  1. Anyone else here looking forward to this one? I haven't looked forward to a game this much in years and years. I downloaded the demo on Live a few nights ago and I just can't get enough of it. It isn't perfect, and it might get repetitive after a while (based on the demo that is, there's far more to the game than what we see in the demo), but who the fuck cares? It's a bunch of zombies in a mall! Here are a few of the reviews so far: IGN - 8.3 http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/723/723910p1.html GameBrink - 80% http://www.gamebrink.com/xbox-360/1697-Dea...ng-reviews.html 1UP - 84% http://www.1up.com/do/reviewPage?cId=3152674 Team Xbox - 87% http://reviews.teamxbox.com/xbox-360/1203/Dead-Rising/p1/ I can't wait to run around the mall like Mega Man! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v638/the...0_screen027.jpg
  2. I don't see a catch. It's a bundle, for an insane price. It's worth a shot even if it's a price mistake. The worst thing that could happen is that they'll refund the payment back to you. It's worth a try if any of you are on the fence. For what it's worth, two of the games included (Dead Rising and Saint's Row) are the two games that I own right now.
  3. Have you seen the guy work? Is he really as bad as some people say?
  4. Like I said in the SD thread: I've been thinking for a while now that MVP's gimmick should be that he's just not as great as he says he is, not even close. Have him job a few times, maybe even have him act like a goof in the ring, falling down and tripping a bit, that sort of thing. Build it with Teddy Long getting pissed that he even signed him, and every now and then have him make comments about how that's the last time he ever signs someone without watching tapes first. It would be funny if WWE hired the guy to eventually just be a manager, and they are just doing this to introduce him in an interesting way. I was especially happy when Jericho, Eddie, and Benoit (and even Mysterio, if only for a moment) finally won a world title. After watching those guys float from ECW to WCW and finally WWE, and really following their careers while still thinking deep down that they would never be given a shot at the top, it was just cool to finally see them reach that point. That said, if Fit f'n Finlay wins a world title, have it be tonight or at any point in the future, I'll love it that much more. Not only have I followed his career since WCW, and I've loved his work from that period as well as from before WCW when I finally got a chance to check out his older stuff, but he's one of those guys who I didn't even think would ever wrestle again just a year or so ago. Much less wrestle in a WWE ring, being pushed pretty hard, wrestling in a main event, and possibly being given a world title. I never once even imagined Finlay as a world champion, not in WCW and not when he finally popped up in WWE. Not that I don't want to see it, I do and I'd really be into it, but I'm just shocked that they would even tease it, much less possibly do it. Hell, I'm shocked that they are even giving him a title shot at all. Vince McMahon must have totally fallen in love with the guy to give him this chance. Anyway, how many of you are actually ordering this PPV? I can't see it doing much of a buyrate at all. I'm not even going to order it, even with the chance of Finaly winning. If I felt just a bit more confident that he had a shot I'd buy the PPV just to see that live, but I really don't think they'll do that. I see Booker T winning once again. I'll avoid spoilers though and download it tonight or tomorrow. As of right now, this is a five match PPV. I don't count the MVP match simply because they'll more than likely just have him squash someone, Funaki or Scotty. King Booker vs. Finlay vs. Bobby Lashley vs. Batista (World title): Like I said before, I think Booker T will win after a fairly entertaining match, but he'll just barely be able to pick up the win. Honestly, it wouldn't shock me to see Regal and Finaly end up helping Booker T deal with the other two guys in the match. Chavo Guerrero vs. Rey Mysterio (Falls Count Anywhere): Who is going to buy a PPV for this match as well? They've been against one another time after time, and honestly, I haven't been all that into their matches here lately. If they just allowed the two to work a solid match, it could be awesome, but we wont see that. We'll see an overbooked mess with Vickie getting involved over and over again. Chavo will pick up the win after he beats the hell of of Rey, somehow. Maybe someone joins Chavo and Vickie in the beating? Ken Kennedy vs. The Undertaker: Many say that Taker goes over clean, which is why the title isn't on the line. I know that's usually the case, but why in the hell would they put Taker over clean when Kennedy sure as hell needs to win this match? If they don't want Kennedy to go over, somehow, then the match must end with Kennedy beating the shit out of Taker leading to Taker winning by DQ. I don't see Taker going over clean here, not with WWE pretty high on KK right now. I think KK will either win, somehow, or Taker wins, but only by a DQ. Paul London and Brian Kendrick vs. KC James and Idol Stevens (Tag titles): How bad is it when I, one of the guy who actually still watches SD week after week, don't even know the names of two of the guys in the match. I don't think I could have ever told you the names of KC James and Idol Stevens without reading it here. If I don't instantly know them, imagine how well most casual fans do. Most fans more than likely don't even care about the team. I like what I've seen of them, but they really need to get them over more with everyone before sticking them in a title match like this. Then again, who else do they have to stick in there with London/Kendrick at this time? I say London/Kendrick wins, once again. Matt Hardy vs. Greg Helms: This will be the MOTN, and should be given at least 20 minutes. I've really enjoyed their work together so far, and it should be even better with them being in their home state tonight. I say Helms will pick up the win, just 'cause. I think it'll be a really close one though, with close falls aplenty. MVP vs. Mystery Opponent: I really don't give a shit about this. If they decide to push the guy as someone who is talented, then he'll beat Funaki or Scotty. If they decide to go the way with him that I want to see, where he just isn't as great as he claims to be (which should piss off Long and we'll hopefully get some funny moments out of him because of it), then I think Benoit will be the MO and will beat MVP.

  7. WARNING, for some of you some of this might include spoilers. That would only be the case if you are an absolute moron, but still, don't say I didn't warn you, just in case you are indeed an idiot. I saw this tonight, and I didn't really care for it. I'm not going to get into a big thing over it all, so instead I'll just spout off a few quick thoughts: -For one, and this isn't really a spoiler unless you're a complete twat, you never had a reason to cheer for any of the "good guys". If you see this movie, you've seen the one from a few years ago. You know that none of the bad guys will get killed, and you know that all of the good guys in the prequel will get killed off, period. There are a few times in the movie where they try to make you think otherwise, but come on, any asshole is smarter than to fall for any of that. -Because of the above, in order for a prequel to really be effective it needs plenty of nods to the film(s) that came before it. Sure, there are a few things here and there, but not nearly enough to really mean too much for anyone if you ask me. -So with that, we're left with the brutal killings to take up the screen time and to be the focus of the flick, and sadly they just didn't deliver in my opinion. To sum it up, you've already seen this movie, more than once. There isn't anything new to see here at all. -Maybe this is a pointless complaint, and I had this same complaint with the TCM remake. Is it just me, or do they just do a shit job at presenting the years in which the films are based? Even the flashback in this one to 193whatever didn't feel different. It's like both of these movies could be based in 2006 and you'd never know it. Am I just picky? That really gets to me for some reason. -God bless R. Lee Ermey. If there is a reason for any of you guys to check it out, then look no further. I especially loved two of his lines - and If he wasn't in this film, I wouldn't have really cared for it all that much at all. I liked him in this flick enough to recommend it to anyone who is a fan of him. If you guys want to see some mindless uninventive killing with no real rhyme or reason to it, as well with some great moments from R. Lee Ermey, then go for it and check it out. Watch this movie made me feel a little uncomfortable also, and I'm not really even sure why. Maybe because you never had a chance to care for the victims, and you knew for a fact what the fate of everyone involved would be? Even that would have been fine had they decided to do a bit more character development with all involved, and gave you a reason to just care for them as people, and to care for their relationships with one another, but sadly they didn't even provide that much for the audience to hold on to. I didn't hate it, and I could see myself watching it again in the future when I'm looking for something else to stick in my horror routine around Halloween maybe, but it isn't something I'll ever really care for. I'd give it a C- or so. I liked it better than shit like The Ring 2 and The Grudge, for what it's worth. Also, I think it's a safe bet that we're in store for at least one or two new TCM movies. Unless I'm totally mistaken, they have at least three or four years between this flick and the old on, in terms of the actual timeline.

  9. I came into this thread to ask the very same thing. If that wasn't Mike Rotundo then it was someone who looked a hell of a lot like him.

    Guitar Hero.

I got the demo of GH2 in the mail today with my new issue of OPM. I'll play it later tonight.
  11. I know that it doesn't mean anything at all really, but have any of you ever bothered to check this out?

    The Office, Season 3

You know, Jim would be really proud of Michael. I hope we see Michael telling Jim what he did to Dwight sometime soon.

    The Office, Season 3

Here are a few of my lmao moments from this episode: How does watching a movie help? ---- They work faster after. ----Magically? ---- No, they have to to make up for the time that they lost from watching the movie. "What? You were at the dentist?" "I'M GONNA KILL YOU FOR REAL! I'm really going to shoot you!" "I'm just looking." That scene with Michael/Dwight when Dwight comes back was one of the best scenes on the show ever. Every scene of the two together tonight was fantastic, even better than usual if you ask me. "Hug it out bitch."
  14. I seem to remember that also. Can we get a capture of it?

Bible groups plan to protest The Amish murder victims' funerals

She said that they deserved to die because the Amish try to create their own meaning of righteousness. Truth be told, this group believes that anyone not a part of their group and don't share their very strict and insane beliefs, deserves to die a horrible death.

Bible groups plan to protest The Amish murder victims' funerals

I'm sitting here watching the replay of Hannity & Colmes from earlier tonight, and they have one of the assholes from that crazy religious group who protest at funerals, and do the whole "God hates fags" deal on the show. They flat out asked the bitch if the young girls deserved to be killed, DESERVED, and she said yes, of course they did. "They did deserve to die." That's her exact quote. That family, and I do believe it's mainly just one family who are a part of that "church", just makes me sick.

Anyone taping WWE Classics on MSG?

I believe that the last two episodes of this airs tonight. Maybe I'm mixed up, but I'm pretty sure that's the case. I've download all of them, and I'll do the same with these two episodes.

TNA Comments which don't warrant a thread

I don't know if anyone cares, but what the hell. I just bought the Best of AJ Styles DVD and Bound For Glory at a GameStop in the 3 for $10 deal (got the Best of Chris Rock SNL DVD with em). So in the end, after my 10% off discount card, the TNA DVDs and SNL DVD were only $3.17 or so each. I only mention this because when one of these stores have DVDs at a certain price, most other stores do as well. I wouldn't make a special trip, but if you happen to go in one, check out the $5.99/3 for $10 bin. You might find a great deal on the TNA DVDs. From PWInsider:

  21. I also highly recommend giving that interview a listen. He went into how they told him not to use footage of guys working in another company, unless it shows them getting their ass kicked. There are lots of really cool bits in the interview.
  22. Yeah, I've always liked Test in matches like this. Either way, a very fun match tonight.
  23. Oh shit, that chairshot looked brutal.
  24. Well, I've gotta say that I enjoyed that match.
  25. At the very least he'll be a tweener now. I still think it's stupid to do this right now though.
