Well, Sandman comes out and chases away Carlito and then celebrates. That's a lot better than I thought they'd have Sandman do tonight.

It's odd that they edited out London's smile on SD, then mention it on RAW tonight. And that's great seeing them win here.

    I can't believe they're mentioning London's smile.

What in the world. Another 3 hour show? Already promoting for next week's RAW?

Now Sandman needs to come out saying something like "who gives a shit about Vince, he was an asshole, let's just fight right now for the title".

Ok, if you want someone besides Bischoff, how about Jesse Ventura? Their reasoning there could be that he has such a long history in the industry, and with WWE and Mr. McMahon, and on top of that he was the Governor of Minnesota - talk about management experience.

The origins of the Vince angle

Once upon a time, the rumor was that Carlito hired New Jack to stab Cena, but they never went through with it for some reason.

There's a million things that they could do with this angle, so I guess that's the good thing about it all. Vince faked his death just to force people to miss him and to respect him. While he's "gone", he's seeing all of the changes being done to his creation, and he doesn't like it at all. Eric Bischoff replaces him as the head of WWE. Coach becomes the manager of Bobby Lashley. His family publicly states that the best thing to do is to move forward, even with these changes. On WWE.com they could post reports where "critics" rate the shows after Vince's "death" as "the best WWE product in years". And so on... They could have workers finally reveal stuff about Mr. McMahon in interviews as well. Nothing too bad, but just stuff that Vince wouldn't want people to know. Maybe have Chris Jericho finally return to RAW, saying that the reason he's been gone for so long is because Vince had a personal grudge against him for some reason, but now that Vince has passed, and as much as he has nothing but sympathy for Vince and his family, his time to return to WWE is finally here. Have Eugene come out and say that the "special" gimmick was Vince's idea, and now he can finally be himself. Etc...

It would be interesting if they had someone on RAW tonight to appoint Eric Bischoff as the new head of WWE, since he has the most experience with that sort of thing having been over WCW back in the day, as well as having WWE experience as the GM of RAW. They could have Coach instantly being Bischoff's helper once again, since he's always been friendly with him on screen, even when Vince was around.

Help identify a TV show for my column

Wow. Seriously though, I have no clue. Have you ever thought about trying the "I Need To Know" folder on the IMDB boards? For as many morons that there are on the IMDB boards, there's a lot of people on there who are great at these "what is this" type of questions.

    Hostel 2

From Eli Roth's MySpace blog: Translation: It's everyone else's fault, and not his, that Hostel 2 did very shitty at the box office, and received shitty reviews from most critics and horror fans alike. There's so much pure bullshit in that blog post that I'm not even going to bother commenting on it all. Not to mention that the horror genre goes through trends, and the trend of the torture-porn/gore horror film is more than likely starting to slow down now. That's nothing new at all, that's just how it is with horror. Every 3-5 years the horror trend changes, and something new starts up. Before the current trend it was the Asian horror trend, before that was the ghost story, and before that was the slasher trend, and so on.

    Supplemental Draft

You know, looking back on it when Kennedy first got injured we all thought he was going to be out for this entire year, and the big angle we were all talking about was KK making his return in the Royal Rumble, to then go after Edge at WM not only for the title, but for revenge. That angle could still play out, and it would still work perfectly. Now I'm once again hoping that it happens.

I think it's funny that while RAW didn't really lose anyone that really matters to them, they gained five potential main eventers - King Booker, Bobby Lashley, Snitsky, Ken Kennedy, and William Regal. I don't even think I'm stretching that at all and I actually expect those five guys to be in some sort of main event role over the next few months. Either in the actual main event, or the match right below the title match. Hell, if they actually did the thing with Sandman, he'd make #6. Add those guys to the four or five guys already on RAW who are at the main event level, and that's quite the group. What they've done, pretty much, is stock RAW with the guys for Cena and HHH to deal with for the rest of the year.

Val Venis should have been giving a major push years ago... I'll never understand why it's never happened, pretty much how I feel about Stevie Richards. Behind the scenes, everyone always praises both of those guys, to the extent where management tells other people to study their matches. I remember the Val Venis/Rikishi feud, thinking right around then that they were going to really push him. I remember he went "I WILL END YOU", and seeing something in him I hadn't ever really seen before to that extent.
