    SpoilDown! Smacklers

Batista is horrible period. The show has been better since he hasn't been wrestling. My screen just went black, but I can still hear the show.

What was said? How long before some goof brings a sign that says something along the lines of "Deuce & Domino, I'm gonna pop your Cherry!"?

The Annual WWE Mass Firings Thread

Had CW been around about 30 years ago or so, he would've been one of the major players in the industry. The guy is terribly underrated by the mainstream.

That that would be one that I'm actually happy to hear about, if true. From PWInsider: Also from PWInsider:

    Bam Bam Bigelow passes away

Wow, that's horrible news. My nephew is going to hate to hear this. I doubt any of you remember this or not, but a few years ago I posted here asking for help on find a tape of Bam Bam matches and an action figure. I bought a figure and someone helped me get a "best of" Bam Bam tape, and I gave both to my nephew. I did all of that because he saw the LT match, and mocked Bam Bam since that was the only thing he'd ever seen of him. When I gave him the tape, and he watched it, he stopped mocking him and realized that he was actually damn talented. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Bam Bam, in my opinion, is the second best "big man", right behind Vader.

I was actually starting to really like Tatanka again too, oh well. The really stupid thing about most of these releases is that they never gave most of them a chance to even get over or do anything of not at all really. To me, it's just pathetic.

I remember a match on Heat or Velocity, maybe online, that was one of the Bashams against Mark Jindrak (I believe), and it was a pretty good match. Better than just about everything else they ever did on TV.

Maybe John Laurinaitis secretly worked behind the scenes back then as well. That would make even more sense.

I picked this Wario Ware: Smooth Moves yesterday at a GameStop. I walked in the store, and the three guys working there all said hello. Without really thinking I simply said "excuse me, do you guys have Smooth Moves?" They all just stared at me for a few seconds, and then one of the three said "oh, the Wario Ware game, yes we have that" and another guy started hitting himself in the head saying that he's sorry for being so stupid. They thought that I just walked in the store and wanted to know if they had any smooth moves, dancing moves and the such. I felt like a freak.

    The Youtube Thread

This is the first time that I've ever seen this one. There are six parts: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3dKLAZvT3AU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bIe8zEISFhA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kShuHZpyJGA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b02pCYbMgpM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IDI2obMi3WA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XT7wlcSiDmM EDIT: I'm on part three now, and wow, it's truly amazing that Vince and The Superstar were ever able to get on the same page at all again.

  14. He'll last another year, since Vince is a mark for the guy. Yeah, that's what I've heard time and time again, but it seems like if that was really as true as people say, then he'd already be on RAW or Smackdown by this point. It's been quite a while since he was repackaged hasn't it? Maybe he's hurt, I don't know.

They fired Rodney Mack a long time ago, then they rehired him last year to be a "ring veteran" to help teach the younger guys. They hired about four other guys at the same time for that same reason. Am I the only one who wouldn't be shocked to hear that they fire Roadkill, or whatever the hell they changed his name to?

Women died from over consumption of water

Yep, all of that audio is in the link I posted above. Near the end of the call they ask the nurse why she didn't come down to try to win the Wii, and she responds by saying "I don't want to die".

The OAO ECW Thread for 1/16/07

From PWInsider: -They had Sandman do that horrible job on ECW because they are very high on Elijah Burke and see a lot in the guy. They have major plans for him and look at him as someone that they could mold into a major star. -Paul Heyman is still under WWE contract simply because they don't want him to go to TNA. -The Brad Armstrong experiment with him on ECW with Styles and Tazz is more than likely over, as many have stated that they do notice that he wasn't doing that great at all. -Sabu is on the verge of being let go, and it could happen any time now. -Everyone considers what they did to RVD on the ECW show to be a message sent straight to him, and everyone understands it loud and clear. RVD is very disgusted with not only how he's been treated lately, but also disgusted over what the ECW brand has become. All of this isobvious, but still, there ya go.
  21. Look for a possible change to the "feel" of Smackdown. From PWInsider: -Andrew Goldstein, second in command to Michael Hayes, has been fired. He was informed by normal human resources, instead of by someone like Steph. On Smackdown, unlike on RAW and ECW, Michael Hayes dictates what he wants on the show, and then Goldstein takes all of that and puts it together in a format that can be televised. It's said that Goldstein is very popular backstage, always worked very hard, and was always a professional. Since Michael Hayes is of a more old school state of mind, he totally clashed with Goldstein, and Hayes got him fired, pushed him out the door. Many people are surprised and upset about this backstage. If the replacement for Goldstein isn't someone who can take Hayes' dictations and format them as we've been seeing over the past few weeks, you could see a dip in the value of Smackdown.

The OAO ECW Thread for 1/16/07

I forgot one thing, again from PWInsider: -Hardcore Holly is injured pretty badly right now because of nerve damage to his arm. There's no word on how long he'll be out. I hate to hear that, and I hope he comes back from it like he did from the other injury, but wow. This sure makes that job CM Punk did to Holly mean that much more.
