I can't actually decide if I want to go to Best Buy or Wal-Mart to pick this up. Best Buy: $51.99 will be the price once it isn't on sale, the "normal" price. $42.99 will be the price for this coming week. I also right out asked them about the Madden coupon book. I told them that most have no idea what it's about, but that if the coupon is for real, as we all know it is, that it should tell them once they scan the coupon. They agreed, and told me to just have the cashier scan the coupon, explain to them about the system having the right information in it, and that the 20% off WILL apply to this item also. $34.40 + tax seems like a deal to me. Wal-Mart: My Wal-Mart also told me that they have it marked as $44.99 right now, but their price will be a few bucks less than that once it hits the shelf. WalMart ALSO told me that they are putting them out at 12am in about twelve hours, and once they do that they'll have the exact price and everything up. I'll be calling WalMart at 12am or so and asking for sure if they have it put out, and if they do, I might just get it there...mainly because Best Buy is about an hour away from me.

Shaun of the Dead: Zombies, gore, jokes...
Downhome replied to Downhome's topic in Television & Film
A quick bump in case anyone is interested in reading this before they go see this on Friday. -
I wouldn't be so sure about that. After all I've heard the guy say about this, for some reason I really believe that he means it. I even doubt we'll see a brand new DVD set released with all six Star Wars flicks. If anything they'll release the upcoming original trilogy in the exact same way along with a new box set of the first three. This is all talking about DVD though. Lucas is already in the process of putting everything together for Star Wars on the next video format, and even that is said to be the new "updated" versions. The guy has said time and time again that he doesn't care what the fans say, and that these are HIS films and he only wants the version that he intended to make to start with available. He said recently in another interview that if you want the original versions, then you should just keep your VHS copies. I'm not saying we wont ever see the originals. I'm just saying that if I had to bet one way or another, I'd go with the orignals being forgotten by Lucas, and these new versions becoming what is available from here on out.

All I know is that one of the better theaters in my area is playing Shaun. I'll be there on openeing night for sure, even though I watched the film months ago on a VCD that I burned myself. It's going to be so awesome seeing this on the big screen.
-
This is the only version of the films that will ever be made available as far as George Lucas is concerned...yes it's the "updated" versions. I can see the originals going the way of the Star Wars Holiday Special...Lucas wanting to just forget about them.
-
I'll pick it up as soon as I can on Tuesday.

I saw this at DVDTalk, but thought I'd post it here also. I already took advantage of the Friday the 13th collection box set, total for me was $28.34. Here are some deals that we know of. Friday the 13th Collection box set - $26 Looney Tunes Golden Collection Vol. 2 - $29 SCTV Network 90 Vol. 1 - $29 SCTV Vol. 2 - $23 For the preorders, just go in and ask them if you can preorder it. Make sure you get a reciept, to make sure you actually get these items at these prices once they are in stock. For special orders on things that are already released, but the store does not have in stock just go in, tell them what you want to order, and pay for it in full. Before you leave make sure they give you both a reciept and your copy of the special order form. I already picked up SCTV Vol. 1 through this, so it does work, and like I said before, I just now preorderd the 13th box set. There is no telling what other misprices that BBV has in their system also. I do know that Seinfeld isn't one of them though, so no deal for that one. Sincerely, ...Downhome...

It's real actors, but much of the acting was done in front of a screen.

I've never watched a Harry Potter moive, but I do plan on buying them, and I've NEVER watched an entire episode of reality TV, other than Fear Factor (does that count?).

I know it's cliche to scream "Jericho this and Jericho that", but the fact is that he IS a superstar just waiting to bust totally out. The guy could be huge, just huge, if they allowed it to happen. Even if he doesn't get a push though, he still at least has that feeling of a superstar, while Orton just doesn't. To me Orton "feels" like a midcarder, or less. Again, it's nothing against him, I like the guy, but that's what he feels like to me. Heck, Benoit feels more like a superstar to me than Orton does. I could list any number of guys who feel like a superstar over Orton. I know no one will agree with me, but in MY eyes all of the following feel more like a superstar than Orton. I can't really place why I think like this, but here you go anyway. Maybe it has to do with his age or his young look? Batista Edge Chris Benoit Chris Jericho Kane Shelton Benjamin HBK HHH Ric Flair William Regal Christian

I think it's obvious that Orton isn't the big hot thing that they wanted him to be based on his reactions at live shows alone. I can't remember the last time a main event angle has recieved such little of a reaction. I mean, I even like Randy Orton, but I can admit when something isn't flying like they thought it would. When I see Randy Orton, I don't see a world champ or even a contender. I see a guy who would be lucky be have the IC strap right now, if even that. He is a nobody to me right now, he simply isn't a superstar yet. Then again, there are few superstars in WWE right now anyway, it's not just Orton. There are just too few guys who have that superstar feel to them. Why the hell should anyone give a damn about Orton?

If I can't get into a game after an evening of playing it, I just toss it aside. I've already sold it for $41, been paid for, and then shipped it to some guy from GameTZ. I actually ended up making money off of it though, seeing how the games that I traded for it at Blockbuster wouldn't even have gotten me that much had I just sold them straight up. I'm pretty pleased with everything...except for the game. I'll end up buying it back after it goes down to $20 or less, maybe I'll be more up for it then. For now though I'll just get Viewtiful Joe, Def Jam, GTA SA, and Smackdown vs. RAW.

If this is true: I love this news more than I can put into words. I love hearing Tony Schiavone at the table, to me he's one of the best. I know many people hate him for various things, but much of it wasn't even his fault, aka being told what to specificly say. I've been a fan of his for years, and I'm a fan of his when he does the Atlanta Braves post-shows. Putting him with JR could be great, and could also change the feel of the show a bit having someone new calling the action.
-
I don't even know what that is.

I can't, in good faith, reccomend this to all Xbox owners, even though I wanted to be able to before I had it. It's an ok game, but in my opinion it's one of the biggest letdowns ever.

I don't know if this will mean anything to anyone here or not. From Fangoria's website: GOZU Goes to Video Release in the US Pathfinder Pictures has announced that it will release Takashi Miike’s memorably bizarre horror film GOZU to DVD November 23. The disc will include a 16x9-enhanced widescreen transfer and a host of extras, including: • Audio commentary by film critics Andy Klein and Wade Major • A one-hour roundtable interview with Miike, film critic Darren Gross and directors Guillermo del Toro and Eli Roth (portions of which can be read here and here • A one-hour featurette featuring on-set footage, actor interviews and Miike at the Cannes film festival for GOZU’s screening there • Film notes by AGITATOR: THE CINEMA OF TAKASHI MIIKE author Tom Mes • Still gallery Those who want to catch GOZU on the big screen prior to owning the disc should go to the Pathfinder link above for a list of theatrical playdates. Pathfinder Home Video’s upcoming slate also includes three more Miike titles—YAKUZA DEMON (KIKOKU), ANDROMEDIA and WHITE-COLLAR WORKER KINTARO, along with JU-RAI: THE UNCANNY, a supernatural chiller by director Koji Shiraishi about high-school girls terrorized and slaughtered by a mysterious black-hooded figure. That disc streets October 26. —Michael Gingold

Well, I'm just not feeling this game right now. I've been playing it on and off for hours, but something about it just isn't clicking to me. It's not a bad game or anything though, it's actually quite good for the most part. I guess I'm just not in the mood to play it right now. Zelda, this is not.
-
Well I have the game now. I'm going to play it for a while then I'll post a few initial thoughts on it.

Well when you see a topic called "Jomie Noble released from WWE" I think it's usually a failry safe bet that it is about that topic, and not full of spoilers for a future TV show.
-
By the way, yes I hate that Noble has been released as he was one of my personal favorites on SD. Whenever he had a match I really looked forward to it, I always have. Out of all of the smaller guys, he was up near the top of my list of guys I serisouly didn't think WWE would release like this.
-
I can't believe this, it would have been a very shocking thing to actually, you know, see and hear about for the first time on SD.
-
Let me gusess..Smackdown Spoilers. Way to go guys.

What the bloody hell~!? WWE is bringing back Viscera and Gangrel???
