Bah, why don't I remember hearing about this!?
Downhome replied to Downhome's topic in The WWE Folder
I don't remember that either. I fucking love the Hogan screw up I posted in this thread, now THAT'S classic. -
I think on a 1990-91 SNME. They never feuded I don't think. They were also the final two of their Survivor Series at SS '90, and DiBiase eliminated Hart to become the last survivor. What little work I have seen of them together, I always loved.

I loved that time period, I really did. Come on guys, someone start that again so I can relive those great times! I need a laugh.

Sgt Slaughter dropping weight, 30 pounds from goal
Downhome replied to dubq's topic in The WWE Folder
Exactly. I couldn't believe that people here were all, "OMG HE B DYIN~!", he's just getting in better shape. In that match with Orton, he looked the best he has in years. Congrats to Sgt. Slaughter! Now all he needs to do is have a LONG ass talk with Rikishi. -
The Shockmaster = Yes! Necrophilia = No!

It's after a SD went off, and Brock and Heyman are in a cage together. Brock lifts up Heyman for an F5 and Kurt is supposed to do a run in to keep it from going on. So Kurt is at the door of the cage, trying his best to open the cage door...all the while Brock has Heyman up on his shoulders waiting for Angle to break it up. Kurt pulls, pushes, kicks, and just hits on the door but it wont open. All the while Tazz is shouting "Look Cole, Brock is making Heyman just think about the pain, how it will feel!". Heyman eventually goes for Brock's eyes, Brock drops him, Angle climbs OVER the cage, gets in the ring...Brock obviously can see what's going on with that, he picks Heyman BACK up, waits a second, and Angle can finally break up the F5. What's so great, aside from all of that, is that the fans were so hot when Brock finally lifted Heyman up. As this goes on and on, they eventually just don't give a shit and don't respond at all for the actual spot. Another pretty funny one if anyone cares. -
Wasn't Trish LAUGHING, not knowing she was on camera?
-
Funny as hell! I don't even remember this being talked about here when this match took place, it's fucking great. I'm starting to wondering how RAW can do a live show each week, and it's VERY rare for them to ever have a screw up to the extent of this, or to the extent of what happened on last weeks SD where they had to edit it. Sincerely, ...Downhome...

So...the 1993 Royal Rumble would be on it then? Let's see, you had Max Moon, El Matador, The Model, Papa Shango, High Energy, Giant Gonzales, Damien Demento, Irwin R. Schyster, Repo Man... There is no telling what you could put on it, go back to the 80's as well. I'm not talking about shit that made fans sick, like some of the stuff from the past few years either. I'm talking about the GOOD crap, if that makes any sense.

I still want WWE to release a big DVD set of WrestleCrap/gimmicks.
-
By the way, I only say that because I just don't comprehend how any good at all could come from their being together, no hard feelings or anything.
-
Ugh. Jericho wouldn't be the cause for his reactions, the fans would cheer for tits. Trish would be made to look like of fool, being manhandled all the time by men, making the women's division look like shit loosing all credibility. This isn't rocket science.
-
Stop the talk that Jericho and Trish should be together, it would suck, and wouldn't work. I have a very weird feeling that all of this could mean the eventual returns of Jeff Hardy, Edge, and some other wrestler to get with Trish.
-
Come on, it'd be easy as hell to have a three disc DVD set. I could make one for just about anyone if I really wanted to.
-
Then as soon as Trish believes him again, and he takes her for a bone ride...he revels that he wont the bet, tosses her to the curb, and that's that.
-
They all live in a yellow submarine.
-
I think Arn Anderson could be a hell of a manager for a more major guy, as long as they kept the main focus on whoever he's paired with. I still want them to bring in someone like Jeff G. Bailey.
-
They would still work in this day and age, if they didn't focus so much on the valets as the core of the angles and the such, and if they weren't wrestlers. I could see Stacey as a great valet, as long as they took the focus off of her. I don't know if she could just become any ol' valet now though, after how they've treated her. I think Gayda could be pretty good as long as they don't put too much more of a focus on her. Gals like Torrie, Trish, Lita...I don't see how any of them can be succesfull valets ever again though, they are just too big now.
-
The problem isn't with the concept of a manager/valet, the problem is that WWE has had trouble finding the right pairing of guys/gals to make it really work.
-
I think we should start a petition for NO MORE FUCKING PETITIONS! You know, to go in effect AFTER said petition, heh.
-
You got me, I never understood that myself.
-
I think you're jumping to conclusions. I don't see them leaving Jericho and Hardy off of the PPV. I don't know who they'll wrestle, but I'm looking for some sort of tag or six man match. Or, God help us, a mix-tag match of some sort at the PPV.
-
You forgot to mention "and not Stephanie McMahon like in early 2002." Just wanted to remind you of that. Thanks a lot. I'm against ANYONE being paired up with a wrestler, who is more over than they are or who gets the focus more than the said wrestler. I think that's part of the reason that they never had Flair or Anderson manage someone like a Benoit or the such in WWE, like so many here seemed to want for so long. I want a valet like Sensational Sherri and Miss Elizabeth, gals who can do their role but not be the center of everything...not be the focus. I thought Terri did a great job with Goldust, they were perfect with one another...for various reasons. Richards is also a pretty good valet for Victoria.
-
Just keep the women who wrestle...in their division, please. It just works out better that way for everyone. If they want someone with Jericho, have it be a valet, not a super over chick like Trish or Lita.
-
That's stupid. Why would Trish just be 'his woman' when she is the biggest female wrestler they have? MY POINT EXACTLY. Thank you. She's much too big to just go and be a valet now. Anyone she's with, she'll the the source of heat for whoever it is, it wont be THEIR getting over, it'll just be their feeding off of her, and I hate when they do that...it hurts everyone. Also, as I said in my previous post, it makes the women's division look like crap when they get tossed around like nothing at all by the men. They should stick to their division if they are going to HAVE their division.
