who have seen the movie and read the screenplay, the trailer really doesn't give one the best idea about what the film is really like. Think of Kaufman flicks like Adaptation, Eternal Sunshine, and other flicks with that sort of feel.

    Stranger Than Fiction

I've been excited for this one for over a year. In the industry, screenwriter Zach Helm is known as the next Charlie Kaufman and the screenplay for Stranger Than Fiction is widely regarded as the freshest screenplay in years. I haven't had a chance to read it yet, but I know people who have.

October 30th's Raw thread (number 701!)

It wouldn't shock me to see Slaughter get picked. It just depends on which type of fan votes the most. (and who WWE votes for over and over again)

WCW used to do this back in 1995 and before on Saturday Night. You could pick one face from the face locker room and one heel from the heel locker room.

Is it just me, or does Vince seem off tonight? I don't even mean because of his screw-ups. It's just the way his voice sounds tonight or something.

    Wii

Talk right now is that right before launch, Nintendo is going to let us all in on a surprise about the Wii that no one knows about yet. The word is that it's either that they are also going to have Wiiplay as a pack-in game also, or they'll include two complete controllers with the system. As of right now, the two controllers theory is seeming the most likely.

    WWE announces 2006 DVDs

I always thought the Heenan line was fine also, and went right along with his character and hatred of Hogan. One of my favorite things about Hogan's heel turn was hearing Heenan able to say "I told you so!" once and for all for the next few years. Great, great stuff.
  19. It was stupid for him to be in the position to be busted in the first place, especially since he was the WWE and ECW champ. I'd order that card in a second. Then again, I order every WM, so whatever. They have the chance to put on one hell of a WM in 2007, that's for sure.
  20. I figure we might as well have another thread to talk about this, and only this. I just saw the announcement, so there really isn't much more to say right now. So, there ya go, take it away...
  21. Yeah, the point isn't that he smoked pot. WWE understands that he's into that, and have always known that. I don't even think that's one of the drugs that they test for. Like Mecca said, the issue was that he was stupid enough to do it and get caught by cops, leading to bad press for their world champ, who happened to be holding not one world strap but two. I don't think that they'll hold it against RVD though, and I do expect him to be champ again.
  22. I think some of you might be interested in this, so what the heck. On 12/05/06 they are releasing a director's cut 2-disc set of the Heroes Of World Class DVD. You can pre-order it from DDD for $13.29, and you can pre-order it from Family Video using the $5/off coupon (NEWMEM96, first order only, although you can sign up with a new email over and over if you want) for only $8.48.

    Bully

I'm not even close to as far in the game as I thought I was. I'm at around 20% with 10 hours logged. I've spent a lot of time just fucking around though. I just did the boxing deal, and while I did enjoy it, does it ever get any harder? There wasn't even a second where I was ever in danger, and only got knocked down once. I went through all of the boxing training, or whatever it was, then did the challenge to get the beach house.
