The following makes me want to watch the TNA PPV more than anything TNA has done. From PWInsider:
-
I think it's sorta weird how The Shield is totally kicking ass this season, and they still have one more to go, while The Sopranos are just a few episodes away from the end, and they haven't really done all that much so far this year.
-
Refresh me, what was the ending of episode 6? And yeah, I'm up to episode 9 so far, 10 and 11 are on Thursday, and I think it's safe to say that this is likely the best season of the show yet.
-
I hope they do a "holy crap, Bobby Lashley broke out of jail so he's here afterall!!!" angle.
-
I'm shocked that Vince hasn't officially"banned" the other originals from this match.
-
That's likely to be the final nail in RVD's WWE coffin.
-
With the way this show is going, the Sandman deal, Elijah totally going over that Major Brother, whatever his name is, I have a feeling that we might see a burial unlike any burial we've ever seen before here with RVD. I figured it would be bad, but not as bad as I think it might be now. RVD is totally eating his own move at the hands, errr feet, of Shane.

You know, forgetting about the SD spoiler deal and everything, this episode of ECW has been a huge step back for the brand so far. God only knows what's going to happen on the rest of the show.
-
You don't see a difference between just speculation, rumors, and the such and watching it actually happen live or on a taped show? Things change, nothing is ever for certain, everyone knows that. They could've just as likely had Batista beat Taker, and have Edge do his gimmick for the upcoming PPV. Sure, everyone expected Edge to win, I thought it would happen the second he beat Kennedy, but like I said, there's a difference between knowing what's likely to happen, and actually seeing it go down. It's why I never read spoilers. Even when I know what's likely to happen, there's a totally different feel in watching something without knowing for sure what happens. That said, that's all I'm going to say about it, meh.
-
Ugh, what a stupid move. Why in the hell would they totally spoil SD? So much for me needing to avoid wrestling sites after tonight.
-
I hope people can keep the board spoiler-free until Friday, not counting the SD spoiler thread of course. I'm tempted to just stay away until the show. I still think it'll be funny if Edge doesn't win the title. For all we know they'll just have Batista beat Taker, and then set up Batista/Edge for PPV. And while I'm at it, how many SD main eventers haven't been injured badly over the past year or so? It's like there's a revolving door for everyone. Someone gets hurt, someone returns, someone else gets hurt, someone else returns.

Here is Don West going crazy, swimming in cards: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IL0gT1WEDLM

God bless The Iron Sheik.
-
So he's the new Big Show?
-
Well, no matter what anyone thinks about Kennedy in this situation, I think we can all agree that Edge came across like a complete and total badass heel tonight on RAW, and it was perfect to give him even more heat going into SD tomorrow night. It would be funny if they didn't even move Edge over to SD after all of this talk though.

Here is a fantastic John August blog posting that goes over so many of the coincidences in SP3. And for those of you who don't know, John August is a screenwriter, and his credits include Go, Charlie's Angels, Big Fish, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Corpse Bride, The Nines, and the upcoming Shazam! as well.
-
If I was Edge, I'd almost be worried about being shipped off to Smackdown. The brand is cursed I say, currrrrrrrrrrsed!
-
That's exactly right BorneAgain, I didn't even think of that. Heck, Matt Hardy just beat Kennedy as well, so they could have him mention that. We also have a returning Rey Mysterio that everyone seems to forget about.
-
After RAW, John Cena beat Edge in a quick five minute match, if any of you care.
-
And just like some of us said in the RAW thread, the good thing is that the timing is perfect for Kennedy to return at the Royal Rumble. They have the perfect long term storyline in front of them if they decide to use it. Have Edge go to SD and get that title, and hold it until WM. Then, have Kennedy make his return at the Royal Rumble, winning the Rumble match itself. After that, Kennedy reveals that he's going to decide to go after Edge, not only for the World Title, but also for revenge for what Edge did tonight. Is that perfect or what? And yeah, also like we said, it's almost too perfect for WWE to actually go through with.
-
Yeah, it's far too perfect for WWE to actually do. They have, in their hands, the perfect long term storyline, and I bet they totally shit it away. So how will they play it up on SD with Edge? Will they have Batista beat Taker to win the title, then have Edge come out and pin Batista, or will they have Taker beat Batista, once again, and then have Edge pin Taker? They could do a bit where Taker wins, and after the match Mark Henry runs out to take out Batista setting up a feud for those two, and Edge comes out to beat Taker, that way Edge's first feud on SD could be against someone else other than Batista.
-
I get what you're saying, but still, nothing I can see forced them to strip Kennedy of his MITB shot. Edge doesn't need that to be moved over to SD. But like I said, I like what they've done as long as Kennedy returns in the Rumble, wins, and goes after Edge for WM that way.
-
From PWInsider: That's perfect, just in time for the Royal Rumble.
-
Even though Kennedy is injured, do they really need to strip him of his MITB shot? Why not keep him on TV doing promos like he's pretty much been doing since he won the shot? As time goes by, it could've really created a ton of heat for Kennedy, and the fans could really start to get on his case more and more. Then once he's healthy he can start wrestling once again, and no "casual" fan would even know that he was ever hurt. They could still have Edge move to SD this week to take the title, even without the MITB shot. There's a million different ways they could've done it. That said, I like the idea of Edge winning the title on SD this week, holding it to WM, and having Kennedy win the Royal Rumble and go after Edge that way, for the title and for revenge.
