  1. I guess I look at the "who did who wrong" like this. Has any rebuttal from Warrior in terms of what would be percieved fact from WWE (lets use the part where Warrior left after SS 91) been even proven by Warrior to be bullshit? If he would and could document and prove such accustations and sticky situations that happened in WWE during any of his runs, I'd love to see them as all I keep seeing is him making up some nonsensical stories, essentially just throwing shit back and them and seeing if it sticks. Plus for those who actually saw the Warrior DVD, I didnt even feel it was THAT much of a burial, at least wasnt as bad as I expected. Ross and others gave him credit when credit was due for having a unique charisma, etc. Meanwhile, Warrior name calls and generally resorts to immature attacks on anyone and everyone in the company, current or past - be it Todd Grisham and Droz, or whoever. So the way I look at it is this: WWE: Valid points and reasons WHY he sucks ass. Hell even Heenan, granted he went a little overboard on the hate, but he had a completely valid point about the Warrior not protecting his fellow workers, as they showed Warrior straight up unprotecting Heenan during a press slam spot, I believe at Mania V. Warrior: Using typical political style tactics to draw attention away from the situations in question that he was accused for. He didnt address HHH's accusations at all regarding the Mania 12 match, and instead just name called him and moreless turned into an annoying smark.
  2. Seems as if I'm in the minority, but Warrior's rants makes him look like the real bitter bitchboy of the situation more than even WWE. At least the DVD gave him credit in some respects - Warrior is flat out on attack mode here without any real logic - as usual. For him to tell everyone in WWE that they are bashing him because they are just bitter, well thats just flat out stupid.

    TNA 3 Pack at Wal-Mart

I didnt even know the set was out yet......

Nash must win the World Title.

Well, I've never heard him so overtly give a verbal blowjob to someone more than Nash did to Brown during his Torch Talk interview. I honestly think Nash would put him over if the situation arised. He seemed to have gotten the fact that Brown "has it" and even more importantly, he publicly critisized the company for not letting Brown run with the ball and be given the title.

    Bound For Glory

A ten man elimination tag match would be ok definately, compared to Jarrett-Nash. From there, you could do a Brown turn on Jarrett to cost him the match against whoever (perhaps Raven?). I hope they don't do a KOTM match already again as it normally wouldnt be a bad idea, but they just did it in June. Shamrock has been talked about in returning, and I'd even be all for a Jarrett/Ortiz v. Shamrock/??? match or Shamrock v. Jarrett. Obviously the point here is that there are many other valid options other than Nash/Jarrett, which I cannot understand why that is even being considered. I know that TNA and other THINK that those are the two largest draws, but on a larger scale uprising like this, those two guys are NOT the two to start out the new era with on top in your world title match. It gives the casual viewer not only the easy chance to not give TNA a chance by seeing that WCW circa 2000 "main event" on the ppv, but even more importantly ruins chances to get the casual viewers to order the ppv. Does anyone think that anybody will actually buy the pay per view for that???!!!

    Bound For Glory

Another quick thought about the BFG main event - why not just do Ortiz v. Jarrett for the world title? Fuck, that would be even better than Nash-Jarrett.
  7. That match pretty much makes zero sense but then again it's an easy filler to what is going to be a definate filler show.

Nash must win the World Title.

This point here is definately something to consider. Assuming and hoping that Brown is the real person here that TNA is working towards building as their real long term champion, I would much rather see Nash as a badass heel putting Brown over versus another match/storyline with Jarrett and Brown. But its really tit for tat as both Nash and Jarrett really shouldnt be on top of this company as champion right now, period. But if I had to pick the lesser of two evils right now, I'd trust Nash putting over Brown much more effectively than Jarrett.

    Bound For Glory

Wow, so far the lineup looks great......until you get to the uber-boring and NOT A DRAWING PPV MAIN EVENT in Jarrett v. Nash. I'm sure there was probably others plans initally (Jarrett v. Foley?) for this spot, but it's still no excuse for such a ridiculously depressing main event to their big step into the proverbial spotlight. Its like we're right back to where we started from with this company when shit like this happens. I'm actually more understanding at the moment of the whole Jarrett title switch thing, as it SOUNDS like TNA in general might know what they are doing with him as champ and will build to a worthy title switch from him instead of an out of nowhere pointless deal as was done with Styles beating Jarrett for the title in May. With that said, Brown v. Jarrett realistically is not a real option yet as that needs to be built more, and especially they got to work on Brown alot more, to turn him on to a whole new audience. Give him the belt in 2-3 months or so. There is still no excuse why they couldnt give Raven/Jarrett 3 a shot here. A rematch, especially on a large stage, is most definately warranted. Raven is, quite frankly, at this point in wrestling, as big of a name as Nash is. Your general wrestling fan who might tune to Spike TV to catch TNA are going to remember Raven just as much as Nash from the past. So what the fuck exactly ARE they going to do with Raven at this ppv?

    Shawn Michaels vs. Kurt Angle

Not if it's not with the right wrestlers. Steamboat and Rude did a 30 minute Iron Man back in '92 in WCW that was a great match. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> And Styles-Daniels wasnt too shabby either.

    Heat/Velocity status addressed by WWE.com

Quick question to anyone who can help......will there be the ability to download the shows, save them to your computer, and then perhaps burn them onto a DVD-R? And if so, how will the video quality of such be? Also, if anyone wanted to do this, that would be fucking tremendous. I would gladly set up some trades with them, unless they just water down the shows so much now that they will be pointless to even check out.

    Shawn Michaels vs. Kurt Angle

The show is so loaded already that adding this to it would be huge overkill from a "doing what's right for business" perspective. They'd be better off at this point using the Ironman match with these two at Survivor Series or even the next Raw brand ppv.

    LOST

The fucking Twin Cities ABC affiliate didn't show the first 15 minutes of the show due to a tornado warning coming through town. Can anyone give me a link or a synopsis of what all happened that first 15 minutes? They didnt come back to the show until the scene where Kate and Locke are talking....

    WWE Celebrity Rumor

So the Canseco rumors were addressed by Rome? The funny thing is, as far as I know, ALL speculation (and yes, thats all it is) has just been riled up by Wade Keller with the only thing that is for certain is that supposedly McMahon is in talks with a major name to appear at Mania - that's it. And I'll re-emphasize that anyone who thinks Eminem wouldnt draw tremendous publicity is using their own assumed hatred of him or rap in general instead of the reality of the situation in that Eminem is a definate mainstream draw anyway you slice it. He has done extremely impressive business in music and made a assload of money in the box office even, off 8 Mile. And yes, if they get him in, it would definately beat anything WCW did - in fact damn near anyone will beat "anything" that WCW did because it's Mania - period. Actually, the only celebrity crossover draw that I can recall WCW really making substantial $$$ off of was the Rodman/Malone deal. And even that wasn't as successful as Tyson at Mania 14 was.

    No More Hassan

I'm in total agreement. Granted I hated the gimmick and I wasnt impressed by either his workrate or mic skills, but he still didn't deserve this. They should have at least left him in developmental for awhile and had him return with a different gimmick.

    House of the Dead

Indeed as someone said, Alone in the Dark is well worse than House of the Dead, and thats saying ALOT. Bol's next project is Bloodrayne, of course another take on a video game. Surprisingly I've heard semi-decent reviews so far.

    WWE Celebrity Rumor

Cmon guys, if Eminem actually worked, say a tag match w/ Cena at Mania, that would draw mainstream interest more than almost any other celeb in Mania history (one exception being Tyson) - like the guy or not. Speaking of Tyson, at this point in his life, I wouldnt doubt he wouldn't mind coming back to WWE at some point, probably for a match this time. The Jose Canseco rumors, well lets just hope they are rumors as that seems like a god awful idea.

    HUGE Maven news

Damn they are really stretching for people for this show - I can already see the first episode where abso-fuckin-lutely NOBODY in the house knows who the fuck Maven is. If they were going to get a wrestler, why not some semi-household name from the 80s, like it seems to be the theme with all of the others? Who is Harwell and Lowell?

    Smackdown Spoilers

Well Smackdown sure sounds....different. And thats me trying to be as nice as possible considering what I see here. The show sounds counterproductive to say the least. This brand seems to have a problem moving on from certain stale situations and storylines, such as Jordan still trying to beat Benoit for example. And what are they doing with MNM anyway? Sadly, this Saturday's Velocity will be the last one ever it appears. Was hoping they would have done more than that with the show, but it still sounds alright.

Will Matt lose his heat by going to Smackdown?

Probably from me - I have a friend who spoke with Jim Ross over the weekend when he was backstage at the ZZ Top show and Ross told him Hardy was going over at the ppv and then at some point would be going to Smackdown. After last night's announcement of the ladder match, I think this certainly is going to happen.

The One And Only Unforgiven Thread

Well I'm thankful I didnt order the show. Ending the ppv with that finish in Cena/Angle is ridiculous. No excuse for that, ESPECIALLY when this show looked horrible on paper to begin with so it had a major strike against it in the first place. When ppvs generally sounds bad on paper, I would be inclined to think the bookers should really turn up the notch to make a show standout, so ppv replay buys are strong. I sure as hell didn't expect them to, but it would have made much more sense doing Hardy/Edge as the main event, given the finish/blowoff. Now I just am curious if Hardy does in fact go to Smackdown, as Jim Ross supposedly told my ZZ Top buddy over the weekend. BTW, on a total side note, apparently good ole J.R. can smoke the herb with the best of em, so I've been told!! No joke....
  22. True, but there is just other ways to get better seats if that is what it all comes down to. You can score a much better seat by being online (especially for the pre-sale) versus waiting in line.

    NWA Championship News

Not that I expected them to, but during last night's Impact Best of show, there was no mention of the title change from Tenay or West (who did lead-in segments of all the matches in studio). What I am really curious about is how long this was planned ahead of time to give the title to Jarrett again. Something tells me this was a serious hot shot booking move that might have not even been planned days before.
  24. In this day and age, I dont get why people camp out at a ticket office to get tickets. There's so many other ways to get tickets right away when they go on sale (phone, internet, etc) and also when you include the pre-sale, it just baffles me. Plus if last year was any indication, Mania tickets (and with face value) are going to be plentiful on Ebay and even Ticketmaster, literally days before the show.
  25. That's not a given they will do the same kind of typical stips and formula as last year. I think, in fact, they likely WONT since there was alot of assuming that the fact that they didnt have a clear world title match and did the pick the challenger thing might have hurt the card overall, in that there wasnt a clear main event match to build. So chances are it will be Cena v. Angle with a stipulation that will be decided by the fans. I'll be interested to see how different they do this show compared to last years. I really like the concept behind this but there were definate mistakes from last year that they should work on. What decent stip(s) could be added to a HHH-Flair match?
