You mean someone has played an N-Gage long enough to find out the battery life?

Exactly, that is what I miss. Alot.

And stuff like what I was talking about bothers me, so tough cookies. People were talking about how they liked the shows, and would like to own them. Coming in and basicly going "I don't see why you guys care about this, I don't care about these releases" is nothing more than a bait if you ask me. If he instead came and said why he didn't understand why we were excited, or just something, then it would be cool, but he didn't. Enough of this bullshit though, let's get back on topic.

    The Chronicles of Riddick

ESotSM still isn't a good example. The number doesn't look that great, but it actually is. It made money, something most films don't seem to be able to do. It was a huge success considering everything. I'm sure those involved were very pleased with it.

    The Chronicles of Riddick

Yeah, Take Eternal Sunshine for example. That's not a good example. While ESotSM didn't do great at the BO, it made all of it's money back and made a profit, and continues to make money worldwide to this day. ESotSM did better than most films do here lately as a whole.

I like these shows because we still got good matches now and then, just as today, but mainly because the shows back then seemed so much more important than they do today. Oh how I wish we could go back in time and bring that to this era.

    Oh shit, oh shit

I meant it as a joke, so lighten up. But now, now I'm not so sure. People here are having their fun with some classic PPVs and you come up out of nowhere speaking out. If you can't add anything to the topic, or have no interest in these like the rest of us, then just go on your way.

If they're anything like the others (which I'm sure they are), they're barebones. That's fine, I was just wondering. How much do these go for anyway? Now that I know my DVD player would play them, I might pick them up.

Is anything else on these sets, or is it straight up just the PPV as it aired?

The first game for the PSP looks awesome though.
  13. IGN gave it a 6.5, mainly because there just isn't much to it and it's very short. What is there however, they said was pretty cool. Just like the film though, this game could have, SHOULD have, been a classic.

My God what a Bridging German Suplex.
  16. I see that most hated it, and with good reason. Like I said before, I expected a film like The Mummy, and it's what we got. The monsters in Van Helsing are not the Universial classics, just new takes on them. This film, the concept, could have been unreal and very very good. Instead, we got what we all expected. Bah, I don't even have too much to say about it. Hole after hole, sloppy, and uninspired.

You are correct sir. That's exactly what his docs told him.
  18. Same here. I'd pay for DVDTalk maybe, and maybe StraightDope.

    A note on spoilers

We've have rules, and they've worked perfectly fine. Posting spoilers are not allowed, period. There as a short period where a couple of people would do so in topic titles, that was pointed out and dealt with, and it hasn't been a problem since then. A new problem came up where people were posting spoilers IN the OAOSD thread, and as before, that should be pointed out and dealt with. The only fair solution is to just tell people not to post spoilers in the SD thread. That's been an unwritten rule among all of the posters who post in that thread, and almost everyone has respected one another and didn't post spoilers for those in the USA. It's not even a huge problem. Those who did spoil stuff for other people in that thread didn't seem to do it on purpose, and after people called them out on it they didn't do it again. Just tell people not to, and that'll be the end of it. I don't understand what you are trying to say using the above. Saying that Jackie was Chavo's opponent WAS a spoiler, it happened on the tapings. Of course something like that shouldn't be allowed, it's a blatant spoiler and shouldn't be allowed. If it was on Tuesday morning however, and a "report" came out going "We are hearing that Chavo's opponent might be Jackie", then that should be perfectly fine. It hasn't actually taken place yet at a taping or a show. How many times have stupid rumors like that actually not come true? Ladder match anybody? That is not a spoiler, nothing is, unless it's taken place already. Everything else is just rumors. If you want to "make things safe", there there is ONE simple answer. Whenever people want to talk about rumors and the such for things that are going to happen in the future, just have the threads be called "HHH's opponent for the next PPV is rumored to be..." or "The main event for Bad Blood". As I said, this isn't complicated. The mod team here, over the past few months (since Dames left), has been trying WAY to hard to do little things here and there. Making it much harder than this is. I love that you guys are trying to make this place "better" I really do. Like I said though, you are making a much bigger deal out of everything. We've got along for years with no worry about rumors of all things. The only other option, one that I've ALWAYS been for, is to have the WWE folder with sub-folders. One for general discussion and another for news and rumors. The SAME spoiler rules would still apply however, meaning flat out spoilers (as I said, I'm talking about things that have already taken place and has not aired yet) are NOT allowed in topic titles. That way we have a place for people to talk about the going ons on TV, things that we've seen take place, etc... and then we have another place to toss the rumors and news of the day/week/whatever around. The spoiler rule would still apply to both folders because some people want to talk about rumors, like myself and many others, yet not actually read spoilers of things that have actually taken place. What exactly would be so wrong with that idea? It sounds to me like the perfect compromise for everyone involved.

    A note on spoilers

Tom, I understand perfectly, but he's making this much harder than it should be. Something that a few mods seem to want to do over these past few months. It isn't rocket science to run a message board. Talking about rumors isn't a spoiler. It's what the majority of people are here to talk about. Go into just about any thread, and you'll see people quoting various websites mentioning a "rumor" from one of the main news sources. I'll bite my tongue untill I see a problem with the rules actually take place. Thanks for leaving this up to discussion however. It's much better than just doing it and demanding it of people.

Is the board being messed with?

I'm all for doing away with accounts that are not used, it's a great idea. I'm just against Dames doing it, heh. So is he "back" for good now?

    A note on spoilers

Oh yeah, everyone should be able to talk about rumors as much as they like without having to dance around the issue like morons. You are on the internet, this is where you read about rumors concerning what might and might not happen. It's been that way since the start, and it should continue to be that way. Unless it's confirmed and it's SAID to happen, then it should be game to talk about it without dancing around it.

Is the board being messed with?

Dames is fine as long as he doesn't try to sort out the members who don't post anymore again.

    A note on spoilers

I concur. Seriously though, I personally find it totally moronic that you are TELLING people to avoid the SD thread. People should have the sense to understand that those in the US are an hour behind watching the show, and should just hold their thoughts on what they see, untill we've seen it also. The SD thread is already slow as hell. The last thing you need to do is to tell people to avoid that thread now. A spoiler is a spoiler, and the above shouldn't be allowed just as it shouldn't be allowed for someone to start a topic on Wednesday containing a SD spoiler in the topic title.
  25. Now that I think about it, this film shouldn't get some sort of free ticket for being just a brainless action film. We're talking about Van Helsing, Dracula, Frankenstein, and The Wolfman all in the entire film. If anything, this should be one of the greatest horror flicks ever, showing the horror of the three main monsters while also showing their inner struggles. Instead this will be a "me good you bad me kill you good" type of thing, and that's just sad. For now, I leave you with this quote. I still wish that this film would prove me wrong later today though.
