I didnt see Edge react to it much but yeah they were brawling around ringside by the entrance way - the fan must have been right in front obviously to be so audible

I'll just say this much - any fan who DIDNT know about the whole Hardy thing now does thanks to this guy yelling at Edge down at ringside area. Guys was saying "why did you cheat on your wife, etc" Hard to explain but it's must hear!!

Ya know, if they had more decent tag teams in WWE, the fact that they gave Hurricane and Rosey the tag belts would be much cooler. I suppose this is payback for having HHH make ya look like shit in the wrong kind of handicap match. Finish was good and yeah, Hurricane was bumpin all over the place.

F'n Resistance just beat Regal/Tajiri, ugh - this match makes me feel like I'm watching Heat - Hurricane/Rosie v. Resistance now for tag titles - WTF

Holy shit, Jericho-Benjamin was one of better IC title matches I've seen in a LONG time (we're talking YEARS) - plus they almost got 20:00 - for sure this will have to be MOTN. At least **** with a ton of great nearfalls and a finishing series which was off the hook with Benjamin winning. To see this opening a WWE ppv was well worth the show so far......they really tore it down for an opener.

DOI reporting that Chris Candido has died...

While I dont think thats how you meant it the way I am taking it (like that you think because he used in the past that he's fair game for this sort of thing happening), blaming his past for his death is totally wrong, since the whole situation with painkillers/medicine really had nothing to do with his death (but something to do with the pain he may have been suffering in general post-surgery) but from what I heard the doctors broke down and gave him meds when they realized he's clean and sober and needed them. The obvious negligence is in their surgery process (perhaps a dirty knife or something that infected him internally) was the reason of his passing and dare I say, in the aftermath of all of this, I can easily see a lawsuit for malpractice. This is a fucked up deal for sure, and saddened to see him pass away - he will be missed and I thought his pairing with the Naturals was just starting to take off.

    Final Justice Talk

SPOILERS FROM IMPACT TAPING BELOW.......... Undercard was somewhat announced at the Impact tapings (which sounded ok including a tag title change as the Naturals beat AMW out of nowhere) which includes: Gauntlet for the Gold rumble for what I would assume is a title shot at the Anniversary show with 20 guys, Abyss is number 20 after winning THE EXACT SAME GAUNTLET MATCH off the third week of Impact. That is VERY weird to book the exact same match on TV with the (I would presume) all of the same 20 wrestlers that will be in the one on the ppv. Daniels v. Shocker for the X title which should be f'n tremendous Last man standing match w/ Raven v. Hardy Most likely AMW v. Naturals for the tag titles since Naturals beat AMW at the taping. And of course the Styles v. Jarrett match with Ortiz as ref Sounds like a decent ppv again this next time around, probably will be a few X division undercard matches and that should be the complete card.

Meltzer is reporting these two matches noted are actually going to be on Raw tonight and not the ppv, he could be wrong though.

    WM 21 Buyrate

EDIT - Nevermind, got answered elsewhere. I was wrong anyway.

    WM 21 Buyrate

Not that I didnt think the ppv would do a decent number, but I didnt see it coming anywhere near 1,000,000 buys. At this rate, it might end up over that hump since I know the prelim estimates are 99 percent below the actual number by the time all is said and done when you calculate replays and such. Guess all of that money spent in advertising worked! Now the big question is what exactly drew this large buyrate?

    Judgment Day card

Did they really have to take the belt off Cena actually? That didnt serve to help anyone, it made Cena looks kind of chumpish (even though he clearly got his return job back last week) in the Mania build, and it really didnt help Jordan at all either, as he hasnt had one good match since the reign, nor a feud to draw from. I thought they were going to at least consider Jordan v. Booker at Mania at least, and they didnt even do that. They would have been better off with Cena keeping the US title and just vacating it post-Mania. THEN if you want to give the title to Jordan, fine - it just seemed so weak and secondary how he got the belt in the first place. Plus, like I said, the guy doesnt even deserve a title now, he's borderline snoozer material. Angle v. Booker seeds have already been planted with Angle and Sharmell having some words week before last on SD.

Haas needs to be traded to Raw to feud with Benjamin - he's completely going nowhere in Smackdown. Ironically, so is 3/4 of the Smackdown roster.

    Judgment Day card

Honestly, Jordan doesnt deserve a spot on the card - I am still trying to figure out why they even gave him the US title. Also, he's the most bland character in WWE these days. And his workrate is the shits too. Well, as the US Champion, he has to have a match regardless. they could just have Taker squash him and take the US title off him. if thats what you like? If you would have read my post above, I said they should take the title off Jordan ASAP on either Angle or Booker and make that match for the US title to make it more important.

    Judgment Day card

As much of a shitfest it would be, I'd rather see Akebono v. Show in a worked wrestling match. Just do something like Show chokeslams him and the ring gives way or something. Carlito could then be open to take on Taker, a much more marketable and logical match since didnt Carlito interview Taker at some point and got chokeslammed? Revenge time.....

    Judgment Day card

I'm still uncertain if I should even bother with going to this live. I probably will though. They were blatantly advertising Cena v. JBL on TV commercials during Smackdown this past week here in MN. Obviously they are running these commericals and such way too early before the show they are running ads on are even building such to this point. I guess not that it really matters but it's just bad to leak the card out before Bradshaw even has won that fatal four way match. Angle v. Booker would make more sense if there was a title involved there, probably the US title. Eddy v. Rey I'm all about in a rematch. With the face/heel roles defined more there, it should be good, and most certainly an improvement over Mania. Show v. Carlito, whats that crap? I would bet MNM v. maybe a returning Dudleys, London v. Chavo, something with the Diva chicks, and maybe a match with Heidenreich v. Morgan? Where is Taker?!!

    Backstage news from LockDown

Well that explains why everyone worked real hard last night. A meeting like that was most definately in order after the last few months being kind of a mess with Rhodes.

    Lockdown predictions

One thing I forgot to mention, from a production standpoint this was one of TNA's better looking ppvs in that sense. The opening video intro was very well done and the camera work to get the best shots inside the cage via the overhead cam or else by having those holes in the cage definately worked.

    Lockdown predictions

In retrospect, maybe I was a lil high on the main event admittedly (I was pretty chemically influenced by that point), I'll have to check it out again but it was at least **** no doubt. On a side note, I can't fathom how Wade Keller gave the Lethal Lockdown match a better star rating than anything else on the show. I thought that was the worst match of the show.

    Lockdown predictions

First oof, I didn't go into this show thinking it would be bad. I wasn't sure what it was going to be. I thought it was going to be good or bad. No in between. It was the latter. Second, I never said there were any 5 star matches in the X-Division becuase they're haven't been any in TNA. I was saying that that would probably be the rating you would give to the X-Division matches that were much better than this one because you gave it 4 stars. Third, the amount of tables I've seen are irrelevant. The match was dull, plain and simple. Finally, the main event was good. I don't argue that. But with the rating you've given it it would be amongst the greatest matches of this millenium. So in my humble opinion. This was a crap PPV. Your criteria to rate matches is just different than mine, thats all

    Lockdown predictions

Yeah I guess this is kind of my criteria DUD - well duh, nothing match that never shouldnt have happened - EX: Brown v. Trytan * - Match that doesnt have much value at all, goes too long without keeping attention, if maybe a nice spot or sonething at thats it. Most free TV matches probably fall between this and ** to me. ** - Slightly below average, still not worth checking the match out as a whole as in most cases a match at ** to me was one good in theory but not as well done in execution, but there is usually a few good moments from the match or at least the effort was there by someone. *** - Solid match that deserves praise as keeping an undercard's momentum going, etc. Both guys working hard, but maybe limited by time constraints or a really easy to follow flow to take it up higher. Good examples of between this level and **** (usually at *** 1/2 or so) are always your typical Raw main events that goes around 15 minutes or Benoit v. Edge a few weeks ago on Raw was a good one too. Finish and match as a whole accomplishes something, although its not a "must see" match. **** - Definately worth going out of your way to see, match is given time to develop, hard working, good finish and context but there are flaws, but nothing that makes or break the match as a whole. Memorable spots that stick out for sure. Some stuff is still missing here though such as tremendous start to finish psychology for example. ***** - Clearly a "perfect" match which is few and far between. Michaels and Angle came closest in recent memory. I dont think I can say TNA ever had a ***** match but there's been at least a half dozen in the last 6 months around the **** to ***** 1/2 range.
