Once upon a time, that's exactly what they did with the old SNME shows. They also did it on RAW throughout the 90's, which also worked. Since they lost They Rock and Austin, they've really been stuck. They either haven't had anyone who could carry the company like that, or when they have had people with that ability, they don't pull the trigger on them. Kurt Angle should be the Hogan/Rock/Austin of this time, but he's not presented in that strong of a light, and it fucking puzzles me why they've never treated him like those big time guys. This show could have been built around Angle/Taker, with HHH/Cena rounding out the "big time feel". Steve Austin needs to stay away from WWE from now on, only returning to actually take part in one of the few big matches he has left in him (vs. Goldberg, Hogan). When I see him on TV now, doing this same exact thing, it's just pathetic at this point.

The high point of the show to me was Foley busting out the old school fucking psycho Cactus Jack facial expression.

It's also World Wrestling Entertainment ya know. Not to mention that WWE apparently believes that the word "Entertainment" in their name means something along the lines of subpar programming or overdone rehashes. That said, I didn't hate this show. I don't think it was what it should have been - what it needed to be.

They could use the casket that Taker built for Yokozuna back in the day.

Since when did they they add breast implants to the list of banned substances? I think it's talking about hair dye.
-
They should be having WWE guys doing some of those old "The More you Know" promos.

I hate Cena more than most posters here, but I loved that finish. I really enjoyed that opening match.

Holy shit are they booing Cena or what.

This is making me actually notice how much I've missed JR on RAW.

So is this the OAO thread? I love this opening.

http://www.zap2it.com/tv/news/zap-officeon...ap-tv-headlines Co-workers will star in web-only episodes March 16 2006 Angela Kinsey, Oscar Nunez and Brian Baumgartner on 'The Office' LOS ANGELES -- Just like in real life, some of the cast from "The Office" won't a whole lot of time off this summer. NBC is planning to shoot 10 online-only "webisodes" of its critically acclaimed comedy to air during the offseason. The new material will bring some of the show's supporting players front and center as the Dunder Mifflin accounting staff searches for a stash of cash that's gone missing from the Scranton office. Angela (Angela Kinsey), Kevin (Brian Baumgartner) and Oscar (Oscar Nunez) will lead the search for the missing money, with no one above suspicion. The web episodes will also feature "Office" regulars Rainn Wilson, Melora Hardin, Phyllis Smith, Leslie David Baker, Kate Flannigan and David Denman. A debut date for the online episodes, which will stream at NBC.com, hasn't been set. "The Office" has been a big part of NBC's efforts to attract viewers through non-traditional outlets. The network webcast an episode on MySpace prior to its premiere last year, and the show has been one of NBC's more popular downloads on Apple's iTunes. The show has seen its ratings grown since it and "My Name Is Earl" made the move from Tuesday to Thursday nights in January. Since the switch, "The Office" has drawn about 8.7 million viewers per week and a 4.5 rating in the adults 18-49 demographic NBC prizes. The 18-49 number is a 22 percent improvement over its Tuesday average; viewers are up about 12 percent since the move.

Wasn't this his look when he first started to wrestle years ago? I actually marked out when Animal "won" just then. That interview with the three guys from before was the shits, wow.

A snake on a plane! This movie is going to end up being one of the all time great classic cult films, period. I'll be there on opening night.

From PWInsider:

On a PWInsider audio today, the guys say that we're seeing guys like Palumbo and (more than likely) Test making their returns because they want some natural "big guys" on the roster. The reason for that, is because of the new drug testing policy. Since some guys are going to be getting a bit smaller, they want to have these other big guys like Palumbo and Test to return, to fill the gaps that'll be left in the big man category. If that's true, I think we'll be seeing A-Train pretty soon also. They also said that Jindrak will more than likely be back soon as well.

Chef + Scientology + Mr. Slave + Lemmiwinks + Cartman = Gold?

The West Texas Rednecks say hello!

So where would you rank that first half of the first hour in RAW history?
-
Well just when the hell do you expect them to have the contract signings then? Backstage in an office? Sheesh.

That HHH guy sucks, holdin' guys back and shit.
