    WWE Bloodbath DVD

I picked it up today along with HCTP, but I haven't watched any of it yet. I've been playing HCTP ever since I got home, woohoo.

I have no idea what to say about the two matches I just had as the OS Taker. Let's just say I was marking out just about the entire time. I'll give details I suppose if you ask.

In SYM it's run towards ropes--->dodge(square)--->strike(X) In all of the matches I ever played in SYM, I never did that. Thank you.

Ok, I've got the springboard moves, but I just can't get the other one to work. Bah. I want to jump over the ropes like Taker does.

I wish I could fucking figure out how to jump over the ropes to the outside of the ring. Or how to do springboard moves, and all of that.

Are you still talking about the game, or did you mean to post this in LSD? Now THAT'S classic.

I haven't bought anything yet, but I think I will right now. I've been holding off so I could save up enough to buy the Old School Undertaker. He costs SD$35000, and I now have SD$38600 to spend. Oh what the hell, I HAVE to unlock him right here and now, heh. Here goes nothing! ABORT! Get the "Superfly" instead! It's too late, I just unlocked the OS Taker. I'm about to have my first match as him.

I believe there are two spots where you can put someone through the Cell. I haven't even done one of those matches yet though.

Honestly, I have no idea where he gets the idea that the game is "nothing but button mashing", I seriously don't. Sure you have to with the submission deal, but that's a good thing to me, it makes the entire thing more interactive instead of just "put on the submission and just watch it while you sit there hoping it submits the guy". I love the sense of more control over what's going on in the ring. The game is everything but boring, I haven't been bored a single second. The very first match I did was outstanding, and is one of my favorite matches I've ever had. I mean, I was Hillbilly f'n Jim for crying out loud and it was a great match. In terms of the game being diffucult, that's true in some cases. First off, it's a great deal harder than past SD games, or other games for that manner. That however is a good thing, when I play a wrestling game I don't want to go into each match KNOWING I'm going to win, that isn't fun at all. I've already lost a couple of times, I love that. If you are a big strong guy like Kane and you are taking on someone like Ultimo, then the match is easier for you. It's realistic that they have those who are stronger, to actually be able to take care of other people easier. On the other end of it, if you are a Mysterio and you are taking on Goldberg, THEN you have a hard time. Once again though, you SHOULD have a hard time in these cases, at least to me. The grapple system is wonderful, each guy has 16 front grapples to choose from now in addition to all of the other moves you can do, so the matches never get boring, you just have so many options to choose from now, it's crazy. I think some people are having a hard time figuring out when to press the commands to do the moves, that's all I can think of. When you grapple someone you press one of the four directions with the O button. Each direction stands for a certain set of moves (Strong, Submission, Signature, and Quick). When you enter that first command, you can then press one of the four directions once again with the O button to do a move from that set. You just have to enter the command at the right time, or the other guy will counter it or will break it up. Again, it's all about the new AI in this game, it's just perfect (or close to perfect) this time around. I couldn't be more happier about it.

I want everyone to take one guess as to who I'm using in season mode right now. If you know me, you know the answer. By the way, this is officially my favorite Pro. Wrestling game ever released in the US. I'll let you know in a few days if it goes any higher than that. It's THAT damn good.

The Styles Clash is in, but I only know that by looking at videos last week. Check out this thread over at GameFAQs if you want to know what else is in there. I just want to also say that the Ric Flair in this game, is absolutely perfect in every way. I've never seen him have a better representation in a video game ever. His taunts, moves, everything, it's in there. Of course, I doubt the turnbuckle whip thing he does is in the game, but if it is I don't know how to do it. His Figure-Four just may be the greatest thing ever. You even have a move where you roll them up in a small package and you PULL THE TIGHTS! I just beat Val Venis using that move, and after it was over Venis stood right back up and was complaining to the ref about it. It's details like THAT which make a game truly something special. I'm just in awe at this game so far, I really am. Also, interferance isn't just random. If you press R3 someone will come and help you, and in Flair's case the one time I did it, Batista came out to give me a hand. If the ref sees them get in the ring though, he'll get in front of them and make them get out of the ring. Like I said, the details are just awesome.

I don't remember if it was in the previous games or not, but I am now Ric Flair vs. Val Venis. I went outside the ring to get a chair, and once I got back in the ring and was just about to clock Venis with it, the ref saw me and took it out of my hands and tossed it outside the ring. Once again, I marked.

No, you do not need a SD icon to break up finishers. I thought I'd try out a Bra and Panties match next, and so far, as shocking as it is for myself to say it... ...it's fun as hell. Yes, you heard me, I am actually enjoying the match. The mechanics of the match are just so smooth, it's great. Thus far, I'm loving the grappling system. I'm talking, LOVING it. It's one of the best systems that I've ever played in a Pro. Wrestling game. The reversals, oh my God the reversals, they are just wonderful. If you have any questions, go for it.

Good lord. After working over on Kane's body the entire match, and breaking up TWO of his finishers and taking an ass kicking, I finally come back to win the match by making him submit to a Bearhug. I love this fucking game already.

OH MAH GAWD!!!!!! So I'm fighting back, and the bastard goes for his Chokeslam this time. The kick ass animation starts up, and RIGHT before he lifts me up, Hillybilly kicks him in the midsection to break up yet ANOTHER finisher. Wow.

    Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles...

(This is not a review, instead, just a few random thoughts about the game.) I am a very, VERY hardcore oldschool video game fan. I've been playing video games for all of my life, so I've been around and I've played every sort of game out there. My favorite video game era would be the classic Mario/TMNT/Contra NES era, it just ruled so much. The games were simple, yet took a certain kind of skill to master. I'm telling you all of this, so you will understand where I am coming from with what I'm about to say, so just stay with me, heh. This new TMNT game, is without a doubt, a return to oldschool. Just as Contra: Shattered Soldiers took us all back to the days of classic Contra action, so does this new TMNT game to the days of classic TMNT fun. If you liked the old games, and STILL like playing the old games, then you will LOVE this new one. In the old games, you went through stages kicking ass over and over again pressing the same buttons over and over, and when you got to a boss you simply had to find a way to get up to it to hit it a few times, dodge their attacks, and then hit it some more. It was straight forward and to the point, and for me, HIGHLY addicting. This game is just like that, with a few updates. The combos (keeps track of how many you hit in a row ala Rygar, etc...), new moves, throwing stars, and other such updates. It's oldschool action, for a new generation...as well as those of us from past generations. Not to mention that the graphics, ohhhhhhhhhhh the graphics. I just really dig this style of graphics, it's just so beautiful to me and it feels as if you are playing a cartoon. I know I'll sound crazy, but screw it. Coming from a life long TMNT fan, who has always loved the game, I can find no faults at all in this new, updated installment of the series. I'm not joking when I say that, everything is just perfect to me. As a matter of fact, it's a lot better than I thought it would be to start with. You can not compare this game to something like Metal Gear Solid, or other such games. This is a certain type of game, and the purpose of it is to bring back that oldschool feel. To me, we need MORE games like this, that take us back and allow us to once again have the same straight forward fun that we took part in so many years ago. I give this game, without flinching, a 10/10. If you are a hardcore oldschool TMNT fan, then you do not want to go without this game. Period. Sincerely, ...Downhome...

OH MAH GAWD!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm playing my first match (I'm Hillbilly Jim taking on Kane in a normal one on one match), and I'm getting the ever living shit kicked out of me. So Kane is working me over, and I think for sure I'm going to loose at any moment. He gets a Smackdown, and goes for his Powerbomb finisher on me. I think for sure he has be defeated. He lifts me up for the Powerbomb, and at the height of the move as I'm pressing the buttons like a mad whore on crack, Hillbilly switches the move around and comes crashing down with a HUGE ass DDT reversal on Kane. I don't know the last time I marked that much at a Pro. Wrestling game. Wow.
