They should never have Cena on ECW TV. No matter where the SD/ECW tapings are held, Cena will never get the type of reaction that we saw at ONS2 at any ECW taping. You'll have women and young children there to see SD, and we all know what will come from that.
-
Did you just hit 10,000 or is it locked like that? Fuck it, I say have the 3-way tonight instead of the PPV for the WWE title so RVD can go ahead and move on.
-
If they do that week after week we'll just get more bullshit like the SS stuff with HHH that we're now seeing. This angle with RVD needs to end ASAP so that he can stick to ECW TV and only ECW TV.
-
Ok, let Cena win and hold it until SummerSlam, whatever. If I was booking tonight, I'd have RVD come out with Heyman and Bill Alfonso (just because damnit), and all the while RVD would have the WWE spinner belt as well as a new ECW world title.
-
How about a 3-way at Vengeance, and Edge pins Cena while something is going on with RVD so that he isn't pinned? Maybe something huge takes him out or maybe someone from ECW shows up to cause him to lose starting up ECW's main feud.
-
Not only is that obvious now, but isn't that what pretty much EVERYONE thought would happen in the first place?
-
A few off air notes and stuff from PWInsider:
-
Not that it matters at all, but WWE.com still lists Cena as the champ.
-
A rumor is that they are just going to have Roadkill and Danny Doring show up with the tag straps again, since they were the last champs.
-
You seemed pretty excited about ECW after the special, and obviously not so much now. Are you still going to check out the show on Tuesday nights in hopes of "anything" now?
-
Someone just called into LAW and said that his friend was at the show and when the Sabu/Rey spot at the end happened, Rey was complaining that he thought he had broke his arm and that he couldn't continue. He was more than likely working the fans, but wouldn't it be something if even Rey had to be removed from SD from a while?

More from Meanie tonight:
-
Here's what Meanie is up to btw:
-
Except one thing. Weren't reports that this PPV was booked mostly by WWE people. Whereas, thus far, the rumors are Heyman is booking ECW v.3 (V.1 was Eastern, V.2 was Extreme) That's correct, for better or for worse.
-
Again, you're putting it under a microscope yet again. They went wild for Sandman tonight, case closed. Who gives a shit if they have went a little wilder over him in the past? The guy is over with ECW fans, period. Another thing about the SD crowd at ECW TV. I doubt we're going to see anything there like what we saw tonight with the ECW fans tossing Cena's shirt back to him.
-
Why is it like some foregone conclusion that Cena HAD to be booked like that? When has he EVER been booked like that? He's usually always in the position RVD was in tonight. Cena's almost always the face as well.
-
Come the fuck on now. You said that the PPV blew, just because of the main event. Then you mention music and no "big surprises". If that isn't getting petty, then I don't know what is. There was plenty of good on the PPV tonight, period, regardless of the finish of the last match. I admit the finish wasn't great, but we already knew that we'd get something fucked up, so get over it already.
-
I don't understand how some of you can even watch wrestling and ever enjoy it when you also put every little thing under a microscope.
-
Exactly, RVD wasn't beat up the entire match at all. Hell, in the chat people kept saying it was more 50/50, with Cena getting the upperhand more near the end. That's to be expected though, since CENA WAS THE HEEL. It is to be expected that Cena will beat up RVD only for RVD, the face, to come back to actually win the match. I'm more pissed that Balls/Tanaka didn't go longer than it did than I am over anything else, but even that's understandable. How could that match really follow what came before it?
-
Don't get crazy, the PPV didn't blow or suck. There was some hot action on the card, a few holy shit moments, a very live crowd, etc... It wasn't the best show ever, and it wasn't what this show should have been overall, but it didn't suck. Yes it sucks that we don't have the old music, and yes the finish of RVD/Cena wasn't that great (come on though, we have all been talking for weeks that we'd get something like this since there was no way in hell that RVD would win clean). If anything we should be glad that RVD actually left the show the WWECW champ, that's more than what most of us thought would happen anyway.
-
The ECW build is odd. We have highs then lows then highs then lows, over and over again. The next thing to worry about, like I've mentioned a few times already, is the crowd at ECW TV. As we saw tonight, much of the "feel" comes from the crowd reaction. What's going to happen when they tape ECW TV in front of a normal Smackdown crowd, full of mainly normal WWE type of fans?
-
How about wwecwons2 for the AIM chat?
-
The word is that Dawn Marie has been talking to TNA about going there pretty soon, so don't expect her to show up either.
-
I'm not even sure if I'd debut too many of the new people tonight. Maybe one, Punk, but that's about all that I'd do with that situation tonight, if even him. I'd save most of the new guys for the ECW TV.

More backstage notes from PWInsider: -The "Manager Of Champions" Bill Alfonso, is backstage at the Hammerstein Ballroom and will take part in ECW One Night Stand tonight. The "man who calls it right down the middle" is scheduled to manage both Sabu and Rob Van Dam in their respective title matches tonight on the show. -Also, Big Guido of the FBI is backstage, and will accompany Little Guido & Tony Mamaluke for their match against Yoshihiro Tajiri & Super Crazy. -And for those curious, Atlas Security, the legendary team that handled crowds for the original ECW (and last year's One Night Stand), will once again be used for tonight's show, which should help in creating the "ECW vibe" for the show.
