Over the past few days I've been going through one of my "search for recent unknown films" moods, and one of the new movies that I've discovered is this little gem. Have any of you guys watched this one yet? Here is some information on it: http://www.specialthemovie.co.uk/ http://www.specialthemovie.com/ IMDB RottenTomatoes I'm not going to go crazy here with a huge post about the movie. I just wanted to mention it, and say that I highly, highly recommend it. If you can find a way to watch it, you really should. The R2 DVD just came out last week, and it might be in some random theaters in the US, but I'm not sure about that. You can also download it if you know where to look, and I'm sure all of you know about that. It's a very short movie, just 77 minutes long, but it's great. I would say it's "special", but that might be a bit too cliche. Michael Rapaport is very impressive in the film, and the story really has a lot to say by the time it's over.

I like how when they moved Davari to SD, WWE instantly gave him a huge win over Helms, shocking a lot of people since it looked like he was actually going to get a push, instead of being squashed week after week like most people thought would happen. Then, after that win, they just go ahead and do exactly what everyone expected in the first place. "THAT'S NOT A HOOK AT ALL, IT'S A HANDLE TO PULL THE CHAIN!" - Michael Cole Ok, he didn't say it, but he should have.

Will a member of the originals that's not RVD finally pick up a win against the new breed? Find out tonight!

He's a quick healer, it wont matter.

Anyone else think that Trump is horrible in this role? He's not a natural at this at all. He acts like he doesn't care about any of this at all. I feel like they forgot to cut off the cameras or something, and this is just supposed to be for the fans in the building.

How many different versions of this theme has he had now? I know it's at least two or three.

Damnit, I was hoping that Foley was going to go all Dude Love on us there instead of a "damn". Owwwwwwwww, have mercy!!!

Hurry, someone tell HBK that Fuji is on TV!

The mother of Abyss. Well, it was just a matter of time. Ugh.

Oh Jesus Christ. I can't decide if Kane/Khali just got worse, or a lot better. :lol"

Ha, for a second I thought they were bringing Tatanka back.

Holy shit, Rocky! I mark out at just him in a package like that, wow.

Well that was a nice little video for Ladd.

I'm on the verge of totally giving up on TNA until they fire Vince Russo once and for all. I've already went from never reading the spoilers and watching the TV live when it airs, to watching the shows by downloading them, to reading the spoilers, to almost totally not even reading the spoilers, to just downloading the PPVs and allowing the video packages to catch me up on everything that's going on. Yeah, the next step is to just flat out not give a shit at all. I don't want to get to that point, but it's on the verge of happening. The only two things I liked about the PPV was that I got to see Muta, and Christian is actually being pushed (but since that one makes Joe look like a douche, I don't guess it's that great of a thing in the end).

I don't think they were crying because it was "sad". I think people were crying because they were happy or felt proud for the Spartans, that sort of thing. More of a happy cry.

I saw it tonight. I'd give it around an 8 or 8.5 score, something like that. The movie is what it is, and as long as you know what that is in the first place when you go into it, you'll more than likely enjoy it. My only complaint with the movie is, like most others, the story. In theory, it's not a horrible plot or anything, and once it gets going and all of the pieces fall into place it works just fine. My problem is just with the setup. Now I can't say that they totally just jumped into the movie without laying out the story, that just isn't true. They did take the time to try to set up the story, there is a good portion at the start of the film set aside just to do that. My problem with it however is that after they tried to do that, it still didn't feel like they really explained anything. Aside from that first part, I don't have a complaint about the flick. Once it got moving, and you knew where you were heading, it was just pure fun if you ask me. Near the end, I took the time to take my eyes away from the screen to look around the packed theater, to notice the faces on everyone else. Every single person in the theater was simply transfixed on the screen. The guys looked totally into the film, many with smiles, and many of the women were actually shedding tears over certain parts of the film. I think they have a winner on their hands when it comes to the masses. Just as a side note, there were three movies at the theater tonight that were totally packed with huge lines. Those three movies were 300, Amazing Grace, and Wild Hogs. On another side note, what do you guys think of the blood effects in this movie? I for one really like the look of it in most movies that I've seen it in. I think the first movie with this type of specific effect that I noticed it in was Zatôichi (2003). I obviously wouldn't want to see that type of blood effect in every movie, but I've really liked it in all of the ones I've seen use it so far.

To me it's obvious that Melina fucked up. I'm not saying she did it because she wanted to hurt Mickie, but it's very obvious that she's at fault, and to such an extent where she should be punished in one way or another.

It had a decent match though, and Austin on the mic for the first time in a while. Not a great show, but it wasn't worthless to me.
-
I love how Kelly is always a second or two behind the other two chicks because she is watching them to know what to do. My God it's so obvious.

I keep expecting them to turn Sandman heel and have him go back to how he was in WCW for a while.
-
Well holy shit, the originals picked up their second win in this feud. They better be glad that they still have RVD.
-
Am I the only one shocked at his age? I know he's been around a while, and it's obviously the right age, but I can't think of him as 63 years old.

Always hate to hear this, RIP Bad News. So is this #3 for 2007 so far? Bam Bam Bigelow Mike Awesome Bad News

Bob Orton told me it takes about as long for a broken arm to heal up.
