WWE stops Hogan-Lawler from happening
Downhome replied to GreatWhiteNope's topic in General Wrestling
I know many of you guys wouldn't care, but I'd be willing to bet that Hogan/Goldberg could draw as well, and it's a match that could happen without any holdups. I'm really happy for Hogan, MCW, and everyone involved with the show tonight. -

UPDATE: I went ahead and called the FedEx Forum box office just for the hell of it, and they told me that the building does indeed look packed, with empty seats scattered about. This is f'n great news for Hulk Hogan. -

I wonder what the people in the box office at the FedEx Forum would say if we called to ask how many people are there, heh. -

I don't know which group, but damnit, we need some indie group to somehow put together another Hogan/Warrior match. Sure, the match itself would be interesting if only because of the two names and that it would be on an indie show, but I'm more interested in the dueling Hogan/Warrior promos! EDIT: Check out this site: http://rasslinriotnews.blogspot.com/ Brian Tramel will have match by match coverage. Here is what he has to say so far: -
1) Bradshaw with a Chono mention! 2) MVP continues to improve, wow. He just could be the most improved wrestler of the year, and the year isn't even half over yet.

Yeah, the card wont have much great wrestling, but it sounds like it could be fun. If it was within an hour or two of me, I'd go just to see the big Hogan/Wight match, Abby, and then consider everything else just extra. That video that CB just posted, it's great stuff. It's such an oldschool type of promo from both of the guys, and you don't see much of that these days. -
The following spoilers are all about episode 6 which airs two weeks from now. Do not read them if you don't want to know what happens: Bloody hell, and I haven't even watched episode 7 yet.
-
I wonder why they didn't stick the Bret Hart vs. Bad News Allen ladder match from Stampede Wrestling on there.

I started a second Columbia House account and for $12.xx I got the following: -Bringing Up Baby - 2-Disc -A Fish Called Wanda - 2-Disc Collector's Edition -The Frighteners - Director's Cut -The Producers - 2-Disc Deluxe Edition -The Silence of the Lambs - 2-Disc Collector's Edition -Yankee Doodle Dandy - 2-Disc -Z Channel: A Magnificent Obsession - 2-Disc Now I have to buy two more at full price in the next two years (I'll do it in the next month or two though). I'll do it when they have a BOGO w/free shipping code and end up with an average price-per-DVD around $4.xx or so.

Two more episodes (6 & 7) air tonight in France, so once again, if you know where to look you should be able to download them. Every Thursday, two episodes will air over there until the end of the season.

You can tell that those guys are really doing their homework. If you ask me, all four of them have improved over the past year, and I expect to see that improvement continue, especially if they're really studying those tapes. I've said it before, and I'll say it again - WWE is on the verge of some really great guys stepping up to the big time, so the next few years should be very, very interesting. Not just the guys mentioned here, but also the younger guys who are just waiting to make their WWE debuts as well.

WWE has pulled Rock N' Roll Express Robert Gibson from the show now as well, since he works for them as a trainer or something so says PWInsider. -
I don't know if this has been posted yet, but this Orton thing is not just because he trashed his hotel room, but it's because the damage done to the room was massive, in the excess of $50,000!!! That's been reported at WrestleZone, and it's been reported on other main sites as well. I have also heard that Randy Orton was found passed out in his destroyed hotel room, and that it's all tied to drugs and/or alcohol. I have not heard that from a site like PWInsider, 1wrestling, or WO though so take it as you will.

I think it's about time that we have a thread just for this game. Gears of War GameSpot Video Review! Thanks to a clever GAF member for this: Gears of War - Multiplayer Review You can order this game from FamilyVideo.com for around $45.98 using the $5/off coupon code NEWMEM96. I should have mine pretty soon, and I can't wait.

Go check the torrent sites, it's out there just about everywhere by now. It's well worth the hunt.

Look at last week's Raw and the Smackdown threads. Taped shows simply don't get the posts that live shows do. I know, that's my point. When shows are taped some people just read the spoilers instead of actually watching the show. I know people do that with SD, and I'm sure that happened tonight. That's why I think it's a shame that some people more than likely didn't see this match tonight. It'll be online in no time though I guess. Sadly, I think we'll see Cena win at the PPV and hold on to the belt for even longer. I'm not going to talk bad about Cena though, he's really stepped up his game since just before the ECW PPV last year.
-
You can tell just by the lack of posts in this thread that some people even here didn't give a shit about this as they usually would.
-
I hate that some people more than likely just read the spoilers and skipped this RAW since it was taped tonight. For you guys that didn't catch this show, be sure to track that match down for sure.
-
Oh damn, that was such a great ending.
-
It'll be a damn shame if this match doesn't have a straight up non-shitty ending.
-
I bet WWE sure is glad they started this match at 10 instead of waiting until 10:55 like they usually seem to do.
-
I think these two guys have a certain type of chemistry that we usually don't see all that much. I'm really enjoying this match, and we're almost at the 30 minute mark.
-
This started right at 10 didn't it?

With the way HBK/Cena is going so far, it sure as hell feels like it's going to go for a while. Weird.
