    The OAO Raw Thread, 2/23/04

Now that is a great job at making Benoit look like gold. I love how the fans get more, and more, and more, and more, and more into Benoit as his matches progress, and then at the end it's like the fans climax. That's great.

    What PC game is this?

To those of you who guessed Age of Empires, you are right. I looked up and read some reviews, looked at some screens, and I am thinking of the first AoE game. Thanks a lot.

    What PC game is this?

Oh yeah, I remember that you start a many years in the past, with just about nothing. You then go up through the years, discovering the different type of stuff to use to build with. Then you get more and more advanced, building bigger and bigger buildings.

    What PC game is this?

It's not that, but I did have it at a time. It's a very...interesting game.

I do remember that it was really popular back then. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr Age of _____ sounds like a possibility.

Brock Lesnar Getting Heat For Big Ego

The only thing that can stop Brock Lesnar from becoming a true force in the wrestling industry, is a possible huge ego.

Fair enough. I still don't see why you weren't entertained by the X-Cup show. You just came off as much too hard on the show, it wasn't near as bad as you made it out to be. Are you a fan of that sort of wrestling other than that night, or are you usually just not into that style?

    The best botches.

    EDIT: Nevermind.

    The best botches.

It's not WWE, so whatever. How about the back to back table botches in AJ/Abyss on this past weeks TNA show? I have a .GIF of them both in the TNA thread for that show.

I don't think Vince is afraid of Bishoff/Heyman at all in real life. To him, he already crushed them both, he's won and that's the end of it.

Actually thats a forfeit. A Count-out only can happen when the match actuslly starts with both men in the ring. In this wacky world of wrestling, I've seen it be a count-out more than once.

That really means nothing if they really wanted to do it. Before Rocky joined Vince he was kicking his ass every now and then. Vince said he did so just to trick everyone, blah blah blah. Or if they really wanted, they could come up with an angle where Bishoff and Heyman BOTH wanted WWE, but was not working with one another and didn't know that the other had the exact same plans. Since eventually Vince would get ownership back from the two, they could use the conflict between Bishoff/Heyman as a reason why neither one could accomplish their exact same goal. Or they could do an angle where they both want the same thing, and once they realize that they are both wanting to destory Vince, they could decide to team up together in order to accomplish the goal that they both share. Vince McMahon did put them both out of business, or so we're led to believe, so they could use that common bond between the two to get them to work together. The could then form their own group, perhaps the rumored late night show, and both be the owner of that company. Then you have the possiblity where you could have Heyman and Bishoff always running their mouth off at Vince, saying how they are so much better than he is, hey could have defeated him if (whatever) happened or didn't happen, and Vince eventually gets tired of it so much, that he releases them from their GM posistions and tell them that he's sick of them doing just talk, and if they really think they can do it then they can have the late night slot to prove it to him. Make it so that if they don't actually get succesfull doing that together, Bishoff/Heyman, that they will be fired if they fail at creating a new succesfull "company". Just something to make things really really interesting. We already have Benoit/Eddie in pretty damn good posistions and guys like Brock who looks to be improving all of the time, add a great new angle to the mix and WWE could be well on it's way to entering another boom.

I wish we could go back in time, and have Heyman/Bishoff both a part of the Invasion storyline when it first started. I wouldn't mind some sort of angle, where Bishoff and Heyman are only working for Vince right now, so that they could somehow gain ownership from Vince, one way or another.

I'd like to see something "major" like that happen also. The WWE needs something like that to happen sometime in the near future, just to get people really talking again. Something that will shake up the wrestling industry, and something that actually leads to something that much more major. Maybe not exactly what was mentioned, but I do think something needs to go down pretty soon.

The One & Only NWA:TNA PPV Thread:

It wasn't that he didn't flow that great, he just flat out sucks. It was like they just went down on the street corner and just asked some random hobo if they want to read a few lines. It came across too forced as well.

The One & Only NWA:TNA PPV Thread:

Ok, I just finished watching this show. I really don't understand how you can call this one a "really good show", yet you totally dismantle and put down last weeks effort. That one really confuses me. I loved the first match on this show, pretty solid effort all around. I also loved how they waited untill the match ended clean before doing the JJ/Lynn stuff. I haven't seen but just a few TNA shows, so I don't know if things are always like that or not. I just love matches that actually end clean. I really liked everything to do with Raven (and Funk) on the show, so there was another positive. I also actually, and it kills me to say this, enjoyed ICP. It is sad though, when THEY are the most over guys that are working in the company right now, as far as I can tell. Now the Fairplay stuff. I liked what he said, but the way he said it really sucked to me. I guess I just don't like the guys voice, or the way he presents his promo, but it really just looked bad to me. The table botch in Abyss/AJ was really rough. I hope Abyss is ok, as it looked like he could have really hurt his knee the way he came down on the side of the table with it. The Diamond/Swinger stuff was good as well, looked very well done to me. The main event was a very good example of the heel putting over another talent, without actually loosing to the guy. I didn't see anything at all with what they did there. They made Chris look like a star, and JJ out to be that much more of a heel. I was actually looking at JJ as a huge heel, in the way that a mark would. The Vince Russo stuff, bah I say BAH~! He is quite possibly my least favorite person ever in the manager/president/CEO/whatever type of role. I can't stand the guy on TV, never have and never will. Not to mention, as was said before, he'll end up with JJ which will make all of this be in vain. I agree with Laz, it was a 7.5/10 show, or something near that. Nothing breathtaking, yet nothing just flat out horrible. Everything I didn't mention, I was just impartial to, and was ok with it. I still liked last weeks show better though, even if so many of you hated it for some reason.

    The Passion of the Christ

Ding ding ding. She is a very strict pentecostal type of older woman, so I hope that the Catholic elements (if they are really showcased) do not keep her from enjoying the film She'll get out and leave if there is ANYTHING she doesn't like about it, I just know it.

    15 WORST PPV Matches...

I'll have to think about an entire list, but Mable/Diesel is quite possibly the worst main event match that I've ever seen on a PPV.
