    Spiderman 2

Yeah, it's all just great. It's not a perfect game though as I've had a few problems with movement (not webslinging, that's a breeze) and the graphics can be almost ugly at times, but the gameplay and simply the entire concept of the game more than makes up for the faults. Over time I'm sure I'll get very bored of the side missions that we have here. You just do the same type of things over and over and over again. Sure, you can just fly around the city all you want for as long as you want, but you MUST play these side missions at times in order to progress through the game. So far it hasn't been that much of a problem, but just mark my words...over time, you will all get bored of those side missions. I'm three hours in, and I've already done this and that about as much as I'd like to, heh. After three hours of play, I'd give it a 9.0 so far.
  2. Since WWE raised the price of the webcasts, I now refuse to order these small PPVs on the net for the same price as those you would get on TV, so I didn't order it. I have however ignored all wrestling related sites, etc... since Sunday. I downloaded the GAB and just finished watching it. If WWE wants to raise the price of the PPVs, then screw em, I'll just watch them for free now a day or two later. I know that no one here actually likes it, but for what it's worth, I predicted that Bradshaw would be WWE World Champion one day years ago, when he was still in the APA. I didn't think it would be right now, since the first of this year I started saying that it would happen in 1-2 years, so it just happened a bit early. I still can't believe it, him holding up that title was just so insane, just one of those moments that you never thought you'd actually see...not REALLY, even if you thought it might happen one day, for better or for worse. I'm perfectly ok with it also. It's not like SD means anything at this point in time, so what the hell. Try something new like this, see what happens, and if it fails it fails, whatever. Most people here don't watch SD anyway, so it's not like it really effects too many posters here, except in the way that they simply have to now say that Bradshaw IS indeed a WWE World Champion. Aside from that one very odd moment on the PPV, the rest was just blah blah blah, most of which would make for even a subpar SD. I got it for free, so I wont complain much. I will say one more thing though. The two main things that happened on the PPV...Taker "killing" Paul Bearer and Bradshaw winning the world title, it has people talking. People that I know that haven't really been watching SD or WWE period are now telling me that they are interested in seeing what happens next, just because it all is just so odd. That could be a good thing or a bad thing, I don't know. But I do know that people are at least talking, around me anyway. This still wasn't the worst PPV ever to me either, it just wasn't that good, or even average. I've seen everying PPV since PPV started up, and there have been plenty of shows worse off than this one.

    Spiderman 2

I picked this game up today also. I traded the POS known as Showdown: Legends of Wrestling for it actually. Spider-Man 2 is just great, I've been having a blast with it since I started playing it.
  4. Two things. 1) What is the quality of the download? 2) Where is the link to download it?

The OAO Showdown: Legends of Wrestling Thread!

I have already traded Showdown back in at Blockbuster, and picked up Spider-Man 2 instead. That game is about a million times better than Showdown, ugh. I just hope that I can now block Showdown out of my memory.

    Spider-Man 2 for XBox

It was listed at around $600 or so earlier today.

    Megaman collection

I bought this game today also when I picked up Showdown and Psi-Ops (look for my thoughts on Psi-Ops soon, soooo freaking good that game is), but I haven't even put it into my system yet, heh.
  8. My God I love Taker, heh. I loved that match. That was the best SD in some time in my opinion.

The OAO Showdown: Legends of Wrestling Thread!

The more I play it, the more faults and bugs that I find in it, thus THE MORE IT'S MAKING ME FUCKING HATE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There are times where you are on one side of the ring, your opponent on the other side, and you press a button but it just doesn't do anything at all, with the reason being that your opponent has entered in a command for a move, which goes into effect without you even being CLOSE to them, which can lead to some very cheap ass wins...simply because there is nothing you can do about it when that bullshit happens.

The OAO Showdown: Legends of Wrestling Thread!

Wow, Bobby Heenan just told Jake "The Snake" Roberts, that was great. Have any of you heard him say that Jake is such a sad story, and that he needs to get cleaned up and get his act together? Overall, I like this game right now, but it will wear very thin, very quickly. I'll play it to death for a while, then tire of it, and trade it in for something else in the next few weeks or whatever. All in all it's an ok game, but with WAY too many glitches, bugs, and just bad aspects. I'll post more soon.

The OAO Showdown: Legends of Wrestling Thread!

I broke down and bought the game today, but only because my brother paid half of it for me just because he wanted to try it out, so it ended up costing me only $21 or so. I'll post my thoughts on it throughout the day or something like that.
  12. Let's just let sex addiction be.
  13. I agree with that post in every way Parka, I couldn't agree with you more. It's almost like ADD is an "in" thing what with so many kids being told that they have it, when it's just an excuse for other problems.
  14. Oh don't get me wrong, I'm not going to have a party over this and celebrate, I don't think it's a "good" thing in any way, just like it's horrible when people get addicted to certain things, it's always sad to see people cross that certain line. I just don't really care, seeing how more than likely there was this point in their life where they let go, and allowed it to happen in a way, even though they didn't mean to. I understand why it happens though, and that's what makes me really feel bad. There is obviously so much pressure on kids these days to be thin, etc... I have a 13 year old niece who is very thin, and is just the perfect size and everything yet she buys all of these various magazines and sees all of these other people, and over the last year she has started calling herself fat, etc... I'm sure that if even she doesn't put that into check, it could end up creating a problem over time.
  15. So if someone allows this to happen, then why should we really care? I feel the same way about this, if it IS true that the actual "disease" stems from their own doing to start with, as I do about people who start out drinking/smoking, and totally ignore what can happen when you dive into stuff like that really hard, and end up getting killed or killing someone else. She may not be able to control herself now, and may not be able to get herself to eat, but it's her own fucked up self that allowed her to get to that point. Some people are so weak that I just can't stand to have sympathy for. Again, if it doesn't stem from someone allowing it to happen in the first place, all of the above is totally mute.
  16. Since no one said anything in response to my previous message, I'll say it again. I just want some sort of clarification on it one way or another. Doesn't this start out though as one just with a fucked up view on how they should look, which leads to them acting more and more like a moron in terms of not eating, and eventually it just takes them over? That's just what I've always thought, which is why I have little to no sympathy for people like this.

That's exactly what I expect most everyone else to do also, after spending a little more time with the game. I'll wait to buy it untill the price is lowered. I'd be willing to bed I can buy one from someone used at a pretty good price pretty soon.

If you either do not care about film enough or just do not understand just how much of a difference and how important it can be to see the film as it was intended to be viewed, then we might as well just stop this right now.

    Star Wars DVD's

You don't need to know any rumors. It'll be a film with high expectations by most, and almost all of those guys will be pissed off after they see it. I just wish that Lucas wasn't directing it.

I wonder if we'll see a "super-duper" box set be released next year, or whenever, with all six of the Star Wars movies released.

If you don't understand something, and are just talking out of your ass, it's best to just keep your mouth shut. It's not a matter of opinion, it's a matter of understanding what you are talking about. That's what.

I wish people who just didn't understand this would just keep shut on the topic, I really do.
