I've never seen an episode of CYE. Would any of you mind telling me what exactly the show is about?
-
That's Hogan AND Savage vs. 234 guys in a cage.

I thought Superstar refused to have a part in this whole thing. Or am I thinking of someone else?

How much is every PPV from December 93 to December 2000? Then take that, ad maybe six PPVs over the next two years, then from December 2002 to this very day, add about four normal PPVs and about 10 webcasts. Then you'll have my total.

That sounds like a great time. Is this all really going to be on the DVD?

The webcast pre-show starts at 5:30EST.

That's because that is how we think when we order stuff. But I have spent enough time around marks over the years, including to this day, to know that they care only about the top 2 or 3 matches/feuds and that's about it. Now the midcard is important for building new stars, and keeping them from getting bored, but it doesn't draw them in. No, I don't mean people order for the buildup of the midcard and everything. From my experiances over the years, I've just found that even if they love who is in the main event, if they don't care about the storyline that the guy is involved in and what's actually going on in the story, they wont order the PPV. To me it's all about the storylines and angels when talking about PPV buys.

Ok, SNL tonight already blows MadTV out of the water. A ferret biting a crotch is > MadTV ANYTIME.
-
Ewww. But anyways, I agree that tonights show wasn't that good. Not a good one to show to someone who doesn't watch either. I've never liked MadTV period, for the most part. So tonight is that much worse on me.
-
I would take SNL on it's worst day, over this mess of a show.
-
They have TBS, Eddie, and Jericho on the show and THAT is the material they are given to work with? This show is worthless.

Why in the hell do all of these "skits" seem to go on forever?

To those that have ever watched a PPV Webcast...
Downhome replied to Astro7x's topic in The WWE Folder
I've watched just about every webcast for over a year. I think in that time I've only seen 2-3 on TV. I've only had one problem in all of that time, but it was only because it was one of those times I used the password from a board where hundreds of people were trying to use it, thus one of them screwed everything up by typing the information wrong. Out of the oens that I've ordered myself, around nine or so, I've never had a probelm. The sound is fine, and the visual is as good as can be expected for a webcast of any sort. It's not TV quality, but it's damn fine to me. Also, remember that there is about a ten second delay when you are watching the WC. So if you are posting in a thread, or talking to someone else who is watching the actual PPV on TV, they will see everything before you. I had a few matches spoiled for me because of this. I'd read "OMG I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT JUST HAPPENED, HE WON!!!" only to be confused for a few seconds, and then see it happen. I give the WC's my seal of approval. -
I can't stand his "music", but I respect the man's willingness to speak his mind without censoring himself. That's exactly what I wanted to say.

Call me crazy, but I think differently about all of this. To me, the PPV buyrates tell you more about the fans being willing to spend money on storylines, instead of single performers. To me, the actual TV ratings and the such tell you more about the fans actually caring about any one guy, they tell you more about how much someone is a draw. The PPV buyrate seems to go along more so with how much the fans are willing to pay to see the storylines play out. But, that's just me.

This makes me happy. http://www.gamestop.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=280919

If only the gameplay is worth it. You can have as many features as you want, all of the wrestlers in the world, but if the gameplay sucks ass then I could care less about it. *crosses fingers*

Could someone please move this thread back to the WWE forum please? It's not a fantasy booking thread, we aren't booking any specific guys in some sort of efed type way or whatever. It's just a discussion as to what WWE could do to once again seem important. You wanted more in-depth discussion in the WWE folder, so here you go. The original post wasn't even the only point of the thread. It was to discuss both that idea, as well as whatever anyone else presented to talk about how WWE could one again be looked at as important, etc... Thanks a lot. Sincerely, ...Downhome...

I wouldn't mind if they keep him period, for as long as they have him someone to be with.

My God, you people actually want TBS to win at WM just as I do? What kind of bizzaro world did I walk into? Regardless of what happens, I fully expect TBS to win at WM anyway. He's the guy next in line for Eddie, and I believe they want TBS to look very strong going into that feud. Just a hunch.
