    the jericho/trish angle

Just about every great feud was based around the most basic of ideas. That's what's so good about the truly great feuds. We don't need some huge complex love triangle, sex with dead people, or fathers dying. There is a reason why shit is shit, and the greats are great. One doesn't have to look far to tell why certain feuds work, and others fail.

    the jericho/trish angle

Seriously man...cut it out. I can't stop laughing at this shit. You remind me of a child. You assume absurd thing whenever someone disagrees with you. That is just funny. And like I said...I believe you. The storyline you presented here sucks shit. The WWE writing staff sucks shit. You're perfect for each other. ok, you can talk shit. but if your willing to back it up, then why dont you write 2 promos (word for word... character specific), and a couple of vingettes in the same format along with a general, drawn out storyline that would DRAW. lets see you do it, if you think your better. you wont get anywhere, dude. You first writer-man. Let's see your great work. We're going to break that .gif if this thread goes on for much longer.

    the jericho/trish angle

i didn't say gerwitz told me about THAT angle in particular. I almost became a writer for the wwe, and spoke with him on the phone for 5 minutes. we discussed the bussiness in general... why would i act like a total retard and ask him what angles they have planned. it comes across as immature and isn't far from career suicide.

    Meltzer's No Mercy star ratings

I have to ask - what's the difference between that sentiment and Benoit and Angle "always getting ** as a default"? I don't give every Hogan match a certain rating just because it's fucking Hulk Hogan. I don't do that for anyone. That one match though, for the first time in years, it truly felt special to me as a fan. I wouldn't give Benoit/Angle a "given rating" and I don't do it for Hogan, no matter how big a mark I am for all of them. As I said, I call um as I see um.

    Meltzer's No Mercy star ratings

I can't dispute a single word of that, I agree with you. It was just one of those matches that just felt right to me, I really FELT it. This obviously has a hell of a lot to do with nostalgia, and that both of the guys meaning a lot to me. It was just perfect to me, in the same way that many people say Hogan/Andre at WM III was perfect. I could never actually sit here and say it was a good MATCH though.

    Meltzer's No Mercy star ratings

It's a good idea, but you still couldn't get everyone to agree on it. Some people see Rock/Hogan and see a dud, and to me I see a ***** classic (when rating matches on MY scale, I take everything into account instead of the in-ring work alone). I'm willing to try it though if you want to lay it all out. Hell, who knows, it just might be an interesting new thing to do here at TSM.
  12. This is off topic, but I saw some in here talking about Flair/Hart. Here are my VERY quick thoughts on that deal... ...when looking at the two men purely in terms of their in-ring ability, their actual Pro. Wrestling talent, I rank both of them up there right next to one another. They wrestled the same type of match for the better part of their respective careers, and they did so very damn good. They way that they wrestled a match, they are a lot a like. So yeah, as I said, I put them right up there at the top of the list of all time, right near one another. However, when you step back and look at both guys as a whole, and not simply their in-ring work and everything, I'd have to say that Ric Flair is head and shoulders above Bret Hart, which is why most rank him so much higher than Hart. Without a doubt in my mind, Ric Flair is the greatest total package ever to be in the Pro. Wrestling industry. Notice that I said GREATEST TOTAL PACKAGE, not greatest wrestler. The thing about Flair, is not only was he a great wrestler, but he was just great at every aspect of the industry. From psychology in the ring to workrate to overall in-ring skill to promos to interviews to character and to everything else, he was just that damn good at it. The man is truly the greatest all around Pro. Wrestler of all time. Bret Hart, while he was good at most everything, he obviously lacks in areas where Flair excelled at. So yeah, that's how I look at both of the guys.

    Meltzer's No Mercy star ratings

I call um as I see um. If Test and Mark Henry had a good match, I'd praise it. I'd also shit a brick, but that's another story. If I watch a match, and I'm entertained and I enjoy it, then I'll give it the marks it deserves. If I see a match and it's shit, I'll be the first to say so. I don't even like the mystical star ratings, they rub me the wrong way. I'm ok with people using it to let everyone know what they think of a match, I do that myself. Howeve, when we get to the point where we have twats going around saying stuff like "that match WAS *****, it's not opinion it's fact" and stuff like "that match was a *, nothing more period, once again it's not opinion, it's FACT and that's where the match ranks on the * scale". Some people seem to forget that there isn't some crazy ass OFFICIAL star rating scale out there, other than in the land of insanity. It's all opinion, and when you present it as such, then everything is cool. The reason that most people instantly think that a Benoit or Angle match is at least good, and a Test or Henry match is shit, is because most of the time that's just how it ends up. You can't blame people for thinking like that. However, anyone who just gives a match a certain rating just because of who is in it, well that's just fucked and insane. Still though, I suppose they can do whatever they want, once again, it's all just a matter of opinion.

Ok...Is It Supposed To Be This Easy?

I played it non-stop untill I got to the part where I had to break all of the windows in the mall. After a few tries I couldn't get it done, so I went on to the next game for then. I plan on getting back to it soon. How far am I in the game btw?

    Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles...

Indeed. I don't give a piss about the 4-player exclusion however, as I'd never be around with three other people at the same time to take advantage of it. By george, when I was a youngin' a 2-player console version was fine, and by george a 2-player version is still fine.

Thanks. BBJ was 5 years old and just a tad under 18 inches long, just didn't survive being moved inside because of the cold. Not to remain off topic, but an 18 inch GOLDFISH? Must be something in the water over in Japan.

Brand new WWE news and notes from the Observer

Greeeeat. Another neck injury. What would this be? 7? 8? 9? Spike is a "special" case, it's just a matter of time before he's hurt really bad with the way that he puts his body on the line just about every time he's out there. He has no business being in Pro. Wrestling, since all the guy can do is get destroyed. I really think he should get out, because before it's all said and done he's going to get screwed up big time.
