That is one of the reasons that I posted this. Yes, I mean HEELS, not fairy tale characters. I'm about about the guys you mentioned, and everyone else in that group. I mean, really...when did we last have a truly great heel, who was a heel for years and years, that was actually effective?

Just click here and then look under Services, then look under Buyer Tools, and then click on Retract My Bid. It says... ...also, keep in mind that it will be listed on your feedback page that you have retracted a bid, and it keeps up with how many times you do so. Some people don't allow people to bid on their auctions if they have frequent bid retractions, so be careful.

I was meaning I hotlinked some and they became Red X images. Had some good ones too. Heh, they did that for me to, so I saved them and then uploaded them at VillagePhotos.

What in the world do ya'll mean? The site is still coming up for me.

My comment about the heels, well, I guess I mean that just as it sounds. For one I believe that in the industry in this day and age, we have too much "turning". It's almost hard to keep up with who is a face and who is a heel now, seeing how it seems to change on a monthly/weekly basis. We do need more long term faces and heels, I think so at least. It just allows the fans to get really familier with the character. Besides, once they finally DO turn the other way, it actually means something, thus the company could make so much more money off of the turn and the following matches that it leads to. It'd be like gaining a brand new wrestler to the roster. Other than that, I just wish the heels would be more heelish. It just seems like the actual art of being a heel is fading away. I miss the subtle things they used to do to show that they are heels, all of that sort of stuff. One of the main reasons that the heels, to me, aren't effective enough is because it's rare here to have a guy to actually truly be the main heel. It's as if all of the heels just work for someone, don't have a mind of their own, and are overshadowed. Like the other week when Brock, the WWE Champion came out and destroyed someone just for the hell of it because McMahon told him to. It did nothing for Brock in the end, it was all about someone OVER him. Which leads me to another point, that I believe that the day and age of the "evil owner" is dead and gone. It just isn't effective as it once was to me. If anything, I'd say it's time for the role of a Monsoon/Slaughter to return, a Presidential type of role. Of course it may be hard to have that role seeing how the McMahons have been on TV so much in every way. Linda McMahon basicly has the role that I'm talking about right now, as she usually only shows up when she needs to and when she DOES show up, you KNOW it's important.

Oh I'm not talking about anything like that. If anything, I'm glad THAT day and age is long gone.

I just laughed out loud at both of these, from the instruction booklet for Super Mario Bros. 2... ...my God, if ONLY I had read the manual before I first played the game. It would have clued me in so in depth about those bad guys. Who would have EVER known that thorns would hurt you and that the bird with a mask on...has a mask on?
-
Both of these still make me bust a gut laughing to this very day... ...I'M BAD~! Both of those are sig worthy.

I'm the biggest Goldber mark here, and even I am shocked. I have to say that I'm rather proud of the big guy.
-
WTF? You mean he actually sold the injury that Batista dished out to him or that he was actually hurt? That's just unreal if you mean the former.

This isn't rocket science or anything, really. I've said this once, but I'll say it once more. There are two things that MUST be done. The first is that they need to cut down on relying so much on huge bumps, high spots, and gimmick matches all of the time. Besides the fact that that stuff means next to NOTHING when we see it anymore, it also takes a toll on everyone in that ring leading to more and more prescriptions being filled for everyone. At the same time they do this, they need to also teach MOST guys a bit of PSYCHOLOGY to be used in the matches. We have these new guys coming up all of the time it seems like, and most of them have no fucking idea of how to but a truly great Pro. Wrestling match together. If they keep bringing young guys in without knowing the true basics of this sport, where in the hell will we be in five or ten years? Or really, where in the hell are we right NOW already? The other thing that I believe would help, just as I'm sure most if not all of you agree with, is that they need to slow down/cease the steroid use. They need to quit promoting the image that to be a Pro. Wrestler, you must be cut like a block of stone. As long as this keeps going on, people are going to keep on passing away. Don't get me wrong, we'll still see a ton of guys pass away from rampant steriod use and the such, we have already had an entire generation (or more) be hurt very bad by the shit. What can be done, and they can start right now, is that they can work on helping those new guys that we see in the ring right now, and those of the future. It can be done, it's not impossible, I will not accept the "it's just the way it is" deal. Because quite frankely, it doesn't have to be that way.

Lou Thesz: Have you ever went through his posts...

Good luck on tracking most of them down, lol. Thesz on DVD~! I know of that DVD, and it is not a good representation of his work from what I've been told. It's sad, but most of his "great" matches do not even exist on video. -
I'm sure most of you know that Lou Thesz has an entire forum dedicated to him over at the WrestlingClassic's message board. For some reason I've never went through it to read his thoughts and rants, but I decided to do so tonight. I made it so that all of the topics since the forum opened up back in 2000 is viewable, and I started with the very first one. I haven't looked through them all yet, but I've noticed that the man had a lot of very bright and insightfull things to say, just as you could imagine. Some of them that I've already noticed are... ...I just found some of this so interesting, I am loving this. Not to mention all of his other posts just reflecting back on his day and age. I highly suggest that you all check out all of this, have it be if you agree with his views or not. Sincerely, ...Downhome...

Here is another one that I find interesting... ...once again, if you have already read/heard this then ignore it, heh. -
I didn't care for the match itself, I simply enjoyed the story of the match. In THAT respect, I thought that it was very good.

Same here, I want to get his book, and a few other ones. I'm learning so much by reading all of these threads though, every Pro. Wrestling fan should read all of this even if you don't agree with him. A lot of people may already know this, but I didn't know that he TRAINED Jumbo Tsuruta... ...like I said, a lot of you might already know that, but it is cool to me seeing how I just read it, lol. -
I'd hit it.
-
I try. You need to edit that huge quote of me though, the first part of it is what he said, not me.

The ladder match was an entertaining gimmick match.
-
It can, and it has before. I'm not saying RVD has ever singlehandedly ruined a match, but at certain moments in a match if someone no-sells certain spots, it CAN destroy a match. I personally know quite a few people who can't stand RVD, thus his not entertaining them. Not everyone likes RVD, that's just how it is. Just because people get excited over a match that has a few spots in it, does NOT mean they are a great wrestler, it doesn't even mean that whoever it is, is a GOOD wrestler. I've gotten excited in matches over someone that I don't really care for that much, someone who isn't a good wrestler, blah blah blah. RVD is more than worthwhile and worth a posistion in the company. The thing is however, that I do not look at him as a World Champ. He has plenty of faults that MUST be dealt with before he ever gets a run. The first being, he MUST turn heel eventually, it's vital to his career in terms of climbing the ladder of WWE. I'd use RVD, but he himself needs to work on a few areas of his work that we currently see in WWE. I've seen him have great matches, but it hasn't been in a while now. All of the blame can't be placed on him right now also, I know he's being limited a bit, etc...
-
I thought it was fucking great considering it was his first match back after years of not being in the ring. Not a ***** classic, but it was still entertaining to me.

I'm sure that's what happened, even though I don't remember. It doesn't make it any better that Judy F'N Bagwell took his place!

Eh, I just thought it would be a nice gensture FOR TNA, seeing how I know that a ton of people can't ever watch the shows. Including myself. Oh well, I'm sorry guys, and if I pissed off anyone, I'm sorry to you also.
