What about Rodney Mack?
-
At first I was pissed that they couldn't use the angle to elevate someone else. But then as I kept watching it and getting more into the match and thought about it more- I realised that there were few people who could've pulled that off other then HBK Besides, how much sense would it have made to have a Booker T or an RVD in HBK's place? The entire deal with the back story to what was going on wouldn't have been there, the Austin/whoever thing at the end would've been pointless. HBK was the perfect choice.

I wish more people would just stop worrying so much about what goes on backstage, all of the politics, and just watch the shows and take them as what you see on your TV. I promise that it wouldn't hurt, and at the same time, you'd be able to enjoy many of the matches so much more.
-
I agree with that 100%, and I'm happy to see that your hatred for him doesn't cloud your vision from the truth. Anyone who thinks that RVD or Booker T could've done the same angle, as great as HBK did, needs to fucking wake up and stop smelling the bullshit. Neither guy is as great as HBK, neither guy could've have done that angle. I'll refrain from commenting on the last part of your post, heh.

Need I remind people that it's only Pro. Wrestling? Some of you need to just calm down, take a deep breath, and realize that what happens in WWE isn't a matter of life or death to us fans. Especially over something so fucking trivial as what the initial post in this thread is talking about.
-
I can't think of ONE person who didn't like it... Shit, even Barron liked it. I know a few people in "real life" that didn't like it...more than likely because they are new fans or something. I also talked to a few online who didn't like it...or at least didn't see it as special as I did. But yes, most people did like it, even HBK haters.

Well, at least two posters here are sane.

After seeing Shawn on Survivor Series (I obviously loved the guy before, but still), I want to see him wrestle as much as possible. I know some didn't like it, but his work in that match, the entire angle with Austin...all of that, it made me want to see him stick around WRESTLING, for as long as possible. That match was one of the highlights of the year for me personally.

You kill people with a CHAINSAW? Is this game something along the lines of you being a serial killer...only you HAVE to do what you do to live?
-
I have hardly ever not enjoyed his matches. I'm a big fan of the guy, I love his work.
-
Michael Douglas and Sean Penn movie? That's it.
-
In the millions that I would kill..........not a one of them is a TSM poster. You're (and all of us are) safe!
-
I don't know. If I saw that I'd die, and end up liking the match that much more out of pure shock.
-
I want a Criterion Collection version of The Game.

This thread is just begging for someone here to get banned.

Call me crazy, and I am, but aren't Trish and Victoria both on RAW? I thought both matches were going to be RAW vs. Smackdown. -
Just one?
-
Which made most of the entire show pointless.

*Hits you with a slapjack (either one that Stevie Ray used) for bringing that up again.* *no sells and adds General E. Rection to the group* -

I know, move him to Smackdown and have him manage Morgan, Jones, and A-Train! They could be called...whatever Slaughter's group was called in the GI Joe movie. Let's not go overboard now. I was thinking more along the lines of him being a manager for G.I. Bro! -

I wouldn't mind him as a manager at all. -

He's getting ready for a full time return to the ring as a wrestler/manager! -
Bah, why don't I remember hearing about this!?

I'm not talking about that Hogan screwup...but it was great also. -

I don't remember that either. I fucking love the Hogan screw up I posted in this thread, now THAT'S classic. -
I think on a 1990-91 SNME. They never feuded I don't think. They were also the final two of their Survivor Series at SS '90, and DiBiase eliminated Hart to become the last survivor. What little work I have seen of them together, I always loved.
