This has nothing to do with SD, but still. I'm just waiting for them to give Shane one of the world titles.

Three words will sum up my thoughts on this film, as I watched it today. Holy.Fucking.Shit. Seriously, I'm at a loss for words. The film was so outstanding in every possible way, I don't really know what else to say. I'll give a serious review for it if you want though, or you can ask questions and I'll answer them.

Certain acoustic versions of the following songs are fucking outstanding... 3AM --- Matchbox 20 (Get the piano version, it's one of my favorite things ever.) Foolish Games --- Jewel (Much like the next one, one of the most depressing performances of all time.) Break Me --- Jewel (My favorite Jewel song, my favorite vocal performance that she's ever done, and quite possibly my favorite ever.) You Were Meant For Me --- Jewel (Fuck it, I love everything pre-"new Jewel". You have to hear the acoustic versions of her songs.) Don't Speak --- No Doubt (Screw the normal version, this one is unreal.) ...and there are tons more that I could list.

Off of the top of my head, the most beautiful song I have ever heard is "All Love Can Be" by Charlotte Church, from the motion picture "A Beautiful Mind". Not to sound cliche, but that song is just so powerful. If music can actually touch a soul for me, it's this one.

When this game first came out, it was the greatest video game I had ever played, since I'm a huge wrestling fan. I mean, shit, we went from having the old RAW games and Wrestlemania the Arcade game, to THIS. I couldn't believe how wonderfull it was. Great review, for a great classic game.

I watched one of the funniest things ever...
Downhome replied to Downhome's topic in Television & Film
Oh yeah, all of that is true. But there's no doubt it was trying to frighten people, what with that twisted jack-in-the-box, that part freaks even me out. I still laugh at the episode, I freaking love it. It's a GOOD thing I freaking love it, oh yes it is. -

Not to me. The Simpsons deal was TRYING to be funny, this one was trying to frighten me. Like I said though, maybe I'm just odd. -

You don't think it's just so funny how everyone acts??? Maybe I'm just odd. I love seeing him go something like "I have no friends to play with, none at all. Will you bring me some kids to play with?" Then his dad responds "Well Billy, you know what happened the LAST time you had friends over." and he goes something like, "I turned them into burning fire". Then the dad is about to say he shouldn't do it, but instead says VERY excitedly "It's a good thing, a REALLY good you did that to them, a very good thing indeed." Just thinking about it makes me laugh. -
I wouldn't have ANY of the females active on TV in any central role if it wasn't in an actual wrestling match, and even then I'd ONLY allow the ones who, you know, know how to WRESTLE to do so. For people like Sable, Torrie, Stacey, and all of the others, I'd have them to ONLY be valets, and NEVER being a central character. Today's product could learn a lot from Miss Elizabeth. She played the role of valet perfectly, and when she became more of a focus, it was still allowing for the wrestlers to be in the central roles.

Sable + all of the McMahons makes even ME not to care about watching their segments. Fuck it, I refused to do so tonight. That's coming from...ME.

I do not agree with, nor do I ever LAUGH at discrimination of any sort, have it be against me or someone of another race, period. Being a flat out racist, where you hate someone and discriminate against someone simply because of the color of their skin and their culture, is wrong in every way possible. Laughing at shit that is meant as nothing more as making fun of outlandish stereotypes however, that's all in good fun and I'd laugh at it no matter what it was talking about. I also do not like, nor laugh, about EVENTS which have happened in the past to hurt anyone such as 9/11 or the Holocaust. It's one thing to laugh at outlandish stereotypes of a race or people, and it's another to have no respect for those affected by horrible acts. Laughing at an outlandish stereotype of a game like this, or saying that all southerns are hicks is cool and ok. Flat out laughing about people getting killed on 9/11 or looking at pictures of the Holocaust, that's simply classless.

Go buy/download Trailer Park Tycoon. It's grrrrrrrrrreat! HAHAHA What do you do, see how many cars you can put up on cinder blocks in the front yard? Right next to the pink lawn flamingo, of course. Yeah, pretty much. http://www.jaleco.com/trailerparktycoon/ http://www.jaleco.com/trailerparktycoon/main.html

Why would Jeff Hardy want to return? He's had such a successfull romp in the world of music and poetry... ...and ROH. -
I'd like to have a list of the places which will be offering this item, so that I can say which ones I feel are ok to be selling it, and which ones should not be.

Well I hate to break it to you, but people like that really do exist. If not as a whole, bits and pieces of them in a number of people. I for one believe that MOST stereotypes start out with some sort of truth to them. It's when they are expanded upon, and people try to make it sound like an ENTIRE race acts like what the stereotype says, when it gets crazy. Have a hard time, but I do know people like that, they do exist. I know people who talk like that, live like that, do things like that, and all of that other shit. As I said, I was friends with a few in school. Maybe that shit just goes on here and not where ever you live, I don't know.
-
No, I know it's true. Like I said, I thought a lot of people knew people like that. Again, are you the type of person who actually believes that some stereotypes do not hold merit? I have nothing against you, and you know that. We've been cool the entire time we've known one another on TSM, at least that what I think. I'm just trying to understand this, and why you are apparently refusing to believe what I have said. No, making fun of entire races is fucking cheap and THAT is racism, hating someone because of their culture and the color of their skin, that's racism and in no way is cool. I just happen to believe that when you take a stereotype, take it to the extreme, and make fun of THAT, it's funny. It's nothing against races, it's all about making fun of the stereotypes that people have created. I laugh at this game, just as I would if someone made a redneck or southern game of the same kind. There is no difference to me. Hell, I laugh at this game, just like I laugh at certain music and laugh at certain movies. I can list plenty of films that are more extreme than this, but are perfectly accepted by most people, and laughed at.
-
But I really do know a bunch of people where quite a few of these stereotypes are real, I thought everyone did. Hell, I went to school with a BUNCH of people who share some of those stereotypes. Are you the sort that believes that shit like that isn't real?
-
You forgot the other reason. To bring families around the world together for "game night".
-
No, I can't. It's just a big joke on all of the "stereotypes" of the ghetto. I'm willing there are blacks out there that see the humor in this. I know I'd be able to if someone came out with a southern game, or even something making light of Christian and religious sterotypes. So no, I see this as just humor, is nothing different than what we see in so many films and hear in music, this is just a rip of all of that. This isn't a knock on all black people, it's just a simple stereotypical joke on the ghetto, etc... For what it's worth, there is a hell of a lot of people out there where said sterotypes fit, I know plenty myself.
-
I'm confused, where is the racism in this or where should I be outraged? Can people not laugh at shit any more? I can.
