Cubs lead, 5-3.
-
That was a fucking WICKED strikeout, wow.
-
This is the best post season that I've seen in years. I can't believe how awesome it's been.
-
Holy shit. This is pure and simply...magic.
-
..What about WWA- All Stars? I would have watched it, had I been able to.
-
I have watched every WWE PPV this year. The upcoming Smackdown PPV, however, is the first one which I might just skip. I don't think that I've ever cared for a Pro. Wrestling show any less than I care for this upcoming PPV.

It's in my top five favorite Pro. Wrestling moments...ever. And I was there, live damnit, LIVE!

Let's not go mad crazy now. -
On a side note, I have a bunch of Flair matches on my computer in case any of you want to pick them up sometime. Including Starcade '93 vs. Vader and the match on RAW vs. Curt Hennig.
-
It was in Greenville damnit, Greenville, SC. And I was there, live, I was there, WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO~! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO~1111111111 "WE WANT FLAIR, WE WANT FLAIR, WE WANT FLAIR! "WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Oh my God that was a magical night, I can't put it into normal wording, so I'll just leave it as this with my looking insane. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO~!

Hogan to likely finish his career in NJPW..
Downhome replied to Use Your Illusion's topic in General Wrestling
Well, I just finished watching the Hulk Hogan Vs. Masahiro Chono, and I loved it. Then again, as you all know, I'm the worlds biggest Hulk Hogan mark. It was great seeing Hogan in there with Massa "My Hero" Chono, and if you followed the nWo/NJPW angle you remember that one. I dunno, it just felt really good, the match and all. Of course it was a Hulk Hogan match, so it wasn't no Flair/Steamboat or anything, but still, it was classic Hogan, and he DID have his working boots on. If any of you care enough to watch it also, I can send it to you over AIM if you want. Did I mention how I love Hulk Hogan? -
I have it, and I still play it. It's my second or third Pro. Wrestling game, right behind Giant Gram 2000.

Screw the idea of writing stuff to them. Just have them offer a catalog to the public, and to make your choice and to place an order, have it so you can do it either online or on the phone. Just like Columbia House has it set up. Just instead of picking different DVDs, you pick the matches.

This would be a great idea if WWE ever knew what the fuck was going on.

Freedy vs. Jason II : Here is some information...

Besides, after all of the stuff Ash has dealt with in the past, I'm sure he has a chance against a crazed goon and a nightmare fiend. -

Ric Flair was playing the MEGA baby face, while Vader was the role of the absolute beast monster, which can not be destroyed. Something like Kane, just with more talent and more effective. Vader was the World Champ, and was booked to destroy everyone he got in the ring with. They booked him as an unstopable force, blah blah blah. Then you have Ric Flair, the legend, and this was his last chance at trying to get the title back. If he lost this match, his career would be over forever, and that would be it for the Nature Boy. Yes, it was the career of the hometown boy Ric Flair on the line along with the World Title that Vader was holding on the line as well. The event took place in Charlotte, NC so they were right in the heart of Flair Country. They followed Flair from his home all the way to the arena with a camera with Mean Gene by his side, talking to him about the night, and talking to him about his career and everything. They showed Flair's family, showed them crying (even a young Reid and David), and they just made the match seem so damn important. In the match, they made it look like Ric Flair had truly met his match, they made it look like he could never overcome all of these odds, what with Vader being the monster that he is, and Harley Race, the VERY man that Ric Flair defeated just ten years earlier at the very same event for the same title that he was trying to reclaim once again, being in Vader's corner. The match was a hell of a beating, and Flair took it. They made Vader look, once again, like the monster that everyone had seen before. When Vader hit Flair, it looked like he was REALLY trying to hurt him. It was just so intense and the emotion in the air being in Flair's home town, it was just so powerful. I could feel it, and I don't see how any other Pro. Wrestling fan couldn't help but to feel it also. Just when it looked as if Ric Flair had finally been taken out of the game, the bloodied Ric Flair came out of nowhere with a roll-up and defeated the monster, prooving to everyone that he was still the man in town, that he was a living legend, and that he was the NEW World Heavyweight Champion of the world. Then after the match they all celebrated in the back, with his family and even Ricky Steamboat coming by to say congrats. That is how you make a Pro. Wrestling match mean something, that is how you build a story, and that is what I miss in this sport that I love so fucking much. It was the first Pro. Wrestling match that I truly felt an emotional bond with, and I'll never forget how I felt at that time. It was one of those rare, truly special moments in any event or sport. I've only felt as I did while I watched that match just a handfull fo times. So yeah, to me at least, it's one of the best matches overall of all time, one of the most important Pro. Wrestling matches of all time, and some of the best damn storytelling both in and out of the ring, yes, of all time. That match is good but it isn't as good as it NWA stuff, sorry. In terms of pure match quality, you are exactly right. Still, to me this match is vital to his career. It's just as every bit important as his other great matches. Whatever though, it'd be impossible to fit everything that is great about Flair's career in a single 3-disc DVD set, it simply can not be done. It's a shame we have to limit it to just a handfull of matches. Hell, they could have a 3-disc set of just the mans promos and interviews alone!

First off, this is great and I'll buy it the day that it's released. Still... ...it is a sin against DVDs and Pro. Wrestling that the WCW Starcade World Title match against Vader isn't included. The Flair/Vader series was simply outstanding, and their Starcade bout is one of my personal favorite matches of all time, when you take into account what was on the line and the match quality itself. It's one of the most emotional matches ever. With that said, I know that they can't please everyone when it comes to something like this, but whatever. I just wanted to share that.

*sigh* I love Hulk Hogan. I can't believe so many of you are behind this idea, what with the insane levels of Hogan hate 'round these parts...even if it's a great story. I love it though, and for the first time since TNA has been around, I'm going to try my BEST to find some sort of way to watch their program. I just...don't really know how I can get that done.

5+ hours of cage matches and everything? I can't go wrong with this one.

Biker Chain Match for the WWE Championship* Brock Lesnar Vs. The Undertaker - Coming off of a "HUGE" win over his daughter earlier in the night, Vince will run in at the very end of this match pissing Linda off once again, and either get the chain for Lesnar to help him pick up the win via pinfall, or just set off a DQ, which will allow Brock to keep the title anyway. Whichever happens, the show will end with Taker kicking Vince's ass to send the fans home happy. *** "I Quit" Match (Power positions on the line) Vince McMahon w/Sable Vs. Stephanie McMahon w/Linda - Vince will win with help from one of his "boys", allowing him to be the only athority figure on SD. Well, that is untill Austin is shipped over to SD to be the GM by Linda. Yes, Linda will both make the guys on RAW happy and get payback on Vince in the same move, OMG~! 0 *'s United States Title Eddie Guerrero Vs. The Big Show - The point of this match is to truly make Guerrero mean something to the fans, to make it look like he actually has a shot against a main eventer. Well, that's what the match SHOULD be trying to accomplish. I think that Guerrero will win, but he could very well loose also. Remember, Eddie has got the upper hand on TBS for two weeks in a row. Depending on what happens on the upcoming SD show, will tell us who will win. I'm sticking with Eddie however, I really think this is to help build the guy up so they can feed him to Lesnar. **1/2 Kurt Angle Vs. John Cena - I'm going to pick Cena though, as it's been a while since Cena got a big win over anyone, I believe. Besides, Kurt seems to be the guy who will lay down for anyone in order to help build them up. So yeah, my pick is Cena. **1/2 Chris Benoit Vs. A-Train - Chris Benoit is going to win this match. I don't really have any logic to go by on this one though. Just call it a hunch, or whatever. **1/2 Matt Hardy Vs. Zach Gowen - Matt Hardy will win the match after Zach puts up a bit of a fight. After the match, Matt will invite Zach to become an MFer, and Zach will accept. ** WWE Cruiserweight Championship Mysterio Vs. Tajiri - Without a doubt, this will be the match of the night. I think that Tajiri will hold on to the title, but only after he gets a little bit of help from "someone". Perhaps a debuting Yang? ***3/4

I still think that Matt will beat him, but ONLY after Zack puts up a huge fight, and ALMOST gets the win. Then after the match, Matt will try to recruit him to be a new MFer.

Ok, so I signed up for the Columbia House TV Greates club a few weeks ago. I had to pay around $3, they sent me the DVD I picked out (a Twilight Zone DVD that had four episodes on it), and I finally got around to watching it the other day. It was one of the funniest things I've ever seen in my life. The episode that I'm talking about is entitled it's a good life, here is a summary of it... ...here is a picture of the crazy "monster"... ...and you can also click here for other pictures from the episode. I'll admit, for it's day and age I'm sure it was weird as hell. Even today, it's somewhat twisted having a young child turn a man into a jack-in-the-box. I know that this is a classic, and I saw this years ago when I was a child, but when I watched this again just the other day, I just about couldn't stop laughing throughout. There's just something about everyone being so frightened of this young child, and then his doing something horrible. As described above, whenever someone thinks any bad thoughts, he makes them go away to the corn field, or he destroys them. It's great seeing him do something horrible like killing someone else or creating a beast, and one of the adults are just about to say something to him about it, and instead they say a line like... "Ummm, yeah, it's real good you did that, real good. It was a really good thing, really." ...if you've seen this classic, you know what I mean. Here is my question though... ...have any of you seen this lately, and if you have, did you not find it funny at all seeing everyone's reactions to his actions? It's so f'n great, I love it. Sincerely, ...Downhome...
