Hasn't Orton already beat Slaughter more than once?

I like how the guy we said should be Bowser is the guy that came out to crush Marella.
-
Well that was certainly a trainwreck.

Looks to me like Cena has a little sand in his vagina.

WWE General Discussion for July 2007
Downhome replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in The WWE Folder
I believe he's working down in Florida Championship Wrestling, WWE's other development group that replaced DSW. -
I love this movie, but it's been a while since I've seen it. As far as I'm concerned it's a modern sci-fi classic, even if very underrated by so many people. The only reason I don't own it is because I've never been able to find the widescreen version for cheap, and also because I keep expecting a new special edition, but it never comes. Did you find a WS version?

WWE General Discussion for July 2007
Downhome replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in The WWE Folder
I posted this in the OVW thread I started in the other folder, but I'll stick it here as well: The Next Generation Hart Foundation: Coming out to the old music is awesome, Nattie is so cute, Harry Smith seems to not have found his niche in OVW yet (I've seen his work before OVW and he was great) but he's getting there, and Teddy Hart is Teddy Hart. I've always liked his work, but we all know the deal with him. Here's a picture of the group: By the way, when I see Teddy Hart I can't help but be reminded of Kwee-Wee from WCW: -
Oh yeah, the quality isn't even close to what it used to be, but it's not horrible in my opinion. Just a few random thoughts: -Cody shows way more passion and intensity in OVW than what we've seen from him in WWE so far. Even so, however, he looks small even in OVW. -Johnny Nitro was on the July 14th episode, and again, he seemed way better on the mic, way more relaxed, and more like "himself". -In that same episode they had a diva "yo mama jokes" contest. WTF? Well, at least it had AAE so, that was a huge plus. -I can't believe what they've done to Roadkill. I already knew that he he had a new look, but I totally forgot about it. I saw him in an episode or two here, and it wasn't until the third one that it hit me, and I had to look it up to make sure it was him. He's like an Earthquake Jr. now or something -The Next Generation Hart Foundation: Coming out to the old music is awesome, Nattie is so cute, Harry Smith seems to not have found his niche in OVW yet (I've seen his work before OVW and he was great) but he's getting there, and Teddy Hart is Teddy Hart. I've always liked his work, but we all know the deal with him. -I really like the group that Colt Cabana is part of, with Atlas DaBone and Aaron Stevens. -Festus seems horrible, just as I expected, but I guess we'll see what they do with him on WWE TV. -I love the new look for Paul Burchall, so hopefully we'll see him in WWE once again. That guy could be huge if they'd actually give him the right push. -Vladimir Kozlov seems, well, not that great all, but I do like the character. -What in the world is up with the angle where Kenny Bolin sent off his DNA to make a clone of himself, and something screwed up and he ended up with a midget version of himself named Mini-B instead? I liked The James Boys, but good God, do they really need to be involved with such a stupid angle? By the way, when I see Teddy Hart I can't help but be reminded of Kwee-Wee from WCW:

Well, the pilot for Cavemen hit the internet a few days ago. Have any of you actually watched it yet?

And I thought Pandora.com was a great music site. Thanks for this link.

Bound for Glory taking place in Atlanta
Downhome replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in TNA Wrestling
That's not even an hour and a half away from me, so I just might go as well. How much do TNA PPV tickets usually go for? -
That looks so incredibly awesome. If you ask me, 2008 is going to be a great year for comic book movies.

So I went to a pawn shop yesterday and they actually had a used Wii. It was nothing different than what you'd see in a normal retail store, only this one was used. Just the system, the two controllers, stand, sensor bar, and Wii Sports. Wanna guess how much they were asking for the used package, the same thing you would have to pay $250 for in a normal retail store if you bought it new?

All of that bullshit only happened after Eddie died, and they didn't have a choice but to do something at the time. Had Eddie not died, Kurt and Joey would more than likely still be working in WWE, and we wouldn't have seen all of those suspensions that we saw last year. WWE doesn't really give a shit right now, they just did all of that to cover their ass, and then when enough of time went by, they once again just seemingly started to not give a shit again...until the Chris Benoit issue started. And anyway, even with Kurt and Joey, of course WWE could be to blame, at least in part, if anything happened to either guy. Both worked for WWE, before Eddie's death. And sure, reports say that they did fire Kurt and Joey because of drugs and the such, but what exactly does that matter? In the end, we all know why they really did it, and it wasn't because WWE all of a sudden started to really care. Hell, WWE is just as guilty of signing guys who are either obviously on drugs of some sort, or who were very much known to be on shit all throughout their career. Jeff Hardy is one of the most recent ones. I believe one of his biggest problems in TNA is that he was seemingly fucked up so often. I don't think WWE or Vince is going to go down here either, but I do think that they're going to be forced to make some changes, changes that go beyond punishing someone who fails a drug test by not paying them...but still requiring them to work every week. -

Not nearly as well as it used to, unless over the past six months or so things have went back to how they used to be. The Japanese wrestling has been going through something of a down period as well unless I'm mistaken. I hate, hate, hate WWE's response to that list, by saying that only five guys or whatever were signed to WWE contracts at the time of their death. That doesn't mean shit at all, other than to sound like some sort of defense. How many of them were in WWE at the highest point of their careers? Most of the people on the list had a run in WWE at one point or another, most peaked in WWE, and for most of the guys I'd say that many of the problems that eventually led to many of their deaths started once they were in WWE. I know that WWE has to say something in defense, but still, it just sounds so stupid to me. I don't think WWE is going to just get away this time without major changes. They got away in the early 90's, this isn't the first round of this bullshit. Then again, I could be wrong and in a year from now Vince could be back on TV bragging about how he beat the United States government, again. -
I saw it. I loved it. It kicked ass. It was funny, it had heart, and it was The Simpsons. What more could I ask for? I could go on and on. This is going to end up as one of my most rewatched movies of all time.

I would love a FPW game for the Nintendo DS...with online play.

You've gotta watch it. If you thought RE4 looked great, this is way better. This is the sort of thing everyone meant when they've said "next gen graphics" for this group of systems. And wow, that's a huge hoard of people as well. And not that I care, but seriously...I can't believe they've made a game where a white guy goes around running from, and killing, rabid, murderous black people. It's a non-issue for me, but you know good and well that sooner or later someone is going to really cause a stir over it. If only we could have Wii controls with those graphics.
-
Awesome, I can't wait to play RE5: Hate Crimes! Seriously though, if I decide to buy the 360 version, it's going to take alot for me to get used to playing a RE game on anything other than the Wii. Here's a much better version of the trailer.

If true, this is my favorite video game news in a long, long time. I have the GBA versions of the game, and I have FPD for the Dreamcast, but I've never bothered to mod my PS2 or anything like that. Here is the link to the thread at the FPC board. I emailed the guy, and he said that it will be for the PS2. I also did an online search for the email address, and it does indeed look totally legit.

WWE General Discussion for July 2007
Downhome replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in The WWE Folder
He's set to show up back in ECW any week now, possibly with a new look and gimmick. -
It's sitting at 83% at RottenTomatoes right now with 53 reviews counted, 44 fresh, 9 rotten. It looks like they've got a winner here. I predict that it'll do $60+ million for the opening weekend, possibly quite a bit more.
